Doctor would not clear him for work because he was shaky, even though he did not know the physical was going to happen, He thought it was only a drug test so he had not eaten and only had caffeine now if he wants to be cleared, he has to pay out-of-pocket to go see a neurologist, which is completely unnecessary. First time here. Had a minor accident at work. Was seen fairly quickly maybe waited 10-15 minutes on a Tuesday around 2pm. That was probably the best part of the appointment. Was seen by someone I think their name was jose, could be wrong. I already have High BP and I was not feeling well due to the incident plus personal reasons so I knew my BP was going to be high. He took my BP and was like wow thats high did you not take your medication today or something. Like, I already don't feel good so you're going to be rude to me now? Then the dr came in i think dr hoang or something. Immediately starts talking about my tattoos and asks me where im from. Then proceeds to look at another and says oh yeah that one needs more work. Im confused like wtf don't worry about it. Then he starts to look at my head and says wow your hair is thinning already you're so young that shouldn't be happening. Bro, you don't know my life and what I have gone through. I felt like those comments were inappropriate and unnecessary. I started tearing up because I was just feeling so pissed off and annoyed + in pain. I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I came in for a physical and it took about an hour and a half. The front desk staff were nice enough. The front desk quoted me the right amount of time. I really like that you can fill out everything on your phone. The nurse and Doctor were exceptional. They were super fast and super nice. They got me in and out of there. They explained every step of the process to make sure I knew what was happening. Much better experience this time. I was ready and prepared to experience what others have written on here. Long wait times, rude staff...etc. I believe in prayer and so I went into prayer for peace and efficiency before going. I come here today for a 3:45 appointment, checked in literally at the time of my appointment because I was running late. I can't use my dominant arm to sign in due to a fractured elbow, and the staff had compassion for it and offered to sign me in for me. This was the first sign of good news. So far prayer answered. Within 5-10 minutes I was called back. Another prayer answered! Made small talk with staff, cracked some jokes and treated everyone with patience, respect and understanding that they're stressed and ready to go home. Guess what? When you have the right attitude, the atmosphere changes. Who would've thought? Was seen within 5-10 minutes after being brought back, very nice person who took time to check my elbow and knew I wasn't ready for PT yet. Said they'll schedule me another week of rest and go from there. Answered some basic questions and left to get my paperwork. Few minutes go by and she comes back stating they have a new orthopedic doctor joining the team in a week and scheduled me to seem him instead! Woah!! Miracle right there. Another prayer answered. Waited about 20 minutes for everything to be scheduled, got my paperwork and I'm on my way. Moral of the story: prayer works, miracles exist, and what you give attitude wise is what you'll get back. I went in right at opening on a Thursday with multiple symptoms. The nurse at the front saw all my symptoms and said "We aren't going to run a bunch of tests here. Pick one," and she laughed. I said "okay, the sore throat is my main concern." Two hours later, I was taken back where I was tested for COVID, flu, and strep, and since all were negative, I was told to go get Allegra and rest. I had a gut feeling and got a second opinion at another urgent care where they tested for more viruses. Thank goodness I did because I had a very serious virus that needed immediate care. The reason I am even giving this terrible place two stars is because the PT department is phenomenal and super friendly. Other than that Dr. Hoang is terrible. I am only going here because of workers comp. Initially they said it was a sprain of my ankle. After 2-3 weeks something just was not feeling right and I made him aware of my concerns. He completely ignores them and says it's fine. I asked for an x ray or MRI and all he did was make excuses as to why I could not have one. 3 months later I finally get a MRI which confirmed I have tendinitis. All of which could've been avoided had they took my concerns seriously. Dr. Hoang only sees you for maybe 5 minutes and makes an analysis of that time. Please DO NOT GO HERE! Go elsewhere. I was there for a workers comp back injury, was there for over 3 hours just to spend 5 minutes with the Dr and they tell me nothing is wrong but then try to force me to do physical therapy with them. They tell me multiple times i can not leave the building without scheduling appointments like they are holding me hostage or something when i am trying to tell them i will call to schedule appointments but you cant do that either they will just schedule it anyway even if you dont want them to. the nurse didnt even know to spell OFFICE ASSISTANT he kept trying to use autocorrect!! that is insane. I was finally able to leave after 3 hours and them arguing with me over scheduling appointments in the middle of the work week/day. I called my worker comp claim adjuster and told them i DO NOT want to be seen here and i wanted to switch providers they said i can do that THANK GOD. Today, ALISHA CALLED my office phone and i am the receptionist and she laughed at me and scoffed and asked if i put myself as the HR Contact and i explained to her no its the office phone you are calling and she laughed and was rude and scoffed and said it was a courtesy call to let me know they were going to close my claim. I'm only going there for Worker's Comp. Excruciating pain in both knees after a fall at work (one broken kneecap, bruising and swelling) and ambulance ride to Grossmont Hosp ER for initial intake. Had to wait a week for the appointment at Concentra. Waiting room an hour and fifteen. In exam room I waited an hour. I yelled for help but nobody responded. I hadn't had breakfast because I was worried lab tests would require fasting. Guess it was lunchtime? Girl finally brought chewy bar and water. 6 hours I was there. S.I.X. !!??? My volunteer driver was so mad at me because they lost a full day's work/pay over this. Drug test incomplete after three attempts on TIMED test and wouldn't let me go home until they had a specimen. Drank two bottled waters and still couldn't. Only stopped trying because they were closing for the day. And they want me back in just two days? Unbelievable. read more

3 and half months with a brace on my left wrist from a work injury that requires surgery. Work Comp confess they had a glitch in there system while blaming Concentra for submitting the wrong surgery code. The staff has been very helpful and kind. Update to yesterday- stayed two hours, watched people without appointments go back, rude lady number one took our payment about an hour in, after the next hour I asked for a payment reversal and took my boyfriend to the emergency room. He got taken to accelerated care immediately and hooked up to an IV and tested positive for covid and an ear infection. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! I arrived at 12:07 and my appointment was at 1, AT 1!! It's almost 2pm and they still haven't called me in mind you I came in an hour in advance. There was a couple people in the lobby already when I came in and while there was more people coming in after me THEY HAD THEM GO IN BEFORE ME! Specifically 6 patients. A guy next to me said "Oh my god!" And I asked him at what time his appointment was and he said his appointment was at 12. I must add that even over phone I made my appointment with Adrian and he had me wait 20 min because he, and I quote, "WAS TOO BUSY". Had to come to this place because this is where my work uses... first visit was at the Ruffin rd location 24/7 mind you and nobody answers the phone, so when I get there ring the door bell and nothing ( mind it was 38 degrees that night ) FINALLY