I've been getting work done with Leo, Ryan, and their kind and hardworking staff for over a year now. They are patient, informative, skilled, clean, and trustworthy. I had a lot of anxiety about getting any kind of procedure done - and I don't spend my money on these kind of services without doing research. I feel totally safe in their hands and their work is completely client centered - there is no pushiness, rushing, or judgment. Love everyone at this med spa! Christine is my botox guru. I will not let anyone else touch my face. Ive went to a few botox places previously where they didn't listen to you. Christine is the opposite- she will work with you, your budget, your liking, your comfort level. She will never try to upsell if youre not comfortable, she'll make recommendations from products to use, to different facials, and botox. This last time I had an appointment; they made me feel so welcomed. I had a credit card issue and not only was Christine working with me, the front desk lady was calling their card reading employer, all trying to figure it out. Went in today to redeem my TheDailySave.com coupon which was $49 for a bottle of Latisse. I was feeling a little under the weather, so I called to ask if I could come in earlier than my original appointment. It was an on-the-spot request, so if the answer was 'no' I would've been understanding, but fortunately they allowed me to squeeze in... but not without some passive-aggressive guilt-tripping. I believe her name was Jane, the nurse practicioner who ended up giving me a 15 minute consultation on Latisse... nice woman, but very unprofessional in some of her comments. I simply asked if I could "come in now or I can reschedule for another day", and she responded along the lines of, "I can see you now if you're close... I'll just end my lunch early." Ummm ok.... sorry? I did say I could reschedule, but perhaps my bad? It didn't end there though... once she escorted me into the patient room and we sat down, she blatantly moved her chair away from me and announced that she didn't want to get close to me because she couldn't afford getting sick. Understandable, but WHY are you saying this to me? I already feel self-conscious about it.... She thoroughly went through all the intricate details about the eyelash prescription -- which I really liked -- and I felt pretty comfortable listening to her since she seemed honest and not pushy like a saleswoman. She was wrapping up our consultation when she asked me how I heard about their company. I told her I bought a coupon deal from TheDailySave.com and she responded along the lines of, "Oh, I see... yeah, we had a lot of people buy that deal. But you know, normally Latisse runs for $120. So really, we're losing money on this deal." Uhhhhhhhhhhhh is that MY problem? Feel bitter about it with your colleagues not with a patient! Seriously, the whole visit was ruined by her little bitter remarks. I felt like I wasn't welcomed, and so I'm doubting whether I'd give this place a second chance. A shame since the interior of the building is beautifully layed out and relaxing... I give this place 3 stars because of the ambiance, the detailed information I received on my product, the fact that they let me come in early, and the receptionist gave me a coupon. read more

I've been to Complexions Rx twice now and both times have had great experiences. First I went in for a consultation with Jane, the Nurse Practitioner who talked to me for at least half an hour discussing all the different treatment options for my breakouts. I ended up with a prescription and walked out with some awesome facial cleanser as well (but was definitely not pressured to buy anything). Next I had a deep cleansing facial with Christine, which was intense, yet relaxing. She has a magic wand that sounds like a bug zapper but shrank a monster zit I had almost instantly. The facial also came with a hand paraffin dip and arm/shoulder massage. This place is such a great alternative to waiting forever for an appointment with a dermatologist. I've been going to Complexions RX for about 10 years. Although I've tried other 'face places' I have yet to find another that I like better, or one that does better quality treatments. All of the NP's are professional, kind, and not hard sell at all. I have never had a bad experience! They have great specials each month too - that can save alot of money. Jane is very good. She has been doing my Botox and it's always right. I am 67 and bruise easily. I never leave with bruises. Jane did filler next to brow where I was hollowed out and no bruising. Looks very natural. Last week she did filler in my hands.....amazing. No bruising. She meticulously did the filler slowly in small amounts . My hands look 20 yrs younger.! Love it. Jane has been my go-to girl for Botox, dermal fillers, and basically anything going on with my face (KTP, millia removal, acne etc) from day 1. I set up an appointment with Emily for a microdermabrasion treatment at the end up April and I'm still reaping the benefits of the visit! The treatment improved my skin tone and my small acne flare ups . That wasn't even the best part...Emily took time to examine my skin and created a skin regimen for me, that to this day, has kept my skin glowing. My only warning is: if you visit Emily, be prepared to become addicted to her services!! I went back to Complexions Rx for a facial with Emily. Once again my experience was extremely pleasant. I left feeling rejuvenated and the last few days my skin has felt and looked amazing. Emily is a real expert when it comes to skin care and she helped with my winter dullness and mild imperfections. I have to call out the end of the treatment where Emily used a cooling massage technique that really was the cherry on top of the entire experience. I would recommend her services any day of the week for someone struggling with acne, dryness, or someone who wants to see overall improvements in their skin! Emily is very knowledgeable about skin care techniques and even answered a few questions I had the next day in regards to my treatment and future treatments. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND A RIP OFF! DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR COUPON ADS! I received a birthday postcard that said i would have $20 to spend on anything i please. When i went in there Carol kept trying to upsell me which made me feel real uncomfortable. She was really nice in the beginning but every time i told her i didnt want to spend the money on one of the products she suggested she just started to get irritated and completely stopped helping me all together even when i had questions on the basic items i wanted to buy. I also bought lattisse from them and they told me they ran out of rebates so they would mail me one. 4 weeks had gone by and i still had not received the rebate. I called them and they told me that they already mailed me one and they cannot send me another one. I told them i never received it so Carol said she will talk to the Nurse Practitioner and get back to me. I never heard back from them after 2 more weeks had gone by. I called them again and Carol said they got so busy she forgot to call me back. So by the time they finally sent it and i received it in the mail the rebate had expired. They sent me an expired rebate! So i call them yet again and of course i talk to Carol again and tell her i need a rebate that is not expired because latisse will not accept an expired one. Carol was extremely rude at this point and acted annoyed and told me that i shouldnt have waited so long before calling them to remind them that they didnt send me my rebate!!! Are you kidding me ????!!!! In the end neither the Nurse Practitioner or Carol would send me my rebate! So i ended up calling Latisse directly and told them of the situation and they apologized for Complextion RX unprofessional behavior and they honored the rebate. I WILL NEVER GO TO SUCH AN UNPROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. CAROL should be FIRED! She is ruthless! read more

