I am very disappointed with the service I have received. Previously, I let it slide as the progressive adjuster was on vacation and the shop must have just miscommunicated. My job was done early but there was paint on the side of the vehicle. The issue with it being done early was I was not spoken to until a few hours before causing me to have to pay extra for a rental car because the original estimate was wrong. Since Jason was out of the office I was told he would touch base with me by Tuesday but he did not attempt to contact me till Thursday when I did not have service. His next call was Friday to come pick up the vehicle. This was a long holiday weekend and the rental place was closing in 2 hours. We previously worked out he would leave it for me to pick up over the weekend so I could arrange a ride. He promised the keys would be left behind the desk to be picked up the following Tuesday when the shop reopened. Not only were the keys left in the car I have a newer truck so it's physically impossible to leave the keys in it and it to be locked. Sadly today I was referred to go to this shop again to deal with good ol Jason. He proceeded to badger me of why I would want to work with him again. To be frank progressive said they don't have alot going on and the body shop I was trying to go to in Reno did not have the proper frame working tools as this company does. Instead of being professional he sadly trauma dumped about why he didn't call me instead of just saying sorry I missed this because of my vacation. Telling a pregnant woman about your daughters loss is so not tackful. A simple I'm sorry I didn't call you as my front desk had stated I would, would have kept me as a client and owned up to an honest mistake. Trauma dumping is so unprofessional. I definitely thought it would be worth the drive to reno to get my car fixed vs dealing with emotionally charged workers who miss final details. Good luck with this shop! read more

I dropped off my car last month and was told that it would take 2 weeks to work on, and be ready for pick up on July 1st 2021. I showed up in the afternoon, cash in hand, on the 1st to pick it up. There wasn't a soul in the office, even though the front door was unlocked. I waited awhile, shouting "Hello" loudly, and called the phone number twice, before banging on the door leading back into the shop a few times. After not getting a response that way either, I opened the shop door and yelled "Hello" there a couple times also, before someone finally realized that there was someone there in their establishment. That's when the great news came... The mechanic came up and asked what I was there for, so I told him which vehicle was mine, and that I was told by the office manager, Valerie, that my car was supposed to be ready for pick up that day. He said okay and excused himself to the back to make a phone call, I'm assuming to Valerie. He then came back up front and said "I was told to tell you that we didn't start the work on your car yet because our body guy has been a little sick lately." Excuse me? What have you been doing this entire time and why didn't I get a single phone call or email looping me in?! Awesome. There's nothing I could do though, right, so I left. I sent an email asking what was going on and when I could expect my car back. 'Twas a holiday weekend, so I let a couple days pass. I never received a response to my email. The next work day, I called their shop to talk to Valerie, or literally anyone in the office who may know what is going on who could give me some insight on when the work may start and when I could get my car back. No answer. I sent a follow-up email on the same thread as the first, asking for them to at least call me back or email me, as I just need to know what is going on, because I need my car for work. I don't have a rental, and them having my car is causing me a ton of issues. They don't give a damn, obviously. I have been calling every single business day, during their posted business hours, and they NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE. I have been following up every single day with an email after I leave voicemails asking for them to merely call me back with information on my own vehicle, yet they can't even manage to do that. I seriously don't even care if they didn't start the work at this point, I just want my darn keys back so that I can take it to a shop that's actually reliable and that's actually CAPABLE of doing the work, because this place clearly is not. I wish that I could give negative stars, as it sounds like most of the people reviewing this place do as well. I just wish that I had read the reviews before coming to this place, because then I never even would've considered it. Regrets indeed.... read more

