homey, local veteran-owned deli with large sandwiches. the half is enough for two meals (left) and the full is massive! start at the entrance with a clipboard, pen, and order sheet. hand it to the staff and walk around to grab some soda or chips. have heard the cakes are amazing and would love to come back to try those (:

Company Market Deli was super tasty and the perfect hole-in-the-wall sandwich spot. If you're craving a small, local deli that knows how to make a great sandwich and customize it exactly to your liking, this is the place. You start by choosing from more than 20 sandwich options, and the portions are generous enough to share or tackle yourself if you're feeling extra hungry! They also have a great selection of beverages and plenty of chip options to round out your meal. Overall, it's a fantastic neighborhood spot with delicious sandwiches, friendly service, and that classic local deli feel that keeps you coming back.

Sandwich was huge! And so good

This place hits the spot. Grab a clipboard and pen and write down your order and put in on the counter in the back for the team to start making your sandwich. I got the #2, was so good. I got it with pesto mayo and it was amazing. The sandwiches are massive, a whole can easily be split by 2 people. Get a large sandwich, bag of chips and then go enjoy some yummy food on the beach. The cake looked amazing but I didn't get to try it. Next time!

A real East Coast Italian deli right in Monterey. Nothing fancy but made to order sandwiches that are literally stuffed with excellent meats, cheeses and all the fixings. Great selection of chips and every bottled soft drink imaginable. Don't let the line scare you off - it moves quickly.

Monterey is coming in hot with their food places! This delicious sandwich spot was located inside of a corner store and really gives a small town vibe. The sandwich was big enough for my husband and I to share. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. I'd highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a quick, easy and refreshing meal. They have a bench style seating area outside as well.

My husband and son and I went to eat lunch at Compagnos last week while staying in Monterey. My husband has eaten here often and he recommended we have lunch there. When I walked in it took me back in time to when I was a little girl going into a market with my grandparents back in the 60's-70's. The owner, Bennett, was at the register. He was checking orders and confirming what we ordered. He knew many of his customers by name and knew their regular orders. The sandwiches were HUGE so I ordered 1/2 a sandwich and I only finished 1/3 of the 1/2 sandwich. My husband and son ordered full sandwiches and only finished half of theirs. We took the rest home. Great place. Great food. Friendly owner. Loved it. Highly recommend!!!

Wow, this sandwich blew my mind, I absolutely loved it! At first ordering, the inside felt a little off and I was skeptical because the sandwiches are just wrapped in saran wrap, maybe I'm just spoiled with nice packaging these days but it was so good. I got the Army Special and was packed with so much flavor from the condiments and the Dutch Crunch bread was also fantastic. So much food too and I think I got the half. Owner Bennett was friendly and talked about the niners with me, seems like a diehard fan so we got something in common. Will never forget that conversation. Shook his hand and enjoyed his craft of sandwiches near the beach in Monterey. For the inside of the shop, its a market with everything you need, snacks, drinks and more. Highly recommend visiting, I will 100% be back.

This place was dope. Randomly found it on my Yelp searches when I was visiting the area, had crazy good reviews and I love me a good sando. It did not disappointment. I saw how big the portions are so I got a half order and man it still was humongous ! I ate half right then and there in my car and ate the other half the next day, it was still good! I would say it tastes better than it looks lol no shade. It was a very old family run feel, lowkey, very interesting snacks and drinks for purchase. Not pictured are the two kinds of chips I got. Seems to be a veteran establishment (thank you for your service!). The cakes they had on display looked absolutely incredible. Everyone in like practically bought a slice. And they didn't skimp on those portions either. I love that they had so many options for bread, which all looked fresh. If you're in the area and you want a good deli sando and or slice of bomb cake, come here.

Build-able sandwich. God the Godfather on Dutch Crunch bread. It was so fire. My boyfriend got the Philly cheesesteak which was even better. Recommend, fast service, put the order on the bar area and they make your sandwich.

Chicken parm sandwich with bacon and avocado.

Went and got their most popular sandwich, a $15 for half ($17? for whole) chicken Parm with avocado, bacon, cheese. It was ridiculously good. And a 1/2 sandwich was a sizeable meal as it turned out. Some army dude in front of me mentioned to his guests that a whole was enough to split into two meals (assuming the addition of sides). The Army Presidio is down the street which guarantees a customer base and the owner(s) decided they could sell on quantity AND quality apparently. Delicious enough to make me think about it long after the sandwich is gone. 5 stars.

