    Grapes on the vine
    Melissa S.

Exactly what we were looking for. We wanted wine tasting that came with a charcuterie board. On there website they said you have to give 48 hours for food. We took our change. We arrived on a Saturday at 10:30am when they opened, when we arrived they were still setting up. We were greeted warmly and were offered some sparking wine. According to my husband it was top notch and he's not a sparkling wine kind of guy. We were asked if we had a reservation and we said no and they said it wasn't an issue. We could still do a tasting. First we walked around the property and took some pictures. Unfortunately my husband blinked in the picture of us. Next time I'll check the picture before we leave and take a few. The ground was damp as it rained earlier that morning. We opted to sit inside. Due to we didn't have a reservation we were offered to sit at the bar. That was a good place to sit as you get more attention when you're at the bar. It was nice to sit inside too as it was warmer, we were offered seats outside too. They have a bocce ball court. We planned on playing when we finished the tasting, but the rain returned raining our fun out. Next time. We asked if we could get a charcuterie board. He said they have a Messa board and said we could get one. Yea!!! That made my day as that was the reason we picked this winery. We were also recommend this winery from my husband's sister when we said we wanted a winery with a charcuterie board. This was the perfect place to come. It was Gorgeous. Service was impeccable. They did seem understaffed and were running around a bit, but we got great attention as we were sitting at the bar. My husband ordered a flight and was educated on the wines. Just in case you were wondering. You can't order wine by the glass and you can't open a bottle on site. They only offer flights. This is what we wanted so it was perfect for us. I highly recommend this winery.

This is a lovely winery with amazing local wines and delicious food! Montage recommended us and made a reservation for us. They have a nice rose and a delightful Blanc de Blanc. Their 2016 Cabernet is highly drinkable with a rich and noble berries finish. The staff is super helpful and very accommodating.

Don't mind me, just casually in love with Comstock Wines. Upon arriving and walking through the breezeway towards the outdoor tasting grounds, I could tell I was gonna like the vibe here, and that was before the welcome pour of bubbles! We headed into the tasting room to check in to taste, we didn't have a reservation but they were happy to accommodate us. As mentioned, we were given a welcome pour of bubbly, my mom doesn't like bubbles and didn't plan to taste, but she was still given a welcome pour of her choice of two different white wines they had open! We went outside and picked where we wanted to sit, then were given the run down and tasting options by our tasting associate, Jason. We then enjoyed our welcome pours while deciding what to do. Though I typically go for the mixed flight option, their red flight wines were really speaking to me, and I'm glad I listened. Glasses were brought out then wines were brought out 2 at a time. I enjoyed learning about the grapes, where they came from, and everything else that was shared with us. Jason was extremely knowledgeable and fun to chat with. The property was spectacular. It was well maintained, the views were beautiful, and I loved that you were able to walk around to really experience it. I ended up going home with 3 bottles of wine, one of which has already been consumed before writing this review. Highly recommend Comstock if you want good wine in a beautiful setting, and with great service.

Stunning property! Delicious wine! Friendly service! What a perfect day out with friends - we felt transported to Europe! We made a reservation in advance and braved the 100+ degree heat on Saturday for an outdoor wine tasting. We were rewarded with a table in the shade and a quiet-ish setting (the heat scared everyone away). The servers brought us ice and water, and all of the wines poured were appropriately chilled. Two of us opted for the Zinfandel flight and two for the Classic flight. Our friends are members so the 4 tastings were complimentary as part of their membership. We also ordered 2 of their tasty cheese & charcuterie boards - highly recommend! They make pizza and offer other food options on certain days - inquire when you call to make a reservation. We bought a case of Zins and look forward to returning!

There are over 400 wineries in the Napa and Sonoma region, so picking the best ones to visit is no easy task! Fortunately, a friend suggested this one to us and I'm so glad they did! It was a bit of a drive from our hotel in Sonoma, but it was totally worth the trip. When you pull up to the building it doesn't grab your attention, but then we stepped through the building to the tasting area and were blown away. The table in the tasting area are situated right at the edge of the vineyard, with a scenic view of the surrounding hills behind them. We had ordered the mezze package, so we each received a beautiful charcuterie platter to accompany our tasting. The wine was served at a very relaxing and enjoyable pace. Our server, Jason, was incredibly friendly and happy to answer all of our questions. He truly enhanced our experience! We ordered several bottles to have shipped back home, so we'll have great reminders of this wonderful experience for many months to come!

