I had used Dom's once before and had a positive experience with Phil so I assumed the crew was just running late. But when I asked if they were on their way, a woman scoldingly told me I did not confirm so no one was coming. I told her I absolutely did confirm, and I had been waiting for hours, after changing my schedule. She said "no you did not confirm." I said I'm looking right at my email where I replied yes. She said in a nasty tone, "Well I'm looking at my system and it does not have a confirmation from you." I said "I don't care what your system says. I did confirm. I'm looking right at it." She repeated, very argumentative and condescending when she should've been apologizing: "I'm looking at my system and everyone else is confirmed but you're not." I said "Then your system is broken because I confirmed! Check your email. I confirmed." Now she yelled at me "Don't speak to me like I'm a child." Excuse me? SHE was the one scolding ME like a child, when she should've been APOLOGIZING for standing me up when I had a confirmed appointment! IN ADDITION: This whole business of "confirming" is ridiculous. I made the appointment, and I didn't cancel it. Even if their system somehow missed my confirmation (which is inexcusable) you don't CANCEL an appointment without contacting the customer. They have my cell number. They should've notified me that they were cancelling. Then I could've directed them to my confirmation email which they somehow missed. Also: Their email made it sound like confirmation was optional. It said: "Hello. This is a reminder that Phil will be with you on (date) between 2:30 & 3:30pm. Thanks, Dom's Landscaping. Reply yes to confirm or visit (website). Thank you." That email says Phil is coming! It does NOT say (but it SHOULD say): "If you don't confirm, we won't show up, and we won't even contact you to let you know we're standing you up." Since that is apparently their policy, they need to make that clear. But again, I CONFIRMED! I have proof. And I waited! And no one came. And when I called, I got scolded, even though it was THEIR FAULT. This is a terrible business.

They were in the middle for pricing but sals local knowledge and no nonsense attitude were key factors for me. I got stacci confirmed and sal and his team got to work. The staff is top notch and did an amazing job, not just for the main driveway expansion job, but also with reconfiguring my steps (towards the top) to be wider and more welcoming (which I didn't even have specs for!). I called and spoke to Erin and Kelly about the issue and they sent Sal to look at the crack. To my surprise all the nice things I said about Sal went out the window when he rudely said 'cant do anything, let me me know when it gets bigger'. Everything I googled on cracks in Cement state "if it's a headline crack it can be fixed easily and Not to wait till it gets larger" ...more or larger cracks are more difficult to repair" and more costly. I know that this was not the Sal I knew. He sounded more like his uncle Joe, arrogant and disrespectful. In the mean time Joe, do the right thing and let YOUR workers come and seal the crack. This is your fault. I told Sal when they poured the cement that the root of the tree needed to be cut out but you and your men said it didn't matter. I only redid the block of cement because they were lifting a little. The old cement was there for 30 years and had NO cracks. Just a little lift at seam. You are a business you need to take care of your customers. Btw sand that was put between nicklock pavers is still missing and you charged me over 11,000 for the work that has overspilled cement on pavers. I didn't even complain about that last October. If you want me to update this review I recommend that Joe tells Sal to fix this issue. ​

It was one of those things where I thought "Man, I need to look into getting that cut down" but kept putting it off. Luckily, Howard happened to drive through the neighborhood & left a price quote. Very reasonable price. I gave him a call & he swung by a few minutes later. I showed him some branches in the backyard that I also wanted trimmed. He gave me very good deal to combine the jobs. A week later a large crew of ultimate professionals got the job done in about an hour. Left the place spotless. Even threw in adding the mulch to my shrubs. Normally I do a bunch of research before hiring someone. I'm quite fortunate that Howard's Tree Service fell in my lap because it was the perfect job. Good value, great service. Extra shout out to the receptionist, who I spoke with a couple of times and was very helpful. I stupidly had my ringer turned off my phone and thus made her job much more difficult than it should have been. She never lost her patience with me failing to pick up the phone! If you need a tree cut, go with these guys!