Love this family‑owned market and deli! Everything they make is fantastic, and the staff is always so welcoming to everyone who walks through the door. You enter into a small grocery area stocked with snacks and drinks from around the world. The walls are covered in military decor and patches from various military and law‑enforcement agencies. Before you walk in, you'll find order forms on a table outside with simple instructions. You can pick and choose what you want from the menu posted on the window. Once inside, hand your form to the team behind the counter. While they prepare your sandwich, take a moment to browse the market and check out some of the old‑school candies. We ordered a half chicken breast sandwich to split, a full one is huge! All their chicken is breaded, not grilled, and you can load it up with all the fixings: peppers, bacon, pickles, avocado, and more. They also offer an assortment of fresh salads and cakes. We always get the broccoli salad -- it's amazing, lightly dressed with grapes, red onion, and bacon. They also have a great selection of beers in the coolers to enjoy with your sandwich. There is limited parking and seating. Definitely purchased your food and go eat near the coast. If you're in Monterey or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by for some delicious food. You won't be disappointed!

This was turkey, ham, svocado and veggies sandwich! This is a full one!

OMG this place their sandwiches are freaking amazing I love their sandwiches they're huge I can only eat half of a full one but they are so good their food is fresh you can taste it how fresh everything is there vegetables there Meats whatever you decide to order on the sandwiches I will continue going out to moderate it's kind of like between Monterey and PG I believe but if anywhere you have got to try Campagnos! Fair warning here they are always busy that should tell you how good they are if you haven't already tried them!!!! They are located at 2000 Prescott Ave in Monterey CA

Turkey, ham, bacon & avocado sandwich - 8/9

We came for the sandwiches. And we stayed because we got stuck in the aisle. After 4 years of hearing people talk about this place like it was the hidden temple of carbs, my family and I finally made the pilgrimage. Expectations were sky-high. My stomach was empty. My spirit? Ready. Walked in and immediately realized: this place is cozy... like, "I-just-bumped-into-three-strangers-trying-to-grab-a-bag-of-chips" cozy. The aisles are so narrow even my skinny butt had to do a three-point turn just to look at the drinks. But the sandwiches? ABSURDLY HUGE. I got the Coast Guard Special on Dutch crunch... except the Dutch forgot to bring the crunch. First bite: flavorful. By the fourth bite: I was in a committed relationship with this sandwich and unsure how to break up. Something was missing--maybe glitter, maybe magic, maybe just... closure. My daughter's turkey/ham/bacon/avocado sandwich came out looking like it bench presses smaller sandwiches for fun. And that was just the half-size. Subway could never. My husband had the Crazy Reuben, which wasn't crazy at all. It was more like the Reuben that calls it a night by 8:30 and drinks chamomile tea. Tasty? Yes. Revolutionary? Not exactly. The final bill? 3 sandwiches, 2 chips, 1 energy drink = nearly $60. At that point, I started checking if the sandwich came with equity in the deli. BUT, the staff was friendly... even as we tried to do a 5-person ballet in a 2-foot aisle. Would I come back? Yeah, maybe, but next time I'm bringing a GPS, a sandwich buddy, and a plan for leftovers. Because unless you're training for a competitive eating contest, you're not finishing one of these solo.

So... Because of nice reviews, we chose to enjoy sandwiches here. This is the Reuben.

Do they have catering options for larger groups (~40)?

How can I reach someone from there? I have been calling the number and no voicemail and no one picks up. Help 😉

Gluten free bread option?

yes! I went in Feb 2020 and there was a gluten free option, however, I would assume there are cross contamination possibilities.

