My family and I happened to be in the area and were having an issue with one of my daughter's phones, so we decided to visit this Apple Store. Upon entering, we were welcomed by two very friendly store employees who immediately offered to assist us. We explained the situation, and one employee took down my name and number and directed us to a workstation. Within three to four minutes of waiting, a super friendly female store employee approached us. We explained the issue with the phone, and she immediately started working on my daughter's phone. Ten minutes later, the phone issue was resolved. We thanked several store employees for the great service and timely work, and then we left. The employees at this store are very friendly, thorough, and professional. The way they all interact with customers is to be commended, and I personally appreciate the great service. Similar to other reviewers, I also have had multiple interactions with Apple associates where they give attitudes, smart responses, and overall poor customer experience. If you book an appointment, you'd expect to be called within 15 minutes. Instead you are sitting there helpless and wasting your valuable time. I spent a total of 1.5 hours for a Genius Bar appointment to setup a replacement only. I came prepared with my Apple account user account information, backup, etc. There is no reason to have this take 1.5 hours. I have an appointment for 6pm but I still have to wait because this place is crazy busy. While I was here they had a workshop on how to produce music using Garage Band. Who knew? They have all sorts of workshops on a variety of subjects. It just depends on the day. Although it would be very distracting to take a class there because there is so much chaos. All I needed was a new battery. It took hours. I never knew how attached I was to my phone until I had to leave it with them for two hours. It seemed like an eternity. When I got back the phone still was not ready. They told me to come back in 30 minutes. So I walked back to my car and put my shopping bag of new goodies in there and moved it closer to the store. I for back and the phone still was not done. I was told another 10 minutes. I waited and perused the store, looking at all the new devices. Knowing what's coming now, makes me feel highly inept and lacking the skill set for devices of the future. The mall is closing all the other stores had already pulled down their gates and I was still waiting for my phone. It finally came out shortly after 9 PM. By that time I've been waiting up and on for about an hour and 20 minutes. My suggestion is if you make an appointment make it for early in the morning or first thing so that they're not already backed up. My phone works beautifully now because the battery is fully charged and will last all day without having to recharge it. If you have an appointment to do any kind of repairs, be prepared to wait. If they say an hour plan on too. I remember it's two hours without your phone. So take a book or something to read because you're gonna need it. read more

I had a Genius Bar appointment at the Apple Store in Sherman Oaks. I made the reservation to avoid a long wait and get help at the scheduled time. It has now been almost an hour past my appointment, and I still have not been helped or given an update. If appointments are delayed, customers should be informed and given an estimated wait time. The staff has been polite, but the appointment system did not work as expected. Waiting this long after a confirmed reservation is frustrating. No wonder this location only has three stars -- the customer service is terrible. I ran in at 7:59 PM, completely out of breath, just trying to quickly run in and buy a phone charger. The security guard even nodded for me to go ahead, so I hurried inside. Already inside the store, an employee, Lorena, abruptly stopped me and said, "We're closed, ma'am." I checked the time -- it JUST turned 8 -- and politely asked if I could please just grab a charger as there were still customers inside and the registers were open. Again , I was already INSIDE the store. Having worked in retail myself, I understand the frustration of last-minute customers, but it was still one min before closing time when I had walked in. Instead of being understanding, Lorena repeated several times -- rudely -- "We're closed, ma'am," then walked away. When I asked for her name, she ignored me at first, and only after I asked again did she respond with "Lorena" and sarcastically ask if there was something she could help me with as she knew other customers were around. Uhhh well Yes, actually -- a charger would have been great. It took her longer to tell me "we're closed" three times over than it would've taken to complete the sale. This experience was so disappointing, especially since there aren't many Apple Stores nearby. To be treated like that -- with zero empathy or professionalism -- is not what I would expect from an Apple employee. I ordered my new Macbook Pro for pickup at this location since it's closest to home. Placed the order online in the morning and received an email stating it was ready for pickup a few minutes after the store opened. I arrived about 30 minutes earlier than my scheduled pick up time, but figured I'd ask if I could pick up my new MacBook anyways. I was greeted by Kelly who checked me in and informed me that being there early wasn't a problem. Kelly walked me over to a table where I could sit and informed me that my MacBook would be out in just a moment. Less than five minutes and another Apple employee emerged from the back room with my new MacBook Pro in an Apple bag. I spent less than ten minutes in the store and Kelly waited with me while my order was being pulled from the back of the store. Painless experience albeit I am very rarely inside an Apple store despite the fact that I use quite a number of Apple products. Store was very clean, staff were very attentive, and I was able to pick up my order well earlier than scheduled. I made an appointment to make a repair for my computer and over the course of that, I had to come in 3 times.... Each time incredibly unpleasant. You have to stand around awkwardly looking like an idiot waiting for someone to approach you. They absolutely need to have a designated check in zone rather than make it a weird free for all with workers scattered throughout the store. One time I waited 12 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me and then I stood there awkwardly for another 5-10 minutes waiting for someone to actually take my computer from me. These stores are chaotic, unwelcoming and really need some organizing. Employees should make effort to acknowledge everyone as they come in- even when they are helping someone else in the moment. I had a good experience when I had to replace my iPhone charging block when it suddenly stopped working. I didn't have an appointment so I waited about 10 min. to speak to a Specialist. Worst Apple Store experience I've ever had. I made an appointment, arrived early, and still waited about 45 minutes without getting real help. Employees kept moving me from one place to another saying "a few more minutes," but nobody actually helped me. What made the experience feel even worse was how ignored and uncomfortable I felt as a Spanish speaker. Every time I tried asking for help in Spanish or asked if someone spoke Spanish, I was basically brushed off and passed around again. It honestly felt humiliating and disrespectful. I understand being busy, but no customer should feel dismissed or looked down on because of language. If you mainly speak Spanish, be prepared to feel frustrated and completely unsupported at this location. My iPad was running out of memory and I went in to see what my options were. As I walk around the mall a few times a week I know that this store can be super crowded so I went mid-afternoon the first time. I had to wait a couple minutes but not long and was sent to the back where Chian helped me. She answered all my questions, was very patient and nice and gave my some options as to ways to upgrade my iCloud or possibly buy a new iPad and told me how it was to be done. I told her I would think about it and came back the next day. I had to wait about 5 minutes and the person asked me what was needed and took me over to a table where the one employee was helping one other customer. When Graham came over he was very, very helpful, has a great sense of humor and lots of knowledge and was able to answer questions and help me choose how to upgrade, which meant turning my old iPad in for $149 credit toward the purchase of a new one. He then took me across the store where, thank goodness, there was only one other customer at the table. Adrienne was an incredible help so that I could transfer all the data from the old iPad to the new one and making sure the old one had no more data on it. It took about 45 minutes with her but that was no problem as I expected the whole procedure to take at least an hour from the time I walked in to leaving and it was a bit over that. Like Graham, Adrienne had a great personality, was fun to share things work and was equally as helpful in making the transition from one tablet to the new one. I've read where some employees are rude or not helpful but all three of the people who helped me, especially Graham and Adrienne, where 5star in both helpful and their personalities! read more

