A must-visit when you're in Monterey or exploring Cannery Row. The breakfast is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm, charming, and inviting. The Huevos Rancheros is an absolute must!!Crispy corn tortillas layered with creamy beans, topped with sunny-side-up eggs with perfectly runny yolks, and finished with a rich, vibrant salsa ranchera. What's not to love? The Breakfast Quesadilla is another winna!!Chicken breast, scrambled eggs, fresh spinach, tomatoes, Jack and cheddar cheese, and fresh avocado inside a toasty flour tortilla. The portions are also very generous, making it a satisfying meal and a great value. Park at the designated parking lot above the restaurant and take the stairs down. Happy eating!! 48

We ate here before exploring Monterey. Very cute cafe! The interior was nice, but not so spacious. They were going to put us on two tables with 9 people, so we asked them if we could occupy another table, and they were okay with it. The food was generous and seasoned well. The employees were nice and the service was good. Outdoor seating has a nice view of the beach, and the indoor area is cozy and laidback. The only con is that there are a lot of flies, even if we were indoors. Overall, everything was good and we will come back again when we visit Monterey.

During a lovely stay in Monterey, we were pleased to find this place within walking distance of our hotel. It really has an amazing location & view, being on a walking trail with no buildings on the empty field between it and the ocean. The service is also good, plenty attentive & friendly. Their alcohol prices are acceptable, only barely on the side of too high. The food was tasty but wholly overpriced. Much like all the places we ate at on our trip, there is obviously an undisclosed surcharge for the privilege of eating in Monterey. I assume it works for them because many people, like us, are there on vacation and can justify overpaying for food since it's just for the trip. In spite of their high prices, I'll probably go back because their patio has immaculate vibes and I'm all about that whimsymaxxing.

Stopped by for both breakfast and lunch - both were good but I think breakfast is the better of the two meals here. I recommend stopping by early to avoid the lines. For breakfast, I had the Denver omelet which comes with toast and potatoes but I upgraded to a fruit bowl which made the meal lighter. The omelet was filling and had big chunks of ham. My husband had the corned beef hash which was homemade corned beef chunks and served with poached eggs. For lunch, I had the halibut fish and chips - the fish didn't dry out despite the thicker batter (wish it was a little less breaded) and the portion was huge; I honestly could have shared it with my husband. My husband had the blue moon burger which he thought was pretty good and a big potion as well.

We have been coming to Wave Street Cafe for many years now on our anniversary/engagement/honeymoon trips and it is always a pleasure. Our most recent visit was for our ten year anniversary. The food is always delicious, fresh, and hot. Beautiful view of the ocean, with indoor and outdoor seating available depending on the weather. The servers are always friendly and helpful especially when ordering new things. We usually get the fish and chips and fish tacos as they are just so good. They also have the best cokes in a glass bottle here too! It gets busy so be sure to swing by early and get your name down and take a stroll down to the beach or on cannery row while you wait. A great spot to dine on your trip!

Local favorite cafe- recommended by a family member for their Monkey Do pancakes. Cute cafe with ocean view, very quaint yet clean. The staff was very friendly . We had a large party and they informed us that we would be seated when all had arrived. We arrived just before opening , we heard it gets crowded. Parking was easy next to the restaurant. We were seated outside. Our orders were taken quickly and food came out hot and in a timely manner. The highlight was the Monkey Do pancakes, although the egg dishes were good. The corned beef was average as well as my breakfast burrito. The honey lavender latte was very good although a little sweet. Overall, I would recommend as the food was good, staff was friendly and efficient and the view was beautiful.

Chorizo Scramble with toast and blueberry jam. And Pepper Plant hot sauce! Ask for it.

Outstanding. A lovely view from the patio to the ocean at Cannery Row. Great outdoor seating with heaters. Thoughtful service and a wide breakfast menu with Chilaquiles, Huevos Rancheros, a breakfast burrito, and a Chorizo Scramble, which I went for. I loved it. A great spiced egg, black bean, and chorizo base topped with the exact right amount of sour cream, pico de gallo, and sour cream. The Wave Street Potatoes were great. And! And! A selection of hot sauces including my favorite hard-to-find Pepper Plant sauce. The blueberry jam on toast was also a good choice. The atmosphere alone is worth the trip, but the food is stellar.

I am glad I used Yelp to find this place that is not located directly on the main street. Most of the places I saw located on Cannery Row had low customer ratings. It is a small place and might be a bit hard to locate, but definitely worth the search and possible wait. We had a nice table outside. Service was good and food was great. Prices seemed about right.

