My son and I have been to this particular Best Buy throughout the years. I have nothing but good things to say about their great selection of items, starting from their appliances and ending with all types of devices. They also have special aisles for movies, DVDs and unfortunately discontinued CDs. It's ok, I'll live. I have plenty of CDs to last me for a lifetime.. Service is impecable by all the employees. The minute you walk in until the minute you walk out. This is a BIG store. 2 stories. Has an elevator, escalator and 2 bathrooms. On this visit we were looking for a phone charger for my son's I-phone 13. An employee helped him find exactly what he was looking for and the price was affordable. $27.40 (including tax). As he was shopping for his charger, I was on the 1st floor looking for different styles/labels of vacuums and microwaves. Sarvin and Kelly were very helpful showing me different models of both appliances. They were a tad expensive for our budget. The last vacuum that we got from here is almost 10 years old. We will definitely return to see if they have anything that costs a little less. They do have some sales items which is a plus. It's a very nice, clean store with plenty of parking all around. 10/10. Nick went above and beyond to help us choose the right phone, even though the store had technically already closed about six minutes earlier. He never rushed us and made sure we felt comfortable taking our time to find exactly what we needed. He was attentive, thorough, and checked in on every detail to make sure everything was perfect. I had gotten off work very late, and the fact that he still took the time to help and support me meant so much. I truly appreciate his patience and dedication. It's odd now going into Best Buy. I think atleast at the Sherman Oaks location they are now geared towards online pickup only. There was a line for online pickup but no queue to stand in for regular check out so we kind of just loitered until someone could take us. Checkout person was not receptive to me at all, (I asked how they were twice with no response) and then they turned around to flirt with the manager? when I asked for the cord I couldn't get myself and to take to check out. It was odd and even the person who I believe to be her higher up (the person she was trying to joke around/flirt with?) looked awkward, so weird experience for sure. Another employee in the store was very kind and helped me while I was exploring the Meta RayBans. I would never buy them but cool to look at. Had no idea they spoke to you! Selection was eh. I bought Bose bluetooth headphones online for a plane trip planned for 2 days later. Best buy sent me a message to pick them up the day before my trip. I went to the store to pick them up and the cashier could not find my order, either by looking up on their computer, using my credit card number or phone number. I did not have headphones for my trip. When I got back I had an email stating I should pick up my order. No rewarding this store by purchasing another. I bought them on Amazon...cheaper. I have been here a few times and never wrote a review before. I always had a pleasant experience here. I purchased my Wolf stove from here ten years ago, had a great experience. I bought a few things over the years as well. Today my son and I went to buy him a PS2 controller and found the one he wanted. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and welcomed to the store. The employee asked if we need help finding something and showed us where the controls are. Now that's great customer service. The prices are reasonable compared to other stores. When I arrived after carrying my tv and driving it over they told me they couldn't do anything in store. After I got a guarantee on the phone it could be done. I purchased an Open Box dishwasher in "Good" condition. All essential parts are supposed to be included as per the website. The power cord was missing. It is an essential item that is listed on the parts list on the manual. I have spent hours trying to get a resolution. I called the store number and can't get passed the call center. The call center repeatedly made me give the same information and story with no resolution. Their only suggestion is to go to the store in person, as you cannot call the location and get a live person. The store is located 45 minutes away and is not convenient for me to drive there to find the only resolution is to return the item. I paid my installer to pick the item up. I am wondering how they tested the item without the power cord. I asked the call center to give the email of corporate to try to get a resolution. I took additional time to write a detailed email, only to get a response to go on the website. This is beyond frustrating. Extremely poor customer service. read more

Loads of purchases have been here throughout the year here. This visit, we came to pick out a laptop. Monday morning which was nice as it was not busy at all. Plenty of parking which was nice. They have covered parking as well parking towards the back. It shares a parking lot with a supermarket in a strip mall. It's two stories. Main floor is all your small electronics and sorts. Downstairs, all your big major appliances, television and so on. Right when we walked in, everyone was quite friendly and helpful. Asked us if we needed help with anything. At the beginning, it was just to browse and see what they had to offer. Selection, they have a good amount of laptops. A nice array of brands for every budget. After half an hour or so, we picked something out. Staff was all really nice and helpful with any questions was asked. They can ring you up pretty much throughout the stores as well as the main register at the front. Overall, it was a good