Just went here with a group of friends and family for a wine and mezze tasting. It was so lovely! We went on a Monday so we were the only group there. Our server, Nick, was super kind, patient and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions (and we had many questions). The wines were all fantastic but the Sauvignon blanc, Pinot noir and Cabernet Sauvignon were the groups favorites. The mezze platter was also very delicious and went well with the wines. Lastly, the scenery was absolutely gorgeous! Such great photo ops here

This is my absolute favorite place to go in Sonoma County for wine tasting and food pairing. First off, the location in the Dry Creek Valley is so scenic. It's not far off the 101 near Healdsburg, but feels so remote and perfect. You are basically sitting on the edge of the vineyard, with beautiful rolling hills. We were greeted by Jason with a sparkling wine and then had a tasting with a mezzo plate which was perfect. The wines are amazing here, as is the food, but what shines even more is the people. Jason was so personable and knowledge. He is so passionate about wine, the area, and ensuring that guests have a wonderful experience. This was my second time for a girls weekend and we will return again. Definitely a "happy place" for us.

We had such a wonderful meal... The Wine and Woodfire special lunch. The foods were diverse, rich, and satisfying. The wines were perfectly matched. Our wine educator, Nick, was dedicated to teaching us about Comstock, the history of the winery, the varietals, and what to expect. The outdoor seating gave us a sweeping view of the Dry Creek awash in sunlight. We fantasized about gathering our closest friends and renting the big house they offer by the night, out in the midst of vineyards. Comstock has other dining options, good with pairings, and worth the quiet getaway just the "other side of the freeway" from the hustle and bustle of what used to be sleepy l'il Healdsburg.

I made reservations for two adults and two young teenagers on a Tuesday morning and were the first guests to arrive that day. We were greeted with a welcome glass and were told they were setting up our table. That gave us enough time to do a couple of selfies and within minutes, we were escorted inside. Season Leef was our host/wine ambassador that morning and we loved her energy, attention to detail and how she treated us like we were members of the MacRostie Winery/family. She was more about understanding our palettes and pouring us what we gravitated towards to showcase the vast portfolio Heidi (winemaker) has been able to produce. Usually not a fan of Chardonnays but it was a neat experience tasting different variables and how each one is slightly different. We know we like Pinot Noirs so when we started diving into the reds, thats when we started figuring out what we liked. Ended up purchasing a bottle of their 2022 Nightwing Vineyard 828 Clone Pinot Noir :chefkiss: My two young teens are used to being at wineries with us so they're pretty good about keeping themselves occupied on their own (even with out devices). But, I really appreciated that Season brought over some paper and a pack of markers for them since they both still like to draw. Plus, we had a couple of good sessions of tic tac toe while we sipped and took our time. We had a great experience here thanks to Season! Seeing that they're dog friendly, we'll bring our 4 legged family member next time.

I forgot the exact experience that we chose, but it was $75 for each with wine and food included. You will get 4 wine tastings, for us it was 2 reds and 2 whites, and a charcuterie plate with cheese, salami, and seasonal fruits and crackers. Wine quality was great. The white wines had a clean and crisp taste with that bright acidity and mineral finish. The reds had a very deep grapefruit aromatic and earthy undertone. After we've done with wine tasting, they gave us a free piece of dark chocolate (super yummy) at the end for palate cleanser. Our server was really knowledgeable and attentive though, so service was nice. Overall a great spot if you stay cool! But okay, few things to watch out for. Make sure you make a reservation in advance cuz they were packed (reservations needed prepayment). Even though we had one, we still had to wait like 20 minutes before our table was ready. Also, definitely ask to sit inside in the summer!! We sat outside and there is no AC, it was so hot we couldn't fully enjoy the graveyard view, it's way too sweaty for the summer.

The winery fit right in and we loved the small location with the view of the vineyards. We booked a reservation for the Root 101 Wine & Food Pairing Experience. I've had cheese and cracker experiences in wine tasting before, but this experience was a stand out with their perfectly curated arrangements of small bites that paired so well with the wines we were presented. Having the food pairing with the wines really felt like it brought out an elevated level of wine tasting because most wine is enjoyed with food when you take it home. The team really worked hard to make sure this tasting was unique and we found each bite to hold its own experience.
