It's a $20 admittance fee, There is a distillery and a gift shop and museum...then of course the wardens table which is where you will get absolutely fabulous sandwiches salads nachos smoked pork, an array of options! You are allowed to walk through the prison a self guided tour or you can do a ghost tour if you choose to do that call for information! This place is haunted!!! We had so much fun I can't possibly post all the pictures so y'all will just have to take a little trip someday and go check it out! ACVs and motorcycles were all over the parking lot as I understand up the road just several miles is a wonderful place with trails and waterfalls!! TENNESSEE has so much to offer and this is a place that everyone should check out!! The host of the tasting was so friendly. The $5 sample is also a credit to the store. (Details are on your wristband that they'll give you.) They have great things to purchase, not just alcohol. At another bar in the store, you can select from any of their available selections for $3. There is no sharing allowed with any samples. They also have a separate bar in the back of the store. They are dog friendly. They gave our dog a pup cup with a treat in it.

The tasting was led by Devin, who was fantastic. She made the whole experience entertaining, informative, and fun. The flavors were definitely sugary, but it was still good despite that. For just $5, you get a decent tasting that's worth checking out. Devin's great energy helped make it memorable. Friendly vibes and good pours overall. But two of the samples are pickles and peaches. Those should just be samples, not part of the tasting. That said, the Ownby bourbon was good, I liked it a lot. I am generally against flavored whiskey but I enjoyed the espresso martini whiskey and root beer whiskey. I had sampled an ole Smokey moonshine years ago but didn't care for it. But sampling the razz n berry and the apple pie moonshines - I liked those. Walked out with too many bottles but I will definitely enjoy them over time.