experience we encountered. I purchased HP cartridges from this Best Buy and printed for about four days before they stopped working. The error message that popped up was "counterfeit" cartridges. I took them back and the manager informed me there were no returns on ink cartridges and I would have to contact HP. I could not get a hold of anybody at HP so I started to charge back with my bank. I came here looking to buy new headphones for running. I picked out the ones I wanted without any help (fine) or without anyone offering to help (still fine, just a bit odd?). They did have a headphones stand for Shokz so I was able to try them on and see how they felt and pick which size / model I wanted for them. This was useful for me though I wish there was more information featured on the devices here as well as some sort of maybe tissues? to wipe them down before and after demoing. I had a pretty unpleasant experience while purchasing a universal remote at Best Buy. The employee who assisted me, Hoseph (wearing a pink shirt with a name tag that said "consultant"), came across as unprofessional. After ringing me up, he basically shoved the remote toward me and said, "here you go," with no courtesy or effort to be polite. A few weeks ago I put in an order at like 7:50pm -- bc it was late the website automatically registered my pick up for next day. But i know better. I came for a return of something expensive that I purchased open box. The first person who "helped" me had zero desire to be helpful. I needed to fully erase the device so I asked for the WiFi and she said I had to wait in line for geek squad for the password -- once I left her to wait in the geek squad line...she disappeared. And then I realized the WiFi didn't require a password. Finally another person came over. Both people questioned why I was returning - it wasn't working properly but they didn't believe me. Had to explain multiple times and be very firm. This person then had to call over a manager who I had to explain to again why I was returning. He also questioned me. Finally, they took it back. Came to the Sherman Oaks Best Buy to return a PC and monitor setup I purchased just a week earlier, and it turned into one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had. The checkout associate was clearly irritated from the start -- rolling her eyes like helping a customer was somehow beneath her. I even tried to help her lift the PC and monitor out of the box because she was struggling, but instead of appreciating it, she told me to "take the empty box to the customer side because she didn't want it." The attitude was unnecessary and disrespectful. To make things worse, when I tried returning the PC, I was told it supposedly had RAM removed, which is completely false. I opened the box once at home to check the contents, never powered it on, and didn't touch a single component. Later I discovered the PC's labels show conflicting serials and manufacture dates -- meaning Best Buy's inventory was likely mismatched. Rather than investigating or owning up to a system mistake, the staff acted like I'd done something wrong and refused the return. I'm a Total Tech member and followed every policy correctly, yet I was treated like a problem. I'll be cancelling my membership and taking my business elsewhere. Was denied returning my laptop due to " excessive returns". At first I was confused on hearing this and them telling me my account has been flagged as excessive returns when I never had this issue before returning 10 items. I spoke to the Best Buy return and service department and told me " Based on everything you shared, there should be no issues returning or exchanging the laptop. Using it for a few hours to test performance is fully reasonable, and the concerns you outlined, especially related to heat, noise, performance, and overall value, are valid reasons for a return. As we discussed earlier, there is no restocking fee for laptops and having all accessories and packaging in place helps ensure a smooth return process. You're making a well-informed choice, and we'll make sure this is handled properly so you can move forward without issues ". They let me know this store only flagged me internally in their store which is odd. I had another person say I needed to pay 15% restock fee but the return specialist said no. The specialist let me know I'm more than welcome to go to any store to return my laptop which I won't do business here anymore and have reported this incident. read more

You can enter this B.B. from Van Nuys Blvd or Milbank Street where it resides on the corner of across from Citibank and the old Pacific Theater. The corner street entrance/exit is always closed so you can physically enter the store from the parking lot. You'll be greeted by friendly Best Buy crew and get your footing for the layout of the store... Most essentials on the first floor including computers/laptops, lighting, software, security, cell phones, cameras, batteries, the geek squad and so forth. The 2nd level is down below and you can either take the escalator or the elevator down as well as back up when you're done. The 2nd level consists of sound equipment, stereos, speakers, appliances and entertainment... Including video games, movies, and more. I typically come in for small purchases and items, but Best Buy does have some solid sales as well as solid service. The checkout is pretty smooth, but not the most efficient layout. Especially for making purchases as each item has to be handed to your Best Buy crew person ringing you up... Unless a larger item in which case it can be scanned. Typically everything is always smooth when I stop in but they did have the descending escalator down and were out of some of the model displays for