Gave me the service fee up front and said they could have a tech present between 10-12 today. Joseph was at my house at exactly 11:00am and went right to work. With the help of a factory tech at Navien, Joseph was able to quickly diagnose and correct the problem associated with that code and didn't require an new parts to make that happen. As I am not a professional, I would have taken Joseph's direction if he had wanted to up-sell me, but he did NOT exploit that opportunity. His honesty, competence and desire to invest in repeat business overrode the pure profit motive and that will serve both he and his company very well. I would not hesitate to contact them again should I need any further service in the future. It's rare to find such honesty in the trades these days.

They take their time to diagnose what issues you may be having with your water heater and they're sooo patient in explaining it to you. They were detailed in their explanation, respectful of the work space, and thorough in the clean up afterwards. They also explain all of the options you can have in terms of repair and/or replacement, financing or not financing -- without any pressure to go either route. We've decided to go with a full replacement of our water heater, which we confidently feel that they will do a great job on. He was the most professional, knowledgeable, thorough repair person we've ever dealt with. He diagnosed the problem (regulator valve busted -- water pressure was dangerously high causing a few other related problems in the house). I thought for sure we were going to need a new water heater. He replaced our valve on the spot, then fixed the leak in the water heater. He answered all of our questions, gave us options, and even told us that if the water heater fails (it's getting older) within the next year, the cost of the fix can be applied to a new water heater. This saved us from agonizing over whether we needed to just dive into a replacement today, or if a fix would be worth the spend. We felt like we were in excellent hands -- no pressure, real human consideration, and thoughtful expertise. 10/10 would recommend. I never asked for free work--I asked to pay the actual disposal fee and a reasonable labor charge for the technician's time. Castleworks response is pure corporate spin. It never explains the outrageous price, never addresses that the technician ignored my request not to remove the hoses, and completely sidesteps the fact that I was simply asking for a fair resolution. Yes, CastleWorks refunded $100, but I even offered to remove every negative review if I was made whole by paying only the disposal fee and a reasonable labor charge. Instead, you chose to defend an indefensible quote. That tells customers everything they need to know. FYI- you can dispose of your water heater for $12 in San Diego or $135 for full service pickup from other companies. I have no idea how this company gets to $625 price!

He ran a camera through it while off. I'm no plumber but didn't understand why he couldn't just run the camera through while still mounted. There was nothing in it or the pipe. He charged me $320. Then didn't install the toilet properly so there was a slow leak behind it and it grew a mushroom behind the toilet in one week! Called the office to inform them and told them the $320 was ridiculous to fix nothing, the same guy came out to fix his mistake and acted like he did us a favor by doing that for free. Additionally on his first visit I asked for an estimate to replace a toilet in a different room his quote was $635.
