Stopped here for a friend and co-worker get together. One group from Denver the other from California. What a great little spot for a REALLY good meal. I completely don't remember what everyone ordered but I DO remember all the things I tried at the table. Tater Tots - parmesan & chives / house onion sour cream - nothing outstanding about this but the kids/teens/young adults LOVED it and may have inhaled it in one breath. Roasted Cauliflower - saffron cream / chermoula / sumac / miso aioli / crispy onion - the saffron cream was a nice touch of essence and the crispy onion brought a good sweetness and texture to the dish. Honey Bourbon Wings - fried chicken wings / honey bourbon glaze / dill pickles - this was FABULOUS, good fry, not burnt and the glaze was perfect, not ooey gooey sticky, just sticky to the touch. Wild Boar Bucatini - wild boar ragu / cured egg yolk / parmesan / chives - this was my dinner order. I'm always excited when there's bucatini on the menu. It just holds enough sauce in the hollows to satisfy me. The ragu was cooked well, good sauce maybe it needed just a little pinch more of salt for my liking. Parking in the neighborhood is not difficult. We had an airbnb down the street and walked here in less than 5 minutes. There's indoor and outdoor seating as well as a covered patio-ish area. My sister, niece and I went for dinner the other night. They were able to squeeze us in without a reservation which was great but the hostess had absolutely no idea what was going on. Not sure if she was new or what. Our server was lovely though! We got the carrots, cauliflower, and the buffalo ragu (I think it was Buffalo - maybe boar?) and the the sticky toffee pudding cake for dessert. All of the dishes were delicious!! The carrots were cooked perfectly! Not sure what the purre was on the bottom but it was yummy! Loved the nuts for a crunch also! The cauliflower was yummy and the sauce was fantastic! A very nice date night spot! Food was pretty good with unique flavors and combos. Tried the mushroom poutine (3/5 not my favorite and lacking some flavor depth), roasted cauliflower (4.5/5 this was great, a lot of aioli on it though), wild boar bucatini (4/5 really tasty but a whole lot of excess oil), and sticky toffee pudding (5/5 would recommend). Until recently, they weren't open for lunch however something magical happened this Spring and BAM! They are now open for delicious business starting at 11:30am. This officially makes them the best lunch spot in town. :D Why? Well... because it's the exact same menu, staff, vibe and service as dinner! Everything stays 5 STAR+. In fact, it just gives you the opportunity to try something off the menu that maybe feels more lunchtime than dinner. As stated in previous reviews, I've eaten here a handful of times. Yet, I've never had anything from the handheld / sandwich section of the menu. It was a new day today, though! That's right. My husband and I tried the Crispy Sweet Sesame Chicken Sandwich w/ a side salad and the Pastrami Sandwich w/ tots. They were both 5 STARS but the Crispy Sweet Sesame Chicken Sandwich was CLUCKING FANTASTIC!! Shout out to our waitress, Brady, who really suggested this to us. Thank goodness we listened, because it may have been one (if not the best) chicken sandwich we'd ever had!! What made it so special? I think it was their use of chicken thigh instead of breast. I have mixed feelings about the Community Supper Club. The double cheeseburger with bacon costs $22, and it was average at best--bordering on poor. The bun fell apart, leaving me to eat the burger with a fork, and the flavor was just okay. The patties were too dense, and there was nothing exciting about this expensive burger. Red Robin offers a far better burger at 50% less. This burger was about as disappointing as a burger could be, so I give it 2 stars. On the other hand, the Wild Boar Bucatini was 5 stars and absolutely amazing! Service was attentive and good--4 stars. However, the restaurant was cold, and my wife and I both had to keep our jackets on throughout the meal. - 3 stars The biggest disappointment--and the main reason I would never go back--is the 4% Kitchen Tip that gets added to your bill. I just hate when restaurants do this because I know many people don't catch it and end up tipping on top of the 4%. While I appreciate the challenges restaurants have faced since COVID, I strongly disagree with the practice of adding hidden fees like a 4% "back of house fee" or "kitchen love" charge to the bill. These fees feel deceptive and unnecessary. If a restaurant needs to pay their staff better, they should simply raise menu prices transparently rather than tacking on a mandatory charge at the end of the meal. As a customer, I want to know upfront what I'm paying for, and I don't think it's fair to disguise what is essentially a wage adjustment as a separate fee. This practice shifts the burden of fair compensation onto diners in a way that feels sneaky and undermines trust. I would much rather see higher menu prices that reflect the true cost of running the business than be surprised by hidden charges on my bill. For this reason, I always deduct one star when a restaurant uses this tactic. Transparency and fairness matter, and I hope more restaurants will move toward honest pricing instead of relying on these hidden fees. read more