When I purchased my phone from this Apple Store the salesman recommended Apple care and when I asked what does it cover he said every type of damage. He told me I can fix it unlimited times with Apple care. He never mentioned anything about a deductible if I do need to get a repair which was $100. I stopped by this Apple store today inside Westfield Sherman Oaks mall while my wife was shopping. When I walked inside, a worker greeted me and asked if I needed any help. I told him that I was just browsing while my wife was trying on stuff. I looked at their MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, iPad, Airpods, Apple TV, watch and there different iPhones on display. They even had their VR headset and you can make an appointment to do a demo. I went over to their little Arcade area and check that out as well. The staff here are very friendly and ready to assist if needed. They also have 2 security guard in the front of the store. read more

Hallelujah Brad saved me today! I walked in with a sad Mac problem. I told him my fairly newer model of my iPad had crashed and wasn't charging or turning on. He said l, "Mind if I try something to it to check it out?" I replied, "Of course, you can try whatever you want." He pushed the "up volume, down volume, then pushed the power button for an extended time." It booted up instantly! He said if it happens again then bring it in since the waiting line to get it more thoroughly diagnosed for more underlining issues is over an hour. I'm going to stop doing business with them. they couldn't transfer the data from my old computer to my new MacBook Pro, they screwed it up, and had no answers for me, then with my new iPhone 17 pro max, they kept my phone overnight, after I told them it was my only phone, and after 24 hours, not only couldn't they complete the transfer, but had no idea why it was unsuccessful. they were nasty, ruder, and did not follow directions. my friend loaned me her phone- sge went home, and I was without phone. they were told not to call her -rhey called her 4 times-never emailed me. Valentina went above and beyond to help me get in and out of the store battling my non functioning phone so I could get to work. She made a bad situation a little less bad anticipating road blocks and finding ways around them. I also get the feeling people don't show up for work or they're understaffed. This will be the last time I go to this location for a repair. Had truly one of the best experiences here with a sales team member named, Amy. I didn't catch her last name but it was around 5pm and she was helping me with an iPhone upgrade. She was really knowledgeable about all apple products and was really able to guide me get some more items with my upgrade. I ended up getting chargers and air tags and a phone screen and case. I ran in to get a new iPhone 17. No one had to sell me anything, I was in a hurry. The guy who helped me was fabulous but he has been there quite awhile. Once I was moved over to the area where you wait for the data transfer to take place what was supposed to be 40 minutes turned into more than an hour and the one person helping people left for a break and the next guy was tied up with a customer forever. It was like pulling teeth trying to get assistance. Finally the person helped. He was knowledgeable but meanwhile I'm back at work and all my Contacts are fucked up, my IT department can't help because they don't have authorization on personal devices and tell me to go back to Apple. Pretty uncomfortable experience. Came in to buy a phone but the people on the floor don't know anything about their own store or product. Was trying to get a payment plan with my Apple Card on a prepaid line. They CAN indeed do it but they have to call a number and get activated. Because it take a little longer they don't wanna help. Instead I was told that if I can't pay in full or finance another way that I can't be sold a phone. APPLE can and will always find a way to sell a phone, so I left because the workers were being rude and doing that thing where they just repeat some line on their tablet. I left and called corporate just to double check because I was gonna walk away with a phone from that store.
