This was an incredible experience! My dog had been in distress with an infection and in need of urgent care. After contacting my regular vet and 4 others without any openings, I called Companion Pet Clinic and they were the only ones offering walk in services. They were very caring... asking about my dogs symptoms and informative about getting to the clinic. Once there I was walked through the registration process. It was a bit of a wait but not bad. The receptionists were helpful but not overly as they were busy checking in others and assisting the vets and techs in the back. The vet tech was thorough in assessing my dog and the vet came in and did a thorough examination of my dog and answered all my questions. At all times the team was professional and caring. Another great surprise was the cost. Instead of paying $500-1000+ at an emergency clinic the examination and medications were under $100! It's very nice to have this kind of an option for those needing immediate help AND an affordable option in today's market. Rowan is already feeling better after just a few hours. DO NOT take your pet to Companion Pet Clinic in Gresham. Or any of the companion pet clinic locations. I brought my dog here for a routine neuter, and it turned into a life-threatening emergency. After the procedure, my dog developed internal bleeding and had to be rushed to DoveLewis for overnight emergency care. He nearly died. Unfrotunatley there are tons of stories like this from companion pet clinic. This was not a minor complication, it was a catastrophic outcome from what should have been a standard procedure. What made it worse was the lack of professionalism and urgency. The front desk staff at the time were dismissive and unhelpful during an extremely serious situation. On Nov. 8, 2019, a Washington County grand jury indicted Dr. Daniel God Koller on two counts of first-degree aggravated animal abuse and two counts of first-degree animal abuse in Beaverton. There are also publicly documented federal regulatory actions involving the veterinarian associated with this clinic. A proceeding by the Drug Enforcement Administration raised serious concerns about handling of controlled substances and compliance with federal law, and an application for registration was denied based on public interest findings. The problem with Companion Pet Gresham is their lack of hospitality and the complications it lends to have my pet seen. The business doen't allow use of the restroom to customers nor do they allow customers to wait in tht front waiting area. Insead they want people to wait with their pets in vehicles for over an hour. It isn't climatically safe to leave pets in a care. They require other businesses to take care of their customers and patients as they wait to be seen. Other location have to provide necessary services such as a safe place to wait and restroom access. They were dishonset about this being their policy as they said it has been their policy for 5, years, basically holding on to COVID exceptions as the new norm. I was in January and waited in the front waiting area without being told to go to my car. I was happy with the vet's attention to detail and care. Too bad Companion Pet dosen't carry that same level of care into their reception area. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with this clinic. The customer service is honestly unacceptable. The people at the front desk did not seem welcoming or helpful at all. As a first-time visitor, I expected at least some basic guidance about what to do, how the process works, or what to expect, but nobody explained anything or made me feel comfortable. Today I came to the clinic to get some procedures done for my pet. Their posted hours say they are open until 6 PM, and I arrived around 4 PM. The clinic was completely closed. There was no sign on the door, no explanation, no notice about why they were closed. I tried calling the phone number and nobody answered. This is extremely unprofessional. People trust veterinary clinics with their pets' health, and communication and reliability should be the bare minimum. If your hours change or there is a reason you are closed, clients should be informed. Very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place based on the lack of professionalism and poor communication. read more

Personally I have been going to this pet clinic for years and they've always taken exceptional care of my animals. They are very straightforward and honest and always do their best to save me money. This is the only Pet Clinic that I've been to and they don't charge me an arm and a leg to just see my pet. I had a rescue pet that unfortunately was exposed at the shelter and developed FIP a fatal disease. The doctor and staff did everything they could to prepare me and console me and although it would have been best to put him down they didn't push me. His condition worsened and I had to put him down 4 days later. Eventually I added a few more furry faces to my family. They are still very compassionate about the loss and take extra good care of my babies. This place is my hidden gem and I'm sorry to see so many negative comments but my personal experience has been great. read more

