My Apple watch battery wasn't holding a charge anymore; I prefer to get as much life out of…read moreelectronic things as I can. The options were to bring it to Best Buy (who'd send it to Apple for $99), buy a DIY kit for $45, or bring it to I Fix Screens right down the street. I did some research and found that replacing Apple watch batteries requires the screen to be removed and then heat-sealed with a special glue. That seemed too delicate an operation for me to try on my own. I read some Google reviews that said IFS was less expensive than BB, and since it's also much closer to me, it seemed like a no-brainer. I brought it in. I was told to leave it and the repairman would be in touch; it was ready within the week. I got a bit of sticker shock picking it up when he told me it was $130--I thought at the very least the price would be competitive with Apple! (Frankly, for $50 more than his fee I could get a brand new watch!) He said he told me the price on the phone, but honestly, I didn't hear it. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but if I had heard that price, I would have told him no thanks. When I got the watch home I noticed that there seemed to be deep scratches or nicks all along the edges where the screen meets the encasement. I took some photos of it to get a closer view, and it looks like bits of excess glue maybe? I don't want to mess with it, but seriously, for that price it should look pristine. I'm including the photos; the knobby bits are circled in red. ***UPDATE: There's no discernible difference in battery life. What an incredible waste of money!

So my iPhone just crapped out on me out of the blue so I stopped by Verizon to see what they could…read moredo. I felt like the service seemed not very genuine just because it was so professional it was fake as opposed to just greeting me like a real human "welcome to verizon wireless, that you for chosing us today, what can I help you with" uhh hey what's up? Besides that it took about 20 minutes for someone to help me but there were plenty of people walking around asking if I had been signed in yet but no one actually to assist. When I finally got tended to the sales person I dealt with was intelligent and informative however he was obviously selling a sales pitch and I really just wanted a cut and dry response to my question but I understand that's part of their job. Ultimately I walked out happy & the proud owner of a new phone... an HOUR AND A HALF later.

I went in to replace the tempered glass on my iPhone bc there was a huge scratch along the face. Avi(?) the store Manager replaced the glass & I noticed a bubble underneath. (Ugh!) I mentioned it. He said it was on the edge & should work itself out. I said OK & was on my way. I was in a bit of a rush bc I was dropping my car off at Firestone & didn't want my ride home to be waiting. Unfortunately when I got home, I saw that there was a white speck under the glass that I couldn't remove AND my cell phone case was broken. (Wasaahhhhh!) I called Verizon & was told to come in. This very sweet man replaced both my glass & my cell phone case!!! (Whew!) When all is said & done he not only put the customer's needs first, he didn't make me feel bad about it & I left with a phone that is now in much better condition than it was when I first got there. I truly value that kind of service! THANK YOU AGAIN!

This is about T Mobile phone in customer service and not about any particular store…read more So I did the usual upgrade with T Mobil where you get 2 upgraded phones and you trade in the older ones. I did it over the phone because if you go to a T Mobil store and you don't get there right when they open and you're the first on line, you will be there for hours. I then called customer service to see how I will go about sending them my trade in phones and they said there will be a shipping label and instructions in the box with the new phones so I would simply ship back the old phones in the same box and affix the shipping label and bring it to UPS. There was no shipping label in the box with the new phones. I then began an arduous journey of returning the trade in phones. On the first call I was told that I would receive an email with the label and instructions. No email received. I then called them back and it took over 30 minutes for customer service to generate an email which contained a shipping label and a packing slip that said that I was returning one phone. I then called back and asked for a new email with a shipping label and a packing slip that said that I was returning two phones. After 2 calls they said they sent another email. Never got one. I then proceeded to make 4 more calls to customer service reps and "supervisors" who insisted that the shipping label reflected the fact that there were 2 phones being returned even though it didn't say so. I then asked for a regular composed email with the pertinent information stating that I was returning two phones and I would simply use that as my packing slip and keep a copy for my records and I was denied and told that it doesn't work that way at T Mobil. In my last call to a "supervisor", she was rather condescending in tone and she said that everyone has told me the same thing and this was the way it was going to go whether I like it or not. Every consumer should be concerned about the fact that this new entitled workforce that we have in 2025 seems incapable of even composing and sending a simple email, notwithstanding the fact that we are are dealing with a company here that actually makes their money off of the transfer of information!