Buyer beware! I'm shocked to see all the great comments about this place. While I agree that they are a nice, friendly and mellow office and that Jane the owner seems like a very nice lady. But since when does being nice trump being good at your job and giving your clients what they paid for?!? As lovely and nice as Jane was as a person, she has no idea how to inject lip filler! I looked like I got punched in the mouth (I'm not kidding, someone actually asked me if I had been punched in the mouth!) because she put way too much filler in the middle of my top lip, giving me a huge, marble sized bump where my cuspid's bow used to be. In addition, looked like I was getting over a herpes breakout because of the bumps, lumps, blisters and injection marks all over my lips. I went back to her a few days later for help fixing it. She proceeded to inject me with even more filler, (against my request- "trust me" she said) and I did but it just went from bad to worse. She told me to go home, massage my lips and in a few days the swelling would go down. A week later the "swelling" had not gone down because it was not swollen, I just had WAY TOO MUCH filler injected into my lips. I looked like a freak and was embarrassed to leave the house. When I went back a 3rd time, again she wanted to "massage the filler into place" which caused excruciating pain because not only is there too much filler but now I've been injected twice and have been massaging them for a week. Her response was that I "asked for this" and as a solution offered to give me an injection to dissolve all the filler and out of the goodness of her heart, "would not charge" me to do so. Also I told her exactly how much botox I wanted but she insisted that I need more and it was too much like I said it would be. So in the end, I paid RX Complexions $800 for nothing. Actually it was worse than nothing because I spent $800 to have my eyes look worse than before I went to her and my lips looking exactly the same after 2 weeks of pain, bruising and suffering and 3 office visits. This place is all about making a fast buck without any regard for a clients well being and happiness. If I could give them negative stars I would. read more

I've been to a number of other medi spas, but this one is the best. The others often have RNs doing the work but at Complexions Rx they have Nurse Practitioners. I have never felt like anyone was trying to sell me anything and the service is so personal. The receptionist Carol always remembers me, even on the phone. The nurse practitioners always listen to my concerns and are even willing to try different techniques that I have suggested. I have been to a few places where it's pretty obvious they haven't been long at the job and I was afraid to even speak up. But not here. The NPs, Jane, Stacey and Linnea are so soothing and mellow. It helps to put you at ease if you are in for anything painful. They are actually very patient with some pretty high maintenance clients. I have witnessed them be so kind and polite to people I consider pretty wack. I always get a lot of compliments on my skin and have referred quite a few clients. read more

I can't recommend this place and Christine enough! I went in for an initial consultation with Christine who recommended a chemical peel for my acne. I was extremely hesitant about the chemical peel and Christine was SO patient with me. I finally settled on an acne facial because I was too nervous doing a chemical peel as my first ever treatment. I am SO glad that I did the acne facial. Christine was extremely knowledgeable and so sweet during the entire thing. My face feels 8 million times smoother and is less clogged than it has been since mid 20's hormonal acne hit about 8 months ago. The nurse there is also great and offered guidance on skincare/products for my skin. As if that wasn't enough - Christine then texted me to see how my skin was doing and to give me some tips. She is WONDERFUL. Anyone who has had skin problems knows its extremely difficult to trust just anyone with your skin - I am so glad I trusted Christine. I truly felt cared for and listened to! Emily is an angel. In fact, I have nothing but nice things to say about every individual that I've met at ComplexionsRx. I recently moved to San Diego from Denver and, upon arrival, my skin was an absolute mess. The dry climate created a huge moisture imbalance that left me with severely congested skin and acne.
