My wife scrambled online to find me a highly rated massage therapist with next day availability and that's how she found Rebecca. I opted for the 60 min/cupping as I have never done it before so I was real excited. She briefly talked about the procedure and 10-15 mins into the massage she applied the cups with the right amount of suction. It was a little strange but not uncomfortable. She kept those cups on while she worked on my legs and feet. She definitely hit some spots I didn't know I needed. Ultimately I walked outta there feeling great. I noted on the form I wanted a massage on my tummy so my therapist worked on that without being asked or reminded. The place is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. It's not a new bldg or have modern spa-like presence but the place and the sheets feel clean. The AC was not on but they had fans in the room. There is about a 10" gap between the walls to the ceiling so you can hear all the slappin', flappin', and clappin' but otherwise the noise level is fine. They also give a punch card where you get a free 60 mins massage after the 10th visit. Highly recommend!

The culture difference is a bit jarring when it comes to tipping but they are advertising lower prices that seem under the market from my experience. Getting past that made the rest is worth it. Because they were also willing to work on spots other places culturally struggled with. Regard Deep Trigger Points: If you've got some DEEP trigger points and need SINGLE HEAL WITH FULL BODY WEIGHT driven sharply into a single spot to get the trigger point loose then THIS is your place! Tina walked on me for 2 hours. She dug heals into those really hard to hit places that nobody else is even willing to try. Again cultural difference. I've not had a massage this good in DECADES! The funny parts was that she was NOT shy about asking for a larger tip but here is the thing... I've spent more on massages that were nowhere near this effective at breaking a trigger point. So I think these folks are undercharging and I didn't mind paying what I consider "over the top" (based on percentage) for a gratuity. If you go in planning to pay more than they advertise it feels safe to also push them to REALLY dig into those spots that you really need worked! So it was a fare trade IMO. Regarding the Procedure: They cover you in a thin blanket and walk on you (no oils - but seemed like it might be option). There are some roof mounted hand rails for them to keep balanced. Tina complained about how hard it was to work on me (this would probably turn some people away but I think it's a cultural thing - considered unprofessional by American Expectations so it's awkward). She said nobody has ever asked for heals in the calves or glutes before and she pushed for higher gratuity based on how hard she had to work. Here is the catch. I've seen this before but the massage was NEVER this good so I didn't like it. This time? The massage was UNBELIEVABLE. She can complain all she wants at that point. Apparently I'm the only customer they have had that asked for this kind of deep trigger point work. She said most only let them work those spots by by hand, never full body weight with heals. Regardless I'm coming back. Will add this to my monthly routine (Been getting my hair cut at Sunny Day right across the parking lot for the last 20 years). The cultural gratuity weirdness (in this very rare case) was totally worth it.

I was in CA on vacation and had a bizarre incident - I was throwing my hip out due to a foot injury/walking funny. Folks here were super accommodating to get me in and even get a foot xray to my doc at home in VA. The plate in my foot was broken and they helped me find a walking boot store so I could safely (and far less painfully) get back home for surgery. I'll be back in CA to visit my grandbaby after recovering a bit, and will certainly use them to work on getting/keeping my hip aligned and pain free. My husband and I have been going to a chiropractor for years, but unfortunately he has decided to retire. We were concerned that we would not be able to find one who is as strong and as capable of adjusting us as he was. We were very pleased by the quality of service we received from Dr. Neal. Before being adjusted, we were able to relax our backs on heat and the spinalater. After loosening the muscles on my neck and back, which were very tight, Dr. Neal was able to easily adjust both my neck and my back. After the adjustment, I was able to turn my neck more easily to see behind me when pulling out of parking spaces, which I couldn't fully do before the adjustment. A couple weeks ago I was unable to walk, went to urgent care and was diagnosed incorrectly, a few days later went to PCP and was diagnosed with a severe sciatica problem. A co-worker who had a similar experience referred me to her chiropractor, after consultation, Dr Neal's diagnoses was same as PCP. Thank you to Dr Neal and Allie (the ray of sunshine who greets patients), I am on the mend. They are amazing, compassionate and want to help patients get back to normal everyday life. I have been seeing chiropractors for health maintenance for over 20 years. As a teacher I am on my feet all day and need the support of a good chiropractor. Well, Doc Neal is the best chiropractor! He listens to all concerns and really takes his time to make sure that you feel well before leaving his office. He offers great advice on various stretches. Allie, his office manager, is also fabulous. She is so flexible with the schedule and is always accommodating. They are a dynamite team. This is an unbiased review. There are a lot of chiropractors to choose from in San Diego, yet one stands above them all...Dr. Neal. He left another practice to start his own and I followed him there. He is so good that I drive on my lunch break (I work downtown) to see him. He's now even open on Saturday mornings! If you have a stiff or noisy neck, then see him. He actually knows how to actually adjust one. He doesn't barely adjust it and leave you wondering if anything actually happened...it's a real adjustment. Dr. Neal and his staff are amazing. I threw out my back on Monday and saw another chiropractor that day. My wife had been to Dr. Neal several times and, when she saw that I was still in pain, made an appointment for me at Comprehensive Spinal Care. His staff is very helpful and courteous. He is caring, professional and, it has to be mentioned, very strong. I walked out of his office feeling very much better, which only improved over the next few hours. I'm beyond grateful to have found Dr. Neal! He is very talented and I feel so much relief after leaving his office. Similar to a deep tissue massage when a practitioner is highly skilled, Dr. Saahil's adjustment was extremely thorough but never painful. I have degenerative disc disease, which gives me a constant level of pain in low back and hips around 5/10. After an acupuncture treatment, I was able to get my inflammation down so the pain was only 2/10. I thought that was as pain-free as I'd ever be, but it was my first adjustment with Dr. Saahil that took my pain even lower and had me at 0/10 where my pain was totally absent for the first time in years! I will definitely continuing seeing him on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My plan it to come in twice a week for a while until my spine is no longer slipping back out of alignment, and then coming in once every 1-2 weeks for maintenance because I can really see how beneficial it is for my body to be properly aligned. Kudos to the office for being set up to take an FSA and HSA as well, which makes the cash payment rate even more affordable.

Upper Cervical Chiropractic San Diego…read more I cannot give enough praises for the excellent care I have received from Dr. Mercedes Cook. My neck has been a reck for years! After a few months of care, I was much improved and back to doing the things I love. I had a little setback a few weeks ago, should have called and gone in when the pain was excruciating, but waited for my appointment instead. Knowing I was going out of town the next day, I thought an adjustment will "get me through my vacation" but didnt expect much more. Boy was I wrong! Dr. Mercedes adjusted me, assured me that it is a process and I can and will get better. I left the office praying she was right and just wanted relief. By morning, I didnt even think about my neck when I got out of bed. No pain, No dizziness! I drove 5hrs to AZ on Thursday and 5 hrs back on Sunday. I went swimming , site seeing, carried luggage, the entire 4th of July weekend. I am so very grateful to have found this practice, I highly recommend anyone struggling with cervical neck issues to see Dr. Mercedes and feel your very best again.