I would not even give them one star if that was an option. I needed my engine replaced in my truck it took them three months $7200 upfront no communication from them what so ever. We had a horrible time with the communication they would not return our calls and we had to involve the finance company of the truck in order to get anything done. I would not recommend this place at all I would tell you to stay away from it. Then give excuses and say they will call you back and never do. And to get something as simple as a warranty for the engine that you paid for is Impossible. I am actually wondering if I got what I paid for is real. Here we are weeks later and I am still waiting for warranty paperwork. I will be filing with the Better Business Bureau. I will be filing a complaint against them with icar. I will also be contacting Napa as they are on Napa certified auto care center. We have left emails phone calls and all other types of communication including having family stop by to get what we need only to be blown off do not go there for any reason. Statefarm recommended this place. I showed up 4:30 pm to drop my car off, I was running late for work so I quickly signed the paperwork and got the rental. I only grabbed what I needed for work. When I got my car back my overhead sunglass compartment was open and empty. My Oakley Ballistic Crosshair sunglasses were gone. I was shown the paperwork I "quickly" signed when I dropped my car off. It said they were not responsible for stolen or lost items. I am only giving the second star because the owner, who seemed to be a good man offered to pay 50% of a new pair out of his own pocket. Very long story short, I hit a coyote driving to Fallon. This place is a mess. They told me my car would be done on a certain day. I wait all day on that day, about two weeks after the crash, and then call and they tell me it will be another two weeks. Call again on that day and they said it will be another 4 days, then offered a rental. Their communication is straight up awful. What if this was our only family vehicle and our circumstances were different. They didn't care about my family or my job. I got my car back and the next day after the third time being told it would be done and my passenger door is screeching and my right headlight went out on the side I hit the coyote. Not to mention I was driving from fernley to Fallon when I hit this coyote and filled my car up the night before and it was returned to me with zero gas. This isn't a good place. The people aren't good people. I wouldn't take any car there again and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. This place doesn't deserve a star. read more

My car was hit and and I had some front bumper damage. The insurance company of the person who hit me didn't keep me informed about much. Thanks to Gidget and Victoria's persistence, the agent would call to update me. Also not knowing if the insurance company had kept me informed, Gidget and Victoria would call me to make sure I knew what was going on. My car was fixed, they did an awesome job! Any shop can fix a car but your office staff and other workers make you come back. I actually saw Gidget at a restaurant, I wasn't going to bug her but, she stopped by my table and asked how my car was. How sweet! I would definitely recommend them! read more

My husband and I were headed out of town when the engine cover under the car came part way off. We were close to Fernley Auto Body so we stopped to see if they could help us as it could not be driven any distance as it was. They were very busy but took time to take it off for us so we could get it back home. They saved our weekend and didn't charge us to do it. Will definitely be using them in the future. Called and asked if they did auto paint and was told they did. Drove to the shop to get an estimate. I was told I had to have an appointment and would have to come back the following week. When I came back for the appointment I was told they were to busy and did not want to do the job. Why was I not told that on the phone 2 weeks prior on the phone. Extremely unprofessional and horrible customer service. We made an appointment in September 2020 for body work and we just got the car in the shop in March 2021. Every time we went to drop the car off, Valerie, I guess the owners wife, would tell us either she tried to get ahold of us to cancel or she would act oblivious, as if she had no idea we were every trying to get the car fixed. She has no business in customer service, very rude and will actually roll her eyes at you while your just trying to give them business. We are still waiting to get the car back, same situation of false done dates, showing up to pick up the car and it not being ready. We have lost income from this, taking days off to pick up a car, when they could of called or emailed. It is now May 2021, still no car. Word of advice for Fernley Auto Body... if you can't make your due dates, at least have somebody friendly to handle the customer service end and you would probably have better reviews. Valerie, your killing the business. All you have to do is communicate with your customers, not act like we are ruining your day for giving you business. I was going to have Fernley Auto Body do the work on my 64 Chevy Pickup, which would of been at least $8,000-$10,000 dollar job, but after this, NO WAY and NO THANK YOU! My husband is a disabled veteran and when he knocked the sliding door off it's hinge (with his power wheelchair) on our mini van he was house bound until we could get it fixed. Fernley autobody was able to get us in and the door fixed so quickly and so much les $$ then we expected. They were wonderful and I recommend them to all my neighbors here in Fernley. read more

