I purchased a 2007 Subaru Outback during the end of 2024. It was not very convenient for me to go…read moreto the Subaru dealership. I got a copy of Justyn's card for his shop called Boxer Worx. I paid a visit to Justyn's shop and I explained to him that I had a Check Engine light on my Outback. He told me to bring the car in and he found a loose spark plug wire. This was corrected and he tightened a few loose bolts. I was pleased with getting my Outback up and running without making a trip to the dealership. A few months ago, I brought the Outback to Justyn to repair an oil leak. He made the repair and the rear struts were replaced once the parts arrived. The car ran great after the repairs were made. I found another new leak. Justyn made the repair and he sent me pictures of the trouble areas before making the repairs. I love the quality of the work that Justyn has done for my Outback. The price of the service has been reasonable. It is considerably less expensive than the dealership. I also the fact that Boxer Worx is my home town of Fernley. Thanks Justyn! You are my go to for Subaru service. Keep being awesome!

My experience with the owner Ted was terrible. Ted cannot be trusted because he is a liar and…read morescammer. With an automotive business it does not get any worse than that. I was towed here from highway 447 which cost a lot of money, I was then told he would fix my vehicle for x amount of money. I paid for a hotel next door and waited until the next day for updates on diagnosis and if the cost would be more than the quote he gave me. The communication was little to none (I called a few times to check in since he was not giving me any updates and I was paying daily for the hotel because I was waiting to get the jeep fixed.... When I came back in to the shop to pick up my Jeep expecting the fix to be done already Ted informed me that he couldn't figure out the problem. This was an obvious lie because my husband ended up diagnosing and fixing it for less than $200 (just a simple fix broken u-joint on a jeep). Ted then informed me that just diagnosing the Jeep would cost the amount that he had quoted me for fixing it. He started to get angry and threatening with me about it when I questioned him which as a young woman at the time in my early 20's all by myself scared me a lot so I left having been charged the money and confused about everything. Also I drove the jeep back to Reno with my hazards on at 45 mph thinking I was not going to make it and scared. I will never forget my experience here at this business with Ted who knew I was scared, tired and did not have other options. I paid for the tow to his shop, the hotel and the estimate for the quote on repairs and left with the same broken Jeep I arrived with. Ted knows if he can take advantage of you in any way he will and has no remorse about it. Ted lost the trust that's needed to run a biz like his. Unfortunately once you lose a customers trust that you will only charge what is necessary and not plot to make as much money as possible off of them by lying no one wants to leave you their vehicle with you. I am happy to think about the fact that he has lost more business than what he scammed me out of by anyone who has read his real reviews. Not only did Ted scam me but after writing my reviews he then started to send me threatening messages on yelp in my messages as well as send other customers to message me that he bamboozled with a fake sob story. This man will lie to the very end and scam you for every penny if you let him. Do yourself a favor by avoiding this place at all costs because as soon as his mouth opens you will be off worse than when you arrived and that's a guarantee.

My job was done early but there was paint on the side of the vehicle. The issue with it being done early was I was not spoken to until a few hours before causing me to have to pay extra for a rental car because the original estimate was wrong. Since Jason was out of the office I was told he would touch base with me by Tuesday but he did not attempt to contact me till Thursday when I did not have service. His next call was Friday to come pick up the vehicle. This was a long holiday weekend and the rental place was closing in 2 hours. We previously worked out he would leave it for me to pick up over the weekend so I could arrange a ride. He promised the keys would be left behind the desk to be picked up the following Tuesday when the shop reopened. Not only were the keys left in the car I have a newer truck so it's physically impossible to leave the keys in it and it to be locked. Sadly today I was referred to go to this shop again to deal with good ol Jason. He proceeded to badger me of why I would want to work with him again. To be frank progressive said they don't have alot going on and the body shop I was trying to go to in Reno did not have the proper frame working tools as this company does. Instead of being professional he sadly trauma dumped about why he didn't call me instead of just saying sorry I missed this because of my vacation. Telling a pregnant woman about your daughters loss is so not tackful. A simple I'm sorry I didn't call you as my front desk had stated I would, would have kept me as a client and owned up to an honest mistake. Trauma dumping is so unprofessional. I definitely thought it would be worth the drive to reno to get my car fixed vs dealing with emotionally charged workers who miss final details. Good luck with this shop!
