After a shoulder injury, and encouragement from a physiatrist, I signed up for a package with Prehab Physical Therapy. It also helps that one of my friends, who happens to be a physical therapist, also referred me to this clinic. He shared great things about this place, so the bar was already set high. My therapist Dorian was engaging, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. In addition to assigning practical, doable and strength-building workouts each week, he explains why they're important and how they fall under the program. I thought I knew how to work out, as I've been lifting for almost a decade now, and it was all undone after just a few short but impactful months with Dorian. I quickly learned I had to relearn most of what I knew, and I appreciated it. Before I wrap up this review, I do want to highlight the office manager, Marisa, who was such a delight at every interaction. She made scheduling a breeze and was always so awesome to deal with. I always walked away with a smile after interacting with Marisa, who genuinely knows how to put patients at ease. Note: Unfortunately, Prehab Physical Therapy was out of network with my medical insurance. However, Marisa provided a superbill after each visit, which made insurance claim submissions easy! I come a long way to my appointments here, but it's so worth it! Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. I work specifically with Dorian and he's incredibly knowledgeable and has made a huge difference in my mobility after just a couple sessions. I've seen many physical therapists since my surgery and other sports injuries, and I love the interface they have for at home PT. The videos are super helpful and it's nice that they put your routine on a link for you. Pricing is on par with other high quality PT places I've been to, but you really get what you pay for. I had high expectations based on recommendations from friends, but my experience at Prehab Guys was disappointing. While the intake staff was friendly, I found the process to be misleading. I specifically requested certain PTs but was repeatedly steered toward one in particular--who happened to be a newer employee. It felt more like a business tactic than a patient-centered approach. This clinic seems to operate based on who you know rather than what's best for the patient. If you're not familiar with the inner workings, you may end up with whatever option they decide is best for them, not necessarily for you. I can't recommend Prehab Physical Therapy enough, especially after having been to several other PT places for my ankle sprain. They are not like other PT places that just get patients in/out and keep churning out the same weekly exercises. This is a personalized experience; tailored for you. Craig is amazing - he is detailed and thorough, and continuously adapts the rehab program to keep it challenging and appropriate. He is helpful in asking the right questions, takes measurements to evaluate progress, strength and mobility. The patient portal has the at home exercises that includes super helpful videos so you can see the exercise and understand the purpose, as well as the instructions for sets and reps. This is a working document/program that he continuously adjusts for increased difficulty based on progress of recovery. He has helped me tremendously, beyond rehabbing my injury but also helping me work on overall strength, conditioning and athleticism. Since they do not accept insurance, you will need to pay out of pocket by purchasing one of their session packs (5 or 10 pack), and then you can submit for reimbursement of PT benefits you have through your insurance company. The reimbursement process for me was a breeze since the Prehab superbill invoices have all the diagnostic codes listed out, which helped it go smoothly. I've been seeing Adele for years! I have gone from hopeless to pain free thanks to ADELE! I was experiencing some pain between my shoulder blades in May 2019 and went to get an MRI I had 3 bulging discs with spinal stenosis due to repeated bAd posture. I'm 36 and my job consists of computer work mostly. When I first came in I was in the worst mood ever so much in pain and feeling so frustrated with it feeling so low and fearful that I would never be ok or normal again. Adele was patient and reliable and my rock through the whole process. She took the most vulnerable part of my body and massaged it with her hands to heal me! Over time I've seen other PTs ask for her to massage them so she must be the best. I've had full on nervous breakdowns because it was just all too much to keep going and she was there for me. Some days I just needed to smile and she helped me get through another day. Adele formulated a plan for me to get stronger and to stretch, always conscious of my pain levels and injury symptoms. She gave me physical feedback by putting my body right into the correct place including my head and didn't lose focus ever. She's 100% there in your space and giving you her all. Now I can say I'm back to my old self with flare ups here and there. I'm almost done with PT and she's exposed me to Pilates which is fun and difficult. I must admit I was skeptical of PT. I thought it was for people who were out of shape/de conditioned. But my company had a payment allowance and it was prescribed for my hip so I thought I'd give it a try. Honestly it worked so well that I didn't even need to do all 10 sessions. The sessions were really tailored to my specific problem, and the exercises easy to do/fit into a busy schedule. And they worked! I've been coming to Prehab for the past couple months and I could not be happier with the care I've been receiving from Dorian St. Danic. I started running in May and started experiencing nagging knee irritation from an old knee injury. After developing an injury in the gym, I spent so long frustrated with confusion as to why I wasn't feeling better over time. After finding Prehab Physical Therapy, I was lucky enough to work with Dr. Dorian Saint-Danic who not only helped me identify my rotator cuff injury but set me on a path towards recovery. I had never done physical therapy before, and was a bit nervous as to the process. Dr. Dorian and the entire team at Prehab were extremely friendly and quickly made a comfortable environment for me. I would definitely recommend Prehab PT! I came across them via instagram and started to follow them. The content on their page and the PTs in the videos seem very knowledgeable and provide useful and detailed information. Thus I decided to make my initial evaluation to get help with my mid back/shoulder pain. Everything from making the appointment to getting directions to their facility was very easy. On my first appointment, I saw Dr. Dorian. He helped me understand what was causing my pain and throughout the entire time, he explained everything in detail. At the end, he gave me some exercises to help me