I was hesitant to come to this clinic based on the previous reviews I saw, but my sister had a good experience so I thought I would try and see for myself. Yes, in the past there were some bad vets, but they are gone now. They took incredible care of our cat and went above and beyond to work with us to save his life, without them and their expertise he would not have made it. Daniel Koller screamed and yelled at myself and my bestfriend, whom accompanied my dog and I to an appt. He tried to physically intimidate two females while terrifying my dog. I asked him to please lower his voice multiple times, as my dog was fearful, but he refused and continued with the hostility until I had to pick up my 85lb, injured dog to get he and ourselves away from the situation. The other male staff in the room stood by and watch all of it happen, as well as joined in on things the vet could yell at us for. I was not given my after visit paperwork and called the clinic after having left; the rest of the staff decided it a fun game to not only refuse to answer any of my medical questions about my dog that had major surgery three days prior, but to put me on hold and not come back or just hang up on me. These ppl are for the money, not for the animals. This establishment needs to be shut down, not only for malpractice and the safety of the animals that are brought here, but also so no one gets treated as poorly as MANY have by all staff. BOLI needs to and will be notified. PETA needs to and will be notified. The veterinary board WILL be notified. Picketers need to be outside this place to stop unknowing citizens from placing their pets and themselves potentially in harms way. We all need to speak up, TOGETHER to make this happen. DO NOT GO HERE! Horrible experiance here while having my Dog euthanized. One of the vet techs handled my weak old dog roughly to the point he was yelping loudly. When the actual veterinarian came back in the room with my Dog he was completely limp and sedated to the point he didnt even look alive. They didn't tell me they were going to do that. The vet then quickly euthanized him. This was a serious problem for me how they handled the whole situation especially when i told them i want to be with my Dog through the whole thing and I feel i didn't get to be with my Dog in his last moments because of what they did. When i confronted them calmly about the problem I had they were very rude and told me that I'm a problem for having a problem. The vet tech i had the problem with wouldn't even speak to me and the rest of the staff were rude except one nice girl at the front desk. Vet techs and workers here are incompetent rude and careless! After doing some research I found this clinic has horrible reviews and the owner/ veterinarian has a bad reputation for animal abuse!! Lots of similar experiences here I'm reading. Doctor was very nice and informative when I spoke with him Pretty quick in treatment Both pets are doing well. The one that got fixed healed well. Cons: No appointments for anything outside of getting your pets fixed. So expect a wait to get in. Still doing Covid protocols (not just them) so anxious pets go back alone. The front staff seems to be a bit over worked and were not the most inviting (I get it the place was nonstop go go). Just if you expect being babied this in not the place. On July 12th, 2021 my boxer collapsed 2 times at home and we rushed him to this clinic. I came requesting emergency help and the front desk lady refused him "We are not taking emergencies" I repeated myself that he was a patient of theirs and he was collapsing and throwing up. Again they refused. I then rushed to the VCA and they had the decency to call Dove Lewis for us that we were on our way. My beloved fur baby of 11 years died that day. No parent of a pet or human should ever go through or witnessed what I did that day. I will never refer this clinic to anyone! They do not care at least have the decency to call a animal hospital for the family and not be rude and just refuse to help a dying animal! He was a loving, living and breathing animal! I hope none of that staff ever goes through the pain of what they put me through and my family. This clinic needs to show more empathy towards parents and pets. Do what is needed for your patients! On March 21, 2023 my husband and self took our fur baby Simba to Companion Pet Clinic in Gresham Oregon. Drop off was at 8:15 and they said we could pick up at 2:30. We were there at 2:15. We were standing at the front desk listening to the girl explai the pain meds when I saw my Simba running like a crazy cat with a CONE around his neck straight out the front door. My hubby immediately ran to see where he went. I ran out as well. After about 30 min I noticed not one member of that clinic was out helping us search for Simba. I went inside and started screaming at the two girls in the front telling them to get out here and help us find Simba. This was their fault. Kevin comes out for 30min or more then goes back in. I went in there 3 times begging them to help us. After 3 hours of searching I went back to vet and asked them to please call my hubby since I had lost my phone while searching. They then ask me to go into a room where my hubby joined me. Kevin walks in saying he gave us a full refund, gave us a card with his personal number and said call him for anything and then stated their insurance company would be in contact with us. I asked what are we going to do. Kevin said they would put food traps out for Simba and there was a 1%chance in finding him. We went back at 7pm to find NO TRAPS out. Nothing. We searched for 3.5 hours. No Simba. Next morning I called Kevins phone and asked him if they had put out traps. He said yes they had. I said where because we were there and saw no traps He then stated Multonomah Animal shelter was putt traps out. I called the shelter. Shelter states they don't put traps out. One lie after another. No apologies. We hire a tracker. No Simba. The vet could've hired one but didn't. They have no concern for your pet. it's a assembly line. If you love your fur baby don't bring here. Just imagine if they lost your baby. They will not help you. They now refuse my phone calls. Yes some say mistakes happen. But you must make that mistake right. Simba is my support baby. He's not a cat he's our family member. This is the worst veterinary and I am suing them. My goal is to shut this horrible place down so they can't help anyone nor any pet again. When they brought him out and my wife asked to speak to the vet she was told he was in surgery. When asked if they could send his prescription to Chewy we were advised to do it ourselves. Staff is super unprofessional, you're not walked through the process at