    Crazy Reuben (Whole)
    Tiffany H.

Small deli with lots of variety and great sandwiches! Small parking lot but lots of street parking. They have a variety of chips and drinks from all over the world in their shop. Outside there's a table with a paper you fill out with your sandwich choice, bread and all the toppings. Very customizable to your taste! A whole sandwich is huge and more than enough for 2 adults to share! The sandwich is filled with tons of meat and toppings. Totally worth the price! Picked up sandwiches to go. Got the crazy Reuben with lettuce, jalapeños, banana peppers on rye. Requested for mayo on the side but unfortunately didn't find out till later it was placed on the bread. Sandwich was still delicious and had great flavor though I did wipe off some of the mayo. My friend got the meatball sandwich on Dutch crunch. The bread was tasty and so were the sauce and meatballs. It was a very filling sandwich as we took it down to the beach to enjoy for a scenic lunch.

An easily camouflaged building amongst neighborhood houses, Compagno's is a must for an action-packed day - we had a full schedule of hikes from Point Lobos to Big Sur and Compagno's made for the perfect on-the-go packed lunch and dinner (we both got the whole size and ate half each meal... the size of these sandwiches is no joke). It's Veteran owned and that's made loud and proud by the names of the specials (named after each branch in the military) and the interior decor. There's clipboards on the table in front of the shop that you fill out and bring to the deli counter where they make your sandwich, call your name, and ring you up at the register. I had the Marine special (chicken breast, bacon, Cesar dressing, melted pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickle) on Dutch crunch and my significant other had the Space Force (a newer variation of the chicken sandwich with Chick-fil-a Polynesian sauce). They also had a ton of chips and drinks inside the market for you to pair with your sammies!

Company Market Deli was super tasty and the perfect hole-in-the-wall sandwich spot. If you're craving a small, local deli that knows how to make a great sandwich and customize it exactly to your liking, this is the place. You start by choosing from more than 20 sandwich options, and the portions are generous enough to share or tackle yourself if you're feeling extra hungry! They also have a great selection of beverages and plenty of chip options to round out your meal. Overall, it's a fantastic neighborhood spot with delicious sandwiches, friendly service, and that classic local deli feel that keeps you coming back.

I haven't been here in maybe to years. Service was good and my sandwich was also. The bread is a little on the thick side. The potato salad was good and I'll be back again.

Sandwich was huge! And so good

This place hits the spot. Grab a clipboard and pen and write down your order and put in on the counter in the back for the team to start making your sandwich. I got the #2, was so good. I got it with pesto mayo and it was amazing. The sandwiches are massive, a whole can easily be split by 2 people. Get a large sandwich, bag of chips and then go enjoy some yummy food on the beach. The cake looked amazing but I didn't get to try it. Next time!

A real East Coast Italian deli right in Monterey. Nothing fancy but made to order sandwiches that are literally stuffed with excellent meats, cheeses and all the fixings. Great selection of chips and every bottled soft drink imaginable. Don't let the line scare you off - it moves quickly.

Monterey is coming in hot with their food places! This delicious sandwich spot was located inside of a corner store and really gives a small town vibe. The sandwich was big enough for my husband and I to share. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. I'd highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a quick, easy and refreshing meal. They have a bench style seating area outside as well.

homey, local veteran-owned deli with large sandwiches. the half is enough for two meals (left) and the full is massive! start at the entrance with a clipboard, pen, and order sheet. hand it to the staff and walk around to grab some soda or chips. have heard the cakes are amazing and would love to come back to try those (:

Hands down best turkey sandwich on the peninsula! Fresh ingredients, simple, delicious, everything a sandwich should be. Pro time get a side of the marinated olives and dip your sandwich in the juices, chefs kiss!

Wow, this sandwich blew my mind, I absolutely loved it! At first ordering, the inside felt a little off and I was skeptical because the sandwiches are just wrapped in saran wrap, maybe I'm just spoiled with nice packaging these days but it was so good. I got the Army Special and was packed with so much flavor from the condiments and the Dutch Crunch bread was also fantastic. So much food too and I think I got the half. Owner Bennett was friendly and talked about the niners with me, seems like a diehard fan so we got something in common. Will never forget that conversation. Shook his hand and enjoyed his craft of sandwiches near the beach in Monterey. For the inside of the shop, its a market with everything you need, snacks, drinks and more. Highly recommend visiting, I will 100% be back.

Build-able sandwich. God the Godfather on Dutch Crunch bread. It was so fire. My boyfriend got the Philly cheesesteak which was even better. Recommend, fast service, put the order on the bar area and they make your sandwich.