alleviate my pain. So far, the exercises have been helping and it's helpful having a visual such as videos and detailed instructions to follow along. Physical therapists are identified by: their name and their professional license ("PT"), and the highest degree they've obtained, which is typically either a Master's of Physical Therapy ("MPT" or "MSPT") or a Doctorate of Physical Therapy ("DPT"). My therapist, Arash Maghsoodi from [P]rehab has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, which is the highest degree level for physical therapy, with certification for Strength and Conditioning as a specialist in improving athletic performance, making him a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I am grateful that my Orthopedic Doctor, Emily Miller of UCLA had [P]rehab on a list of therapists to choose from. After calling a few facilities who didn't match up for various reasons, I called [P]rehab and without hesitation, I was given an appointment. Upon arriving, I noticed that [P]rehab maintains high hygiene standards. The facility was clean and organized. After Arash interviewed me about my injury, he had a thorough understanding of my problem, complaints, and goals. Arash performed hands-on manual therapy and corrective exercises that focused on the underlying problem. He measured the injured location, performed soft tissue mobilizations and manual lymph drainage, he demonstrated a few exercises and guided me until I was able to perform each one adequately. I understood that I would have to put in the work and that the road to recovery was not a straight one. Nevertheless, seeing the USC Diplomas on the wall assured me that I would receive proper therapy and I would have the best chance of healing correctly. After my first appointment, I did not feel like I could be getting more from my physical therapist. Arash was informative and helped me understand my injury and explained why he selected the exercises he chose. Part of his therapy is "consistency" and [P]rehab offers an avenue to its patients via a follow-up video of the assigned exercises. Just as he said, I received the email with a link to the videos. All the above along with their professionalism made it clear that I was not just another number on the schedule, which helped me decide to continue my therapy with them. I did have one concern because [P]rehab is not an in-network facility for me with Anthem PPO. However, getting proper therapy is my main goal so paying up front and receiving a bill to submit to my insurance was no longer an issue. My progress was consistent from the second I chose [P]rehab. Michael Lau and the entire Prehab team are truly the best in the business. I suffered from a severe tibial plateau fracture (i.e., bad broken lower leg) with complex medical complications. Michael began guiding my care from the very early stages (I even still had surgical wounds) and because of his strategic approach to the rehab process, he had me walking again significantly faster than normally expected. Because of Michael and the team, I'm on my way to a full recovery. On a weekly basis, Michael curates a custom library of Prehab instructional videos that help guide my at-home physical therapy in between clinic visits. I've been (un)fortunate enough to deal with a variety of injuries over the years, a handful of surgeries, and a half dozen or so physical therapy practices. At almost all of them, I was frustrated by the boilerplate provided to me as "customized" therapy - printouts from the same computer program which were the same when I had my first knee surgery twenty years ago. What impressed me the most about Prehab was their progressiveness and dedication to research - and how they advanced with modern medicine as quickly as we expect physicians to. I found them after my initial post-op therapist was more of the same old - I plateaued, was limited by pain, and didn't get any real answers to my rehab. Prehab is different. I appreciate their dedication, knowledge, and endless passion for modernizing physical therapy. I'm confident you will too. I've had a lot of physical therapists in my life, but none holds a candle to Adele. She's exceptionally knowledgeable - I've got a lot wrong - and she always is able to figure it out. Most importantly, she gets results. I'm a D/D- physical therapy patient, yet I'm close to recovered following a pretty serious injury. It's due to her intelligence and effectiveness. Everything she does has a purpose. There is no waste. She's also really likeable (which helps when she's being firm about reps). I can't recommend her highly enough. Other things - The studio is a pleasure to visit. It's airy, modern & pristine, you often have the place to yourself, and if you're really lucky, you might see a doggie. Can't even begin to say enough great things about PREHAB. I am a fairly active and athletic person and I know from past experiences how important it is to find a great PT. I began seeing Adelle after I tore my ACL skiing last winter on the recommendation from my surgeon Dr. Jones/ the Lakers team doctor. When she left the clinic to open up her own shop with her fiancé Mike, I had to follow her. From the customized exercise "homework" with links to detailed video demonstrations (most PTs just tell you what you should work on between sessions and expect you to remember how to do them) to the option to join the "Return to Sport ACL Club" (which I highly recommend!), Adelle and Mike give their clients the best, most encouraging, challenging (and fun!) atmosphere. I have been to all of the local facilites at some point over the past 20 years..I always seem to end up with some sort of power struggle with my PT's because I am a highly trained mover. Its always been a real bummer, because I know my body so well and am so interested in learning.... My experience with Dorian was the best ever! He was 100 percent attentive, responsive, sensitive, communicative, caring and knowledgeable. He is a very rare bird in my opinion and I am deeply grateful for our work together. We worked together for 6 months total both in person and then virtually. I can't speak to the other PT's but the place itself has a great vibe. I am aware that it was quite a luxury to be able to invest in myself like this because for me it was all cash. But, I am so grateful for the ability to invest in my body with such brilliant support. Adele is the best PT I've ever worked with (and I've had a lot of pt for various sport injuries and accidents over the years). When I first started working with Adele I could barely walk around the block without having a ton of pain in my knee. After two knee surgeries over the last 15 years and really bad pt 10 years ago all of my leg muscles on my left side basically gave up. Now after almost a year and a half into PTing with Adele and I've never felt stronger. I'm back to hiking and biking and living an active lifestyle.