all, my pet was sedated and I wasn't given any type of information about this or what the process would all be like. The vet didn't even talk to me after discharging my pet and I was given no proper discharge instructions aside from the paperwork they print off when you go and pick up your pet. I don't even know where to begin. I saw so many bad reviews about this place, but I believed I'd been to this clinic before when it was across the street in the Walmart parking lot. I had good service there before, so I ignored the bad reviews. What a mistake. They informed me when I attempted to use this clinic today that they are not the same business as the one of the exact same name that was exactly across the street, and it is very apparent that it IS a different place. If I explain the experience I had today, you would only believe it if you had experienced this clinic yourself. It was that bad. The staff was uncaring and unsympathetic at the start and then downright unkind and rude by the end. I never did get my one shot I needed for my cat and would never take another animal to this clinic. I appreciate that a less expensive clinic would be different (more wait times, less flexibility) than a standard clinic, and I understand that people get tired when working and may not be at their best. My daughter in law brought sweet little Bentley in today for a tooth cleaning. Within a hour, they called her and simply told her Bentley was dead. No compassion whatsoever. Sooo. What happens when you tell the second rate vet that they killed a dog and did a piss poor job on the ones that survived. This is Companion Pet Clinic of Gresham. They did a TERRIBLE job at doing tail docking and dewclaw removal. Never use theese people. We told them a puppy died the night we had the work done and they said it was not them. The two surviors have leisions where the dewclaws were handled and tail stubs were infected too! Our main vet tried to talk to them after working on what they could to solve the mistake. They took the dogs into the back and did not even ask where we wanted the tails docked. they did not stich, cauterize, or wrap a goddamn thing! When we contacted them they got mad. Megan Larios said she might leave a bad review... This is what we got back! How terrible of a business can you be? We asked for a call back from the owner. Instead the Veterinarian who oversees the veteriarian who did the "work" calls me to yell at me and say "what did you think would happen?" Well, this will be shared and I will also report this to the vetrinary board! Lesson learned. Stay away from companion pet clinics. Especially since they are independently owned! They terminated our relationship by terse letter since they were told a bad review may cometh!!! This vet is close to where I live. The convenience factor is what drove me to come here. The staff peeps are relatively nice, but their service is terrible. The vets are very brief with vague explanations. They do unnecessary tests that are VERY expensive. This business is more concerned with making money than the health of your pet. Would give zero stars if possible. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY! I began going to this clinic when I rescued my first cat back in January of 2024. The idea that it was cheaper and "walk-in" friendly was really nice and I was optimistic. However, after arriving and learning that we could not wait inside the actual lobby and had to wait a hour outside in the middle of winter in 20 degree weather, that really set the tone for how this place operates. The staff was rude and inconsiderate, sitting casually behind the desk that day and even opening up late. Needless to say, I did not go back and intended on never going back after that terrible experience. However, today I went back. Two days ago, I rescued a 3 month old kitten who is sick with a cold. He has been super sniffly and his eyes have been runny. I was in a bind and wanted some place quick to consult. So, I thought I I would give them another chance. Yeah, admittedly that was stupid. They originally told me that my wait would be a while because they were busy. So, I waited with my kitten in my car. And waited. And waited. And waited. After three hours, I went inside and asked how much longer it would take. They said, "Oh, maybe another hour." I really only waited because I wanted to make sure that my kitten was okay. So we waited. And waited. And waited. Yeah, five hours later, I go inside with another disgruntled customer and wait at the counter to ask, "How much longer?" All the while, they are in the back laughing and making not family friendly jokes about what I can only assume was someone's dog (between their laughs, you could hear a very upset dog moving about). Finally, both of the front desk receptionists come out and the disgruntled customer and I ask politely, "How much longer?" They laugh and kind of shrug and go, "Maaaaaaaaybe 30 minutes. Hard to say." "Hard to say." Gee whiz, last time I checked the time on my phone, they checked the time on their computers, or they stopped to check the time on their phones, pretty certain you'll never find a numerical number that begins with, "Hard to say." You may think me rude, however A. I work in the customer service industry and B. When you have a 3 month old kitten who is sick and being so excellently and incredibly patient despite being uncomfortable, that flippancy and lack of care and blatant disregard for people and their well being as well as their pets' well being, as well as the five hours spent waiting to be seen, it is absolutely disgusting. So, please, do not dare even look at that building. Do not search up the address. Do not. Do not. DO NOT. Unless you want to wait hours upon hours just for you and your pet to be grossly disrespected. read more

We have been customers for years and used them in the past but the new front desk employees are the worst. I would never recommend this clinic to even my worst enemies.