certain Apple related Desktop and Laptops I'd been looking at getting for updated personal use. INSTALLATION DISASTER!!!!! I purchased a zline-36-inche-externally-vented-convertible-wall-range-hood from Best Buy and had it installed by Best Buy on Dec 9, 2023. Last Friday, May 9, I returned home from work to find that the hood had broken loose from the wall and crashed to the floor. If I had been standing at the stove when this occurred, I would have been killed. When I called Best Buy to describe what had happened and inquire if they would come out to remount the hood I was told that they only guarantee their workmanship for 90 days and that it would cost $199 to have them remount it. I thanked them and did a hard pass. I hired a trusted workman to do the job. He charged me $50 and pointed out that the Best Buy installer had not used any dry wall anchors! They had simply used screws to mount the hood by drilling them into the drywall. He said it was a miracle that the hood didn't simply fall off the wall sooner. Beware of Best Buy's service department and NEVER hire them to install anything. Especially if it's mounted on drywall! read more

I bought a monitor splitter here less than sixty days ago and when I asked the rep if it would work with my particular computer he said it for sure would. I'm skeptical so I ask about the return policy. He asked "are you a member?" And I tell him I am because every time I come in I use my phone number and it prints out a receipt with my member ID on it. He assures me I have sixty days to return and not to worry about it. I get the item home and of course it doesn't work, so then I order one that I researched does work with my computer and moved on. I have been a loyal (Best Buy Total) member for many years. I have purchased lots of big ticket items online from appliances to electronics. My latest was large TV. Being in need of a wall mount I decided to head into the Sherman Oaks store to make my purchase today to mount my television this afternoon. Instead I got insulted, pressured and into a ridiculous verbal argument with some guy remotely qualified to deal with customers or be on a sales floor. It was a nasty salesperson in the TV dept whose name was Frank. Frank was aggressive and condescending. I did research on the mount I wanted before heading down to the store to save time and be in and out. But instead of selling me the item, we ended up in a heated argument as he was trying to upsell me and feed me lies about the product I was intending to buy. He was ill-mannered, ill-tempered and has made me want to stick to shopping online from now on. Frank is the reason the Best Buy brick and mortars are closing down and customers are migrating online. So I went down the street to a different retailer and made the same purchase - hassle free! AVOID THIS STORE! Terrible customer service. Save the hassle by ordering online. Or better yet - simply shop at another retailer that offers the same products at equal or lower prices like Costco, Target or Amazon! I had an in home appt for my computer last April has my computer seemed to seize up when there was an automatic operating system upgrade. My printer also seems not to be aligned properly and they were not communicating. Due to long Covid I need a home visit and I paid for one in April and I had a person named Sergio come to the house and he was great however I haven't been able to use the printer and computer being Ill and when I tried now it's not working. Best Buy said that I shouldn't have to pay for another visit in case it's the same thing that's wrong. One person said I needed to pay $124 another person said I needed to pay 270 for a house call and I spent over an hour on the phone yesterday. Then the fellow said that he has something wrong with his phone and he would call me today which he didn't. I've been on the phone again with multiple people and still no one that can help me. Worst customer service EVER!! I ordered a pre-owned iPhone 14 256gb, Excellent condition for a birthday present. Best Buy created a shipping label and never shipped the phone yet still made the charge on my card, which basically means FRAUD!! They are super shady and the customer service is outsourced and no one seems to be able to rectify the situation. I've been told by so-called customer service that they cannot cancel the order which was placed on 8/28/25 and the shipping label was created on 8/29/25 (the very next day). I was falsely led to believe that I would be able to pick up the phone 5 days after purchasing it online. Today is 10/2/25 and the only action that has ever been made is charging my credit card $548.74 and then creating a shipping label. I checked my account and it continues to show a pending charge on my credit card which leaves my card with a lower available balance for purchases. Best Buy claims that they cannot cancel the order and they don't have any further information. I was advised that I would need to take them to small claims court. I would like to give Zero stars. All of this equals poor management. The thought that a company that's been around for so long is willing to steal products and fraudulently charge their customers credit cards, sickens me. Worst store ever... I brought back my monitor which had light bleed. With the warranty I had, I brought it back to geek squad which took them 2 and half months to repair my monitor. Returned it to me with a cracked stand.. I advise them that this wasn't checked well.. I spoke to the manager Issac who is a F'n D*** told me that it was my fault long story short... I filed a complaint with corporate and they also cancelled my warranty because Issac said I broke it.. when I couldn't check all the parts as they gave it to me from geek squad.