The food here is amazing! The outdoor seating is so beautiful as well. The service was on point. I got the Brooklyn Benedict and it was creamy, salmon was fresh and the runny yoke tied everything together. Great local gem!

Great breakfast and music. Not too far of a walk from our hotel and we're seated quickly. Food took a while to come out. We ordered the chilaquiles and the breakfast burrito , one coffee drink. Total was $56 The chilaquiles were very good 5/5 !! I wish I would had ordered that instead. I got the breakfast burrito. I asked for no black beans or onions and chorizo added. It was okay 3/5. With the sour cream and salsa it had more flavor! Nice view of the beach and great music.

This popular brunch convenient located in the heart of Monterey bay, 10 Min's working distance to aquarium, as well as with great views overlooking the ocean. Its waiting system is perfectly managed, with phone number wrote down for you to check out the nearby stuff. And staff will call you within 5-10 to be seated. The dish - crab cake was pretty good, all that I wanted, fresh, not too much extra additives. Even some greens on the side of the plate. Artichoke hearts- not a big fan, as it's too much oil, and not that kind of deep fry that you see in a tempura. I can barely taste the artichoke except for the oily skin. Tuna melt - pretty decent. The vibe is nice, staff is friendly.

    Anthony N.

We waited for 45 minutes to get seated. We ordered crab cake Benedict and the monkey do cakes. We thought the crab cakes were well made as well as the potatoes. The monkey do was a bit of a disappointment because the sauce was too sweet and made the pancake soggy. Over all had an okay experience.

Came for brunch/lunch on a Saturday around 1:30 PM and were seated right away. The outdoor patio is cute and is especially nice with flowers and heaters and an ocean view. I'm not sure if they were shortstaffed or weren't frequently coming outside, but they did not come to refill my water or check on us often. The menu has both brunch and lunch items so lots of variety. as a vegetarian , I went with the roasted vegetable Panini, it looked delicious when it arrived, but there was bacon inside!!! I glanced back at the menu to make sure I didn't make a mistake, but there was no bacon listed in the description. We flagged down the wait staff and asked if there was supposed to be bacon he quickly took away my plate and remade it, although by then my husband had finished his meal. My new Panini was clearly cooked very quickly, so it was lacking in seasoning and almost too temperature hot to eat. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. There is street parking.

We met Raul at the counter. He is by far the most friendly, kind and informed restaurant staff (about gluten sensitivity, gluten allergy and what it is to have Celiac) we've ever met. He explained how he prepares the gluten free dough separate, bakes it separate and plates it separate. Based on Raul's genuine concern and knowledge, my hubby decided to try it. Our family had various different sandwiches. (I had the very delicious Vegetariano.) It was a beautiful sunny day so we sat outside to enjoy the sunshine and listen to the sea lions. Raul came out to check on us and we could not thank him enough for his amazing food and hospitality. When we arrived they had a small parking lot but busy because they do a lot of Door Dash and Uber Eats business. Once inside I took a quick look at the menu and saw they had breakfast burritos of either Chorizo-Sausage-Ham-Bacon or Veggie. I chose Chorizo breakfast burrito($10.39) The shop is run by the owner-he was the cashier and the cook. In talking to him,he was telling me that his family owns multiple Mexican small shops like this in the Juarez Mexico area and El Paso Texas area.Says that all the shops use the same recipe for their hot sauce that is served with the burritos. Once the burrito arrived,it was both heavy and warm.Once I cut it open,I was able to appreciate the craftsmanship of this burrito in all its chorizo, egg, potato and cheese glory-it was beautiful. As pretty as it was though,it tasted even better,I had planned on only eating half of it as I had a tee time in less than an hour but one bite led to another and then it was gone. I've had many breakfast burritos in my day and as unexpected as this is to say, this may have been the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Also the aforementioned family-recipe hot sauce that came with the burrito was so spicy yet so tasty--perfect combo to a perfect burrito. In closing,if you ever find yourself in the Monterey area and you want to treat yourself to some upper echelon breakfast burritos-do yourself a favor and stop at 3 Mundos sandwich shop-a top tier food experience awaits.

Real talk, the salad was better than the chowder, but that doesn't mean the chowder was bad, the salad just had more flavor. The chowder needed needed some salt and a touch of heat. I added hot sauce and that did help with the flavor. My wife felt the same way about the chowder, it was a little bland. The calamari was delicious, my kids absolutely loved it. The salad is basically a huge chef salad is loaded with flavor bombs like peppercinis, spicy chicken, greens, avocado, blue cheese, bacon, hard boiled eggs, and garlic bread. Kind of bummer their chowder was a little mid, but I'd come back just for that salad.
