I met Earl of "We are Floors" back in 2004 as he was refered to me by a friend who had used his service to restore the floors in several of her properties. Given the fact that I am very particular about how I like things done, my friend knew that Earl would be a perfect fit for me. "WE ARE FLOORS" provides excellent and professional service and pays close attention to the customers requested details. My first experience was in 2004 when I wanted to remove all of the carpet in my upstairs split foyer style home to put down hardwood floors. My home was built in 1964 and has beautiful charater. Once Earl removed the carpet exposing the natural floors, he encouraged me to not put down the hardwood floors that I originally wanted and to let him work with what was already there and he was absolutely correct, my floors came out amazing. Earl could have did what I asked and taken my money, but with his knowledge and honesty of what would work the best for me, I was very comfortable about accepting his suggestion. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the outcome. When people enter my home, my floors are the very first thing that they notice and are extremely amazed how well kept they are. Earl has been out once since 2004 about 4 years ago to do a light buff and a new coat of polyurethane to refresh my floors but that was has been it. Yesterday, I decided to pull up the carpet of another room to do the same treatment as the rest of my floor and again, very pleased. I had a leak in my basement and needed flooring. I decided to replace my carpet with vinyl plank and to put hardwood on the stairs leading to the basement. I had five companies come out--three big companies and two small, local companies--provide me with estimates. Not only was Earl's price the most competitive, but he was very personable and work very closely with me as I selected a floor. His team did the work quickly, and I am so pleased with the outcome. It looks like a totally different space. He patiently answered all my questions along the way, and when I pointed out one area I noticed could use touching up a few days after the project was over, he graciously agreed to set up a time to come back out and touch it up. I saw online reviews for We Are Floors and decided to get a quote for flooring installation in 2 small bathrooms, a small landing, and an average-size kitchen. We Are Floors came out to give me a quote promptly. They quoted a reasonable price that included plumbing tasks, installing molding, and floor leveling work. Earl Turner said it would take about 2.5 days roughly from start to finish once he started. He came exactly on time and finished when he said he would. He and his crew stuck to the job until it was done. They were very professional and orderly. I loved the results. My LTV floors are absolutely beautiful. Earl installed a floor in my walk-in closet and two of my bathrooms. We had a problem with a lump in the floor, in the walk-in, we thought it was the installed floor, but he explained it was actually the subfloor. He returned, did something to floor and it was fixed. He said the floor was uneven anyway it is fine now, he did a great job and the floor is fine now. I would have him do the other rooms when we decide to get them replaced. read more
