Small 4 people line max, service is fairly quick, but seating is limited even though they have indoor/outdoor. I lingered and hovered near a table to make it awkward to let them know "when your table is stacked with empty dishes for some time, it's time to get up and let someone else have the seat". Starring at them helps too! LOL. :: ORDER :: HONEY CINNAMON LATTE ($5.75) - I am team decaf! Their decaf beans ARE Swiss Water Processed. Bean profile: dark chocolate, cherry jam, almonds. The taste was smooth yet did have a little faint tartness at the end. Still a very good bean. It was nice to sip on a latte out of a ceramic cup and enjoy cafe dwelling. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BISCUIT WITH MINT BERRY JAM ($5) - they had selections of some breakfast items I didn't know they had. And a selection of jams to choose. Went for a simple biscuit because I was hoping to save room for lunch. The size of the biscuit was huge! They were fluffy and warm and it paired well with the mint berry jam (mint was barely noticeable). I noticed that it's the same biscuits they use for their breakfast sandwiches. While most appreciate size, I would have preferred a couple mini biscuits over one huge biscuit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Overall, great coffee beans and food and atmosphere. Really good food and good coffee. I ordered the s'mores latte with oat milk. It wasn't too sweet but tasted soo good! I also got the 9-5 breakfast sandwhich and it was made so fresh and was so flavorful. I didn't have to wait longhorn items. Service was friendly and quick. And the interior was clean. This coffee establishment is so cozy & cute inside! When you walk in, you'll be surprised at how spacious and earthy it is. It touches base on a theme of an "outdoorsy" and "camping" feel which I really like. The first time I came here, it had hints of an earthy incense throughout the coffee shop which really brought the theme together. There's a bunch of seating for people to use to study, so you'll find this place full of people at times. I work right down the street from here so I actually never knew they had a coffee shop here. I'm glad I made a pit stop here because this will be the place I'll come to all the time for my coffee stops before work! I got the Salted Maple Latte and my fiancé got The B-Side, which was recommended to us by Mikaila :) super sweet and fast service. Your coffee comes out in like 2-3 minutes, so they're really fast! The coffee omg... extraordinary. It's not too sweet or watered down by the ice, I loved both the drinks so much that I'm pretty much addicted. I had some time to spare in North County so we took a visit to Compa Coffee Roasters in RB. The cafe was very spacious and open with an outdoor patio on the side of the coffee shop. The space was sleek and had a modern feel to it. We came in an hour before closing and on a Sunday so we just got in our orders quickly as the workers seemed ready to take off. My choice of coffee was The B-Side, off their specialty menu. It had a nice froth on top and dusted with a bit of cinnamon powder. I like that the default is made with oat milk. The oat milk gives it a richer flavor in my opinion! I hada sip of their Super Tonic and it was just ok, only because I've tasted and seen many espresso tonics with orange blossom syrup before. Pretty solid spot for locals around the area! Seems to have sparked a lot interest with the community and use local ingredients and make most of their stuff in house. read more

They've done it again! Killed it with the latte art and a decadent decaf vanilla latte. Also, this time I needed a little snack so I ordered the G.O.A.T. Toast. Initially I was surprised by the lack of goat cheese sprinkled on, but once I started taking a few bites, it truly was more than enough cheese. I sometimes forget how strong goat cheese can be. It was scrumptious! As always, the baristas are outstanding and so friendly. My one complaint is that since they decorate so beautifully with plants (or it could be from people leaving the door open when the enter/exit or go to the patio seating), from time to time a little fly or two will bother you--the reallllly tiny ones like aphids or fungus gnats--so be prepared to swat if you plan on parking in a seat to work or study or chat with a friend for a bit. read more

It can get pretty busy where waiting in line can take about 30 minutes and it's a small-ish coffee shop so it gets a bit crowded when the line gets long. For a full year I was waiting for this coffee shop to open. I was so happy that something different than a chain will open in my neighborhood. However, after going several times I think I am done. I know I am very radical with the laptop campers, but as a customer I expect to have free tables for people like me who want to enjoy coffee and conversation with friends or dates. To the owner: I dont and will never understand a business model where you allow people to camp on a table with 2 seats and only using one because he or she is working and cannot be bothered. To the campers: Rancho Bernardo public library is fantastic. Many parks around to work too. Even your campus at your company is amazing (I use these for walking, exercising, etc, you can use them too). To normal customers: on the expensive side and you won't be able to sit inside at least, plus the music tend to be annoying. Starbucks nearby is more pleasant overall and you know you expect laptop people working there. read more

The coffee itself is so tasty - the pastries are fantastic with a lot of vegan options - their house made food is delicious (my usuals are the buttermilk biscuits with your choice of jam (strawberry or apple spice is my fav but they currently have pumpkin jam too right now) and the everything bagel)! Fridays and weekends they are open later - they also sell beer and wine. I am afraid of latte because haven't found anyone who can get the consistency of the taste of sweetness and coffee. Love this spot. I was blown away by the matcha lemonade! It was so delicious and tasted more like lemonade than matcha. It was a nice surprise. I'm a decaf drinker and they were able to accommodate me with the decaf Honey Cinnamon Latte. That was also very tasty and I love seeing this flavor combination at cafes.