This place was dope. Randomly found it on my Yelp searches when I was visiting the area, had crazy good reviews and I love me a good sando. It did not disappointment. I saw how big the portions are so I got a half order and man it still was humongous ! I ate half right then and there in my car and ate the other half the next day, it was still good! I would say it tastes better than it looks lol no shade. It was a very old family run feel, lowkey, very interesting snacks and drinks for purchase. Not pictured are the two kinds of chips I got. Seems to be a veteran establishment (thank you for your service!). The cakes they had on display looked absolutely incredible. Everyone in like practically bought a slice. And they didn't skimp on those portions either. I love that they had so many options for bread, which all looked fresh. If you're in the area and you want a good deli sando and or slice of bomb cake, come here.

My husband and son and I went to eat lunch at Compagnos last week while staying in Monterey. My husband has eaten here often and he recommended we have lunch there. When I walked in it took me back in time to when I was a little girl going into a market with my grandparents back in the 60's-70's. The owner, Bennett, was at the register. He was checking orders and confirming what we ordered. He knew many of his customers by name and knew their regular orders. The sandwiches were HUGE so I ordered 1/2 a sandwich and I only finished 1/3 of the 1/2 sandwich. My husband and son ordered full sandwiches and only finished half of theirs. We took the rest home. Great place. Great food. Friendly owner. Loved it. Highly recommend!!!

Do they have catering options for larger groups (~40)?

How can I reach someone from there? I have been calling the number and no voicemail and no one picks up. Help 😉

    Just keep calling

    Gluten free bread option?

yes! I went in Feb 2020 and there was a gluten free option, however, I would assume there are cross contamination possibilities.

Well after my comical round of golf that day,I returned to the shop and I truly stumbled upon a true hidden gem of a sandwich shop. I went with a buddy and we ended up getting two types of sandwiches and we split them. We ordered the Hot Pastrami ($15.00) and the aforementioned Tri-Tip Sandwich($16.00) We also got a large potato salad they offered-not sure on pricing on that. So let's talk about the sandwiches. I really enjoyed the Pastrami quite a bit-it was for sure one of the best Pastramis I've ever tasted, not too fatty and perfectly seasoned. The Tri-Tip though-that was exactly what I thought it would be-true showstopper. You ever have a food item that was so good that it almost kinda pisses you off because you now know this level exists and most likely won't find it again like this?....Well that's what this item was-perfection Tri-Tip on a really well-made sandwich. Their potato salad was really high level as well, total creaminess with perfect balance of seasonings-I could never make mine this well. Their high level of food explained why when I arrived at the little market there were 7-8 people in line in front of us. Parking for this location is all street parking as this place is truly just a little neighborhood market located in a residential neighborhood-If you blinked when driving by,one could miss it. But that doesn't stop them from delivering very high quality food and a permanent stop on my must-visit list whenever I go back to the Monterey area...You should do the same-it's great.

The Carmel food scene tends to be mid and overpriced so I was in search of more affordable, local gems in Seaside and Marina areas. And...TikTok brought me to The Meatery, a boutique butcher shop and eatery. BUTCHER SHOP Array of ethically sourced meats - amazing looking marbled steaks, pork, veal, and handcrafted sausages (Mmm, blood sausage and fermented garlic sausage!). They also have house-made sauces and spice blends, condiments, compound butters, duck fat, and more. There's even fresh dog food (e.g. beef sirloin, brown rice, and blueberries) which I bought for my dogs. EATERY Made-to-order sandwiches and BBQ (brisket, pulled pork, ribs, etc) in the hot case. The sesame roll was light and fluffy, and the slaw had a delicious creamy tang. Unfortunately, the thin, fried calamari steak was dry and chewy, while the heavily salted breadcrumbs overwhelmed its delicate flavor. * Dino Beef Rib ($21.50/lb): https://tinyurl.com/j8dsxnvc Eyeing this on another table, we decided to order it after trying the sandwiches. Def the highlight of our meal - the beef rib was rich, tender, and deeply savory. Not overly fatty with a crispy bark. Light on the seasoning and smoke so the tangy BBQ sauce came through for a boost of flavor. * Wedge Fries ($8) Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the wedges were dusted with their house seasoning mix (savory w/ a touch of smoky flavor) and served with a side of their fermented chipotle ketchup. * Kimchi Cucumber ($7.50) A blend of napa cabbage and thinly sliced cucumbers, the kimchi was mild and tangy. The perfect acidic in-between bites. S E R V I C E Warm, friendly service. Food came out fast. Overall, maybe we visited on an off day for the eatery.
