Upper Cervical Chiropractic San Diego I cannot give enough praises for the excellent care I have received from Dr. Mercedes Cook. My neck has been a reck for years! After a few months of care, I was much improved and back to doing the things I love. I had a little setback a few weeks ago, should have called and gone in when the pain was excruciating, but waited for my appointment instead. Knowing I was going out of town the next day, I thought an adjustment will "get me through my vacation" but didnt expect much more. Boy was I wrong! They truly take the time to understand your medical history, assess where you are currently, and explain the process/what to expect. I have been coming to Upper Cervical Chiropractic for a few weeks now, I had been dealing with a long list of symptoms that no one seemed to be able to help me with. My initial visit/consultation was great. Gloria and Rachel are very kind and welcoming, I was given a full tour of the facility while I waited for my consultation, I had arrived early so I had some time. Then my consultation had began with Dr. Drake and he went over all of my symptoms and did some imaging. He took his time with me and feels like he really cares. Ive had a few adjustments with him and it is great. He is a phenominal chiro and I feel better and better with every visit. Dr. Drake has been out of the office but they didnt stop my treament plan and I have been seeing Dr. Cook this week and just like everyone else here she is amazing. The imaging equipment used is great, because it's not utilizing X-Ray technology and it provides the necessary information for making precise adjustments to the cervical spine. This review is for Dr. Cecilia Park. For at least the last 12 years, I've had issues with my neck and back. Sometimes the symptoms would get pretty scary. I've had numbness in my hands and feet; I've had constant fatigue in my arms; I've had my feet fall asleep while running; I've even woken up in the middle of the night with absolutely no feeling in my arms or legs. I've been to numerous doctors, and they've always told me the same thing: It's a nerve issue-there's nothing seriously wrong with you. I lived with those symptoms for years. It just became a part of my life. Then I visited with Dr. Cecilia. I told her my story. She was not satisfied with my "just live with it" approach. She wanted me to see her immediately. On my first visit, Dr. Cecilia set me up for XRays. At her office, she has this AWESOME 3-D X-ray machine. I can't even explain it, you just have to go see it. When Dr. Cecilia saw the results, she was a little horrified. My name is Manny. I have been suffering from years of low back pain due to my occupation. I also suffered a whiplash injury from a car accident a few years ago where my vehicle was T-boned. After the accident, I developed neck pain and my ribs on the left side would hurt. Medical doctors could not find what was wrong and their X-rays came back negative. I sought a chiropractor for my pain and had been going to him for 2 years, but I never got any lasting results, not even with massage therapy. When I visited UCCSD , I was desperate. I made an appointment because I been battling vertigo. A friend told me I should find an Upper Cervical Chiropractor. the closest one to my house was this place. When I saw Dr.Cook I told her what my issue was and she said she can help. First appointment she basically took an X-ray of my skull/face which cost $540.00 and took down my personal/ basic information. Little did I know she didn't take any type of insurance. I told her my insurance would pay me back. Because I have PPO. So no treatment /adjustment was done. The second visit she quoted me the price of the treatment which was 8 visits of 10 minutes each for $1700.00 . After she quoted me the treatment amount . I was more than willing to have her do the treatment but, here I am 2 weeks with nasty vertigo and second time visiting this place All I got was a small tap on the side of my neck. I told her I needed an adjustment and she said , "oh no "I have to do it gradually. I'm thinking hmm !!! Is not like she's giving meds. I was pissed beyond words. I never went back for a 3rd visit . My daughter starting seeing Dr. Lee about three months ago, and since then she has seen a major improvement in her health. She crashed on an ATV a few months prior and began to experience a range of symptoms such as headaches, back and neck pain, heart palpitations, dizziness, and numbness. We finally figured out that it might be something to do with the crash affecting her neck, and Dr. Lee agreed once she did exams and took x-rays. She began treating my daughter two or three times a week. The visits are short (about 15 minutes) which is convenient. Dr. Lee is usually quick and thoughtful, but a few times my daughter felt like her visits were rushed and not as thorough as they could have been.