We were traveling on a road trip from NC and needed a place to eat food. Community Supper club was awesome for food and drinks and service. We had the gem greens salad (house bleu cheese dressing / squash / candied nuts / gorgonzola blue cheese / pepitas). Then we had the mussels (tasso ham / fennel / green onion / apple / sourdough). They were welcoming! What a cool place , rotating chef driven menu, great mellow vibe, all very nice people. Service - FOOD and choices ! So nice when there are no expectations but the aggregate reviews here at Y when traveling. I don't post a lot but use the App often. Visiting from out of town and wanted a nice spot to eat with a friend. I picked this place because a quick look at the menu showed a few vegan options (I'm vegan). There were 2 vegan options-an entree and a sandwich. The sandwich was more affordable so I chose that option. It was a crispy eggplant sandwich on sourdough which sounds meh--but it was PHENOMENAL!!!! One of the best sandwiches I have ever had in my life. Even if you aren't vegan you need to try this amazing creation. It came with tots but you could upgrade to mac and cheese (not vegan) or salad. We sat on the back patio area which was very nice. It did sprinkle rain a little bit not heavily. The inside of the restaurant was quite dark. The front patio was nice looking too! I appreciated the jug of water on the table as I dislike always needing a refill. The wait staff was very attentive. I will definitely be back here when I'm back in town. They should add a few 100% vegan appetizers!! That would make this place 6 stars! read more

The burgers are great, but I've stopped going there completely. The ambience is very nice and relaxing. The burgers are overpriced. I've had the same type of burger with half the price elsewhere. They did have an item on the menu that they've taken off (it was a type of corn beef hash that was unbelievable and so good), so I plan on not going back. I believe when I've posted this once before the manager or representative disagreed and that's OK because I'm not looking for their acceptance just helping other patrons. This extraordinary restaurant located in downtown Lafayette is a surprising gem. When you arrive, be on the lookout for street parking. There is some, but take the first one you see within 3 blocks! We made a reservation in advance through OpenTable and were seated immediately upon arrival. A very surprising five star restaurant. Located right on the Main Street. Looooved the food. Probably the best I had on my trip to Denver and the surrounding areas. Great vegan, vegetarian options. I went for brunch and dinner and thought both experiences were good. Overall, good service and ambiance. Food is solid, but to me, everything was missing a little something to be amazing. Mushroom poutine: good concept and portions. The sauce/gravy was really yummy. Great for people who don't like mushroom because you can't really taste the flavor or texture of mushroom, so a bit disappointing for mushroom lovers like me. May I suggest using a meatier type of mushroom and a lighter batter if the dish is going to be describe with the word "tempura"? 1/2 bird: I especially liked the leg part - juicy and tender. The garish and other ingredients really complimented the dish and was delicious. However, if I ate the chicken on its own it tasted like it was unseasoned. So I NEEDED the garnish with every bite. It's somewhat of a pet peeve of mine when chefs don't season the food well along the cooking process and mainly rely on garish or salt and pepper at the end. Missed opportunity for more flavor depth and highlight of the main ingredient - the chicken. Carrots: probably my favorite dish? I like the touch of lemon. Wish portion was larger for the price point. Birria Grilled Cheese: I liked this dish. I thought the meat was done well and the cheese was really creamy and complimentary. I asked for a salad instead of fries and that was tasty as well. The consomme came with lime, cilantro, and red onions on the side, recommended to be mixed in and eaten together. I assume the meat was cooked in the consomme because the flavor was the same and that makes sense lol. Since the meat in the sando was already saucy, I expected more flavor modification to the consomme for it to be an effective dipping sauce. For a sandwich as heavy as this one, I would love to have more acid to cut the fat. I recommend asking for double or triple the amount of garnish (lime, red onion, cilantro) and their house green hot sauce, if you're into it. The acid will only bring out and add more layers of flavors to the buttered, meaty, cheesy sandwich. I couldn't taste the yuzu aioli at all, but the idea is nice and probably convinced me to order the dish. The olive oil cake was also good, but I've had better... where the saltiness of the olives and mildness of the oil were better highlighted. I imagine if the cake is just a plain yellow cake, there would not be a huge difference in taste. Personally I don't prefer crumbly cakes. But I did like all the components to the dish. It was fun! I was having a hard time deciding what drink to order and my server was so nice to give me samples. Really appreciated that. I love that there are 4oz options to order for lighter drinkers too - brilliant! read more

