My Dell computer charging port broke and I attempted to fix it myself. However, that didn't work and my computer started doing some very strange things. I contacted Katia at Computer Show and described what was going on and she immediately knew what was happening. I took my computer in and she tested it and found that the motherboard was the issue. However, she told me that I could also charge my system up with a USB-C charging cable and got everything up and running. With the work done and the replacement of the charge port and new charging cable, it was only about $111. This company is very knowledgeable and fair. I would highly recommend them for computer issues. The location is kind of sketchy, but they are definitely worth the trip. They obviously care more about the quality of their work and the fair cost to their customers, than they do about the flashiness of their location. read more

I found Computer Show on Thumbtack, and got in touch with Katia. I had three hard drives which were all fried in an instant when I made the bonehead move of the year and swapped out power supplies in a PC without switching the modular power cable that ran into the hard drives. Katia, through a third party service, was able to recover the data. The prodecure was not cheap, but I did get a discount from the normal rate by 25%. One drive was unsavable, being a solid state drive. The other two drives were recovered, one being a 1tb and the other being a 3tb. I would recommend Computer Show for data recovery due to the success of the recovery, and the good communication by Katia, who kept me in the loop through the entire process, and negotiated the best discount for me. read more

I found the owner on OfferUp & I met at the store (although its closed) to buy 2 awesome computer monitors. This make working at home a little easier, given COVID 19 shelter in place directive. I think this is local business. I encourage you to support this store. Tbh, the prices are a steal!! I don't think the store is producing much revenue. Instead she is helping to do her part & supply folks with computers, home office equipment to ease fustration during a tough time. As I understand, she recently opened, stocked up on inventory then they were given the directive the close to discourage further virus outbreak. Now they are being hit hard!! In very happy with two new monitors for just $40. All cords included. I wanted to share in case you need computer monitors, TV, keyboards, cords, etc. Personally, I'm very happy I stumbled upon this deal. I have a very old desktop PC (1995) on MS 3.1 OS with which I wrote a user QBASIC program being used for years without much of an issue (except I changed a run-out timer chip myself). About a week ago 2/19/22, the keyboard suddenly was not responding and I was not able to reboot. Katia was kind to let me bring the old PC in immediately and check on it. She was also honest to tell that if replacement parts are required, they could be very expensive or not available. On the next business day, she updated me on the progress of using a SCANDISK to check/repair the hard drive. Eventually, it was failed. But she said it might have fixed something that may help and showed me a link that I could download Qbasic software on my Windows 7 computer to make my user program work on newer Windows OS as a long-term solution. When I got my old PC back home, to my biggest surprise, it booted and worked as before! She just charged me a minimal fee! read more