So one morning on a recent golfing trip to Monterey area,I was out for a morning walk to Starbucks…read morewhen I caught this wonderful smell in the air and wouldn't you know it,as soon as I turned a corner, there was this wonderful gentleman cooking up 25+ tri-tips and I asked him what they were for and he said it was the meat used for the days tritip sandwich sales.I told him I would be back after my round of golf that morning. Well after my comical round of golf that day,I returned to the shop and I truly stumbled upon a true hidden gem of a sandwich shop. I went with a buddy and we ended up getting two types of sandwiches and we split them. We ordered the Hot Pastrami ($15.00) and the aforementioned Tri-Tip Sandwich($16.00) We also got a large potato salad they offered-not sure on pricing on that. So let's talk about the sandwiches. I really enjoyed the Pastrami quite a bit-it was for sure one of the best Pastramis I've ever tasted, not too fatty and perfectly seasoned. The Tri-Tip though-that was exactly what I thought it would be-true showstopper. You ever have a food item that was so good that it almost kinda pisses you off because you now know this level exists and most likely won't find it again like this?....Well that's what this item was-perfection Tri-Tip on a really well-made sandwich. Their potato salad was really high level as well, total creaminess with perfect balance of seasonings-I could never make mine this well. Their high level of food explained why when I arrived at the little market there were 7-8 people in line in front of us. Parking for this location is all street parking as this place is truly just a little neighborhood market located in a residential neighborhood-If you blinked when driving by,one could miss it. But that doesn't stop them from delivering very high quality food and a permanent stop on my must-visit list whenever I go back to the Monterey area...You should do the same-it's great.

Very clean market ! If you're in the area La Sala's is a must!

I filled out the order form, and the kind gentleman working at the deli let me know they were out of the hot chicken. No big deal at all. I told him to make it however he thought it would taste best since I'm not a picky eater, and he absolutely delivered. The tri tip sandwich was so good! It was packed with flavor, the meat was tender and delicious, and the bread was just right. It ended up being such a great choice, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation. The sandwiches were made quickly, and the customer service was outstanding. He was so attentive, acknowledging everyone who came up to the deli counter while keeping orders moving efficiently. You could tell they genuinely care about their customers. When we checked out, the cashier up front was just as friendly, which made the whole experience even better. 3.5 STARS HELLO,…read moreMEAT SWEATS! Escaping the 4th of July warzone in The City, we headed to Carmel for a quiet staycation. The Carmel food scene tends to be mid and overpriced so I was in search of more affordable, local gems in Seaside and Marina areas. And...TikTok brought me to The Meatery, a boutique butcher shop and eatery. BUTCHER SHOP Array of ethically sourced meats - amazing looking marbled steaks, pork, veal, and handcrafted sausages (Mmm, blood sausage and fermented garlic sausage!). They also have house-made sauces and spice blends, condiments, compound butters, duck fat, and more. There's even fresh dog food (e.g. beef sirloin, brown rice, and blueberries) which I bought for my dogs. EATERY Made-to-order sandwiches and BBQ (brisket, pulled pork, ribs, etc) in the hot case. House-made sides (potato salad, mac salad, and kimchi) are available in the cold case. Bottled drinks including beer available. You can order ahead online but we ordered in-person. Note: Check Toast for the most up-to-date prices; the online menu has the old prices. There's about 6 tables for dine-in. Self-serve water. Bus your own tables when finished. F O O D * 18 Hour Smoked Brisket Sandwich ($18): https://tinyurl.com/rceamucw - Requested mix of wet/moist and lean brisket A signature item, the brisket sandwich was sorely disappointing. While I enjoyed the fresh, soft bun, tangy cola-cola bbq sauce, and acidic pickled onions, the lean brisket was very dry and tough (at opening time). * Calamari Steak Po'Boy Sandwich ($18): https://tinyurl.com/yn7zsvz6 The unique coastal twist on a New Orleans classic sounded promising on paper. The sesame roll was light and fluffy, and the slaw had a delicious creamy tang. Unfortunately, the thin, fried calamari steak was dry and chewy, while the heavily salted breadcrumbs overwhelmed its delicate flavor. * Dino Beef Rib ($21.50/lb): https://tinyurl.com/j8dsxnvc Eyeing this on another table, we decided to order it after trying the sandwiches. Def the highlight of our meal - the beef rib was rich, tender, and deeply savory. Not overly fatty with a crispy bark. Light on the seasoning and smoke so the tangy BBQ sauce came through for a boost of flavor. * Wedge Fries ($8) Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the wedges were dusted with their house seasoning mix (savory w/ a touch of smoky flavor) and served with a side of their fermented chipotle ketchup. * Kimchi Cucumber ($7.50) A blend of napa cabbage and thinly sliced cucumbers, the kimchi was mild and tangy. The perfect acidic in-between bites. S E R V I C E Warm, friendly service. Food came out fast. Overall, maybe we visited on an off day for the eatery. I can see why The Meatery is a local fav for their butcher shop tho. I mean, if I lived nearby, I would be all over 'em sausages! P.S - 3.5 stars rounded up for a small business.