What a NICE restaurant! They were so accommodating when I reserved seats for 10 and only 3 of us showed! Riley was the BEST waitperson! So friendly and upbeat. The owner came and filled our water glasses and we got to chat- very nice guy! The food was DELICIOUS! We had the Miles for cocktails, made with their own Ginger Beer. I was craving steak and frites so my husband suggested we try this place on Saturday morning. It was a nice surprise they had a farmers market that day. Parking was hard to find but it was mainly because of the farmers market. We came right at the opening. They were so quick to seat us and get us drinks and our food. Try the peach old fashioned. That tequila during these hot ass summer days was refreshing. The fresh stone fruit salad was delicious and beautifully dressed. Corn fritters were good too- that relish to compliment the fritters were a win. I did enjoy the steak and fritters. They had tator tots Instead. Still delicious. I was kinda disappointed from the size of actual steak with our meal tbh. For a $30 dish I would expect more. That would be the only real complaint I have. Service was good. read more

We last visited Community about a year ago and we left in awe of the food, service, and atmosphere! We couldn't stop talking about how amazing the entire experience was. We finally made it back last night, excited for our second experience but it fell a little short of this first (granted, it left big shoes to fill). The staff and ambiance were still amazing, the cheeseburger and Mac and cheese were delicious and we felt it was a fair price, but we were a little disappointed by the steak. I honestly chalk it up to either an off night for the kitchen, or perhaps just personal preference but we felt it lacked a little flavor and it was unfortunately a pretty chewy cut of meat. We sadly didn't love the flavor of the smoke used to char the vegetables on the side either. We were, however, so exited and surprised by the homemade sauces offered on the side with the tots. Our waitress was kind enough to let us try a few and they were delicious. We finished our meal with the Sticky Toffee Pudding which was also amazing. We look forward to visiting again, but we might recommend sticking to some of the more exciting seasonal dishes on the menu than the classics next time! read more

First date night of 2022, my wife and I found this gem. It was tough to find a great restaurant without reservations, but Yelp handed me this suggestion, and we gave it a try. When we arrived, they had one table open, and luckily we were able to take it. The staff was friendly and got us tucked into this weird, quaint little spot where we took in the drink menu from the QR code on the table. My wife ordered this fig cocktail called La Figue, which was a solid ten. I had their Uncle Scrooges Rye Old Fashioned, which was also excellent. We ordered the crispy brussel sprouts tossed with chili vinaigrette and topped grated grana. They were slightly oily but defiantly delicious. My wife enjoyed the scottish salmon with mushrooms, baby bok choy, grilled corn, and sweet corn puree. She couldn't have been happier. The cook on the salmon was perfect, and the flavors complemented each other nicely. I had the maple-cured pork chop with blue corn buckwheat pancakes, grilled broccolini, herb butter, and cherry syrup. This was a little different, but it worked. Think chicken and waffles. It just works, and the cook and presentation were on point. We ordered the sourdough bread pudding with cayenne cinnamon butter and orange bourbon cream sauce to finish the evening. At the advice of our server, we added a scoop of praline ice cream that sent this dessert over the top. It was honestly one of the best simple desserts I've had. Near perfection! Ecstatic to find this place for dinner while we were visiting in town. Everything looked so unique and tasty that we just had to order most of the appetizers as well as a few entrees to share. All seven of us devoured everything together as it was so good. Pre-pandemic it seemed a lot more gluten-free friendly, but there still are options and the staff is still very accommodating and knowledgeable for anyone with a gluten allergy. The food is always delicious, and this has always been a go to place to bring out of town guests.