I took my mother's vehicle here for an alignment & dropped it off at 8:30 in the morning thinking it would be a relativity quick service. Boy was I wrong. 6 hours later, my mother finally gets a call that her car was ready for pick-up. We arrive & are informed that the alignment couldn't be performed as the car had a damaged tie rod. Okay, so you mean to tell me that & inspection that likely took 5 to 10 minutes to do warranted holding the car for 6 hours? Okay, fine. But wait, that'll be $42.50 for the diagnostic. So they wasted a substantial part of our day, & then had the nerve to still charge us for the diagnostic. Oh & it gets better, then the desk lady tries to up-sell us on some tires. Forget it; I paid & left. So I guess small jobs aren't of great priority to these people & the customer is just a number. Unbelievable. read more

I started going to Fernley Auto Body a few years ago, they seemed OK so I gave them my business and told every one about them. Had to replace the fuel pump in my van, took 3 tries before it was ever right. Ran over a palette on the freeway and it took more than a week to get things more or less working, but they never fixed the electrical problem, and put me back on the road with a patch and the advice 'if it doesn't start just jiggle the wires'. Told me that the 'service engine soon' light was due to a catalytic converter, it was due to the heater valve being broken from getting hit by pieces of palette. The last time I was there I was 10 minutes early and was told by their receptionist that I would have to wait, and that she was on the phone. I sat down politely and waited 10 minutes before she would condescend to speak to me. I will never go back. So disappointed that I put my trust in a business that doesn't give a rats butt if I'm satisfied or if the job was done right. Don't waste your time read more

Came in to Fernley Auto Body to have a fiberglass repair looked at on a boat that got damaged from another vehicle. I did not have an appointment, but they were happy to help me anyway! The estimator was very quick and helpful, and had me in and out with an estimate in hand within a half hour. Unfortunately I did not schedule the work to be done, as I did not get enough from the insurance for it to make sense. My husband and I were on a trip to Idaho and broke down in Fernley, NV and were towed to a local diesel repair shop. The shop knew of Fernley Auto Body and made arrangements with them to obtain a rental car for us since there is no rental car agency in Fernley. The folks at Fernley Auto Body were so friendly and helpful taking pity on us poor travelers who were stranded until our truck was repaired. We did not even need any body work and they still were amazingly helpful and went way beyond any customer service expectations I had. I was in an accident, other drivers fault. I took my Fender Bender that knocked my front light out too, to Doug at F. A, Body for an estimate. My estimate was$1110.79 I wanted to keep my car local, I also got a estimate from Honda in Reno, but living in Fernley I wanted to support my community and I went with Fernley Auto Body, WHAT A MISTAKE!!! My $4,000 Honda 2002 Accord cost me $2400.00 to be fixed And the alignment was NEVER DONE! I had my car checked for an alignment by another local shop that I know and most of ALL that I TRUST, they just do not do body work. My front cambers are off as well as both back cambers, all that front end damage and NO ALIGNMENT!!! When I went to pick up my car I paid the 1110.79 and was given a supplement bill of 625.26 a balance still owed? I received a check from the insurance company for$1327. and change I was confused why so much ? I put the check in my account and waited to see where the extra money went. Two weeks or so later I get a THREATENING call from Fernely AB telling me on my voice message that they talked to the insurance co and I had a check for 1327. that I owed them and if I didn't pay by the next day I would be taken into collection? Say What? Don't you get sent a bill so you know you owe someone? Hard to send someone to collections if they never got a bill. Fernley auto body continued to submit supplement bills for work on my car for two weeks AFTER I picked up my car!!! The Owner is a Crook, he is Rude, lacks customer experience and most of all will do more work or atleast add more bills to you car long after you pick it up. I would not give this company the sweat off my brow, I would never ever ever recommend them to do work. I have talked to two others that had Terrible experiences with this company. Their good reviews must have come from friends or bribed to put in a good review for they are ANY THING BUT HONEST!!! Think twice before dealing with this crook. read more
