    My D.

I hesitated on writing this review because I was in shock for a while after this experience. I came here last summer and I was appalled to say the least. First thing I was asked was, "How long are you in the country for? You don't seem like you're from around here." I'm an American citizen, but that is irrelevant to the service I am requesting for my laptop. A week after the laptop was fixed it broke again. The next person who looked at my laptop said the previous person removed the screws and taped the parts together.

    Hp 230 fixed and working!

This place is great!!!! I kept getting blue screens on my pc. I called the shop, he said come right in. I left my pc over the weekend, he mounted things that were not mounted, he put thermal goo stuff on my graphics card and heat sink!!! And upgraded one of my ram sticks(that was the problem) and didn't charge me for the mounting or thermal goo stuff. Nor for the upgraded ram stick. And he charged less than his own quote!!!!! Definitely fast efficient and honest local business. If you're a goofy at computers like I am, please take ur pc to this dude!

I'm a fan, and I trust Matt Horon and his company implicitly. He's dug my machines out of the holes that I've managed to dig them into a number of times, always with a steady hand and straight-ahead counsel. He's one of those rare (these days) service providers that is more interested in what's good for his customers (maybe I should call the relationship one of clients?) than ringing up another invoice with an opp for an upsell on the side. Let's face it, most peeps don't go to shops like this for random visits, it's almost always due to a problem, at the worst time. I'm sure he's got his share of drama, but he keeps an even keel. Oh, and don't let his phone demeanor throw you, he's just a bit more binary than the average tan-bed salesperson, but that's what you want from someone in his position! Go there. Use them. They'll take good care of you and your toys!

They did not offer to look at it to see what might be the problem and told me that I could buy an external microphone." Without even confirming the exact problems my internal mic is having. I mean, I was not even asked to open the MBA just so we could take a quick look together. Instead, they told me to go to their Tukwilla store, (cause that's where repairs happen) and that labor is $95 an hour). Their care was at best, uninterested to completely nonplussed with anything I had to ask. What a total bummer. The two men didn't give a fvk about my questions but suggested I buy products from them. This place came highly recommended and not only will I never give these people my money but I will also never recommend anybody to waste their time here unless you look like them. They may even ask you to turn on your laptop and show them what's going on with your computer if you look like them. But I straight up got the nicca treatment. Oh well. I think this store attracts a specific personality type and I noticed that some staff focus more on the specs of an item rather than focusing on the customer. It's hit or miss. Having come from sales and the service industry, I think that the emotional iq aspect could improve. I'm not giving this location a bad rating. I wanted to get an extra wireless keyboard and mouse so I could have one at work and one at home and wouldn't have to carry them around. I asked about them in the store and was led to a plastic box that was filled with identical wireless keyboard mouse combos. I picked one out and asked where the chip was. This should have tipped off the clerk that I was not tech savvy. As I suspect many of there customers are not. She told me the toggle was under the mouse. I got the set home and did not see a toggle under the mouse (latter I found out she was saying dongle). I looked in the battery chambers of both the keyboard and mouse and did not see it. I called the them and was told to check the battery chambers of both the keyboard and mouse and once again I didn't see it. I was told that this would be a once in a lifetime that a chip was not with the keyboard. I brought the unit in and we looked in the keyboard battery area next. Then we looked we looked at the mouse and they pointed out a built in dongle compartment in the battery chamber of the mouse. I was never told there could be a built in compartment when I was in the store or later on the phone. I have since find some YouTube videos that explain where to find the dongle. This tells me I'm not that only one to have trouble finding it.

About two weeks ago, my favorite K-pop group, LE SSERAFIM, was in town and during the encore, they came out in full UW gear. After researching, I found out that the gear was from University Book Store. I really wanted to buy the hat that Chaewon wore and was able to find and buy one there. It was a University Book Store exclusive printed/embroidered on '47 brand Hat. There is a reason I am telling this story though! While I was there, I looked around and see what kind of merchandises they were selling and I noticed that they have done collaboration with quality brands such as Lululemon, Champion (reverse Weave), Adidas, '47 Brand, New Era, etc. Clearly, whoever is in charge of designing the fan gear here knows what they are doing. They also had a clearance section upstairs with items marked down up to 50%. If you're a current UW student or UW Alumni and haven't been here in recent years like me, I highly recommend checking it out. I've also noticed that books are arranged similarly to Barnes & Noble. The prices are a bit high, but they do go back into student support and activities, so it's a good investment. Also, there is a 20% discount or specific dates and timelines along with promotionals for students. but I don't think that these discounts apply to text books. I definitely recommend a university bookstore.
