Sure enough, two days after the wreck my neck was really really stiff. Seen Dr. Chen for a couple months canceled out all the pain I was feeling and he helped me with my driving posture as well as other exercises. He adjusted my spine, hips, and hooked me up to the latest electro machine that drastically improved my back muscles! Staff is friendly and efficient. Awesome experience! He was very kind, understanding and took his time to really get to know me and my concerns of the pain I've been experiencing in my neck and lower back. Because my cervical disc protrudes and appresses the nerves, causes my right arm to numb. I came to treat 12 times of treatment, during the treatment, the numbness of the arm gradually diminished and now it is no longer numb. no surprise this practice has 5 stars. I've been coming here for months on a weekly basis and just recently every other week. Dr. Chen and Dr. Jeffrey H. are great at what they do. They also fully comply to the CDC regulations, keeping the office and equipment clean after each patient. I always look forward to getting my adjustment. I was very impressed with the protocol they have set up. Very comprehensive and assessment at first visit at a reasonable cost. You get wealth of information at the second visit with the treatment plan as well as lifestyle intervention tip which they really stress on the latter part. Having mixed feelings about this place. I decided to give them a try since they have excellent yelp reviews but so far I'm failing to understand why. Now I'm no stranger to chiropractors since I've had back problems since 1999 with a year and a half of chronic pain. Problem 1: So I checked out their website before hand which clearly mentioned an "Internet Special" for new customers that said to mention it when making appointments When i called in for my first appointment, the person taking calls had no idea what the special was and was going to have that information available for me when I came in. Flash forward to my appointment I brought in a print out of this "Internet Special" and Dr. Chen said not a problem and he'd honor it. Well when I checked out the receptionist said it was $60 without any hesitation, when I questioned if they applied the "Internet Special" he said that $60 is always the price. Oh yeah and that first visit DIDN'T INCLUDE AN ADJUSTMENT which was disappointing because I was in a lot of pain and even stressed that to Dr. Chen! This seems like a whole bait-and-switch scheme where this supposed "Internet Special" is nothing but bogus. $60 for a meet and greet seems way overpriced. Problem 2: On my first visit Dr. Chen spent quite a while "accessing" me, I told him about my history of back problems and told him I was regularly seeing another chiropractor but his wife just had a baby so he's not working as much. I assumed all these notes went in my file. When I came back to "review" the findings from my assessment and xrays, someone else, an assistant I'm assuming, was going to review this with me. FIRST thing he says was asking if it was my first time receiving treatment from a chiropractor. Mind you, after paying $60 for the comprehensive exam and assessment where Dr. Chen asked me this very same question, it makes me wonder what else went unrecorded. I love this place. Excellent care, friendly professionals and even more convenient location for me now. I've been going there for 6 months getting regular adjustments and occasional massage. Dr, Chen and his team are passionate about what they do and it shows. The facilities are great (the previous one was also fine) and one thing that I appreciate is that besides the care I get, I'm always seen on time and they don't rush at all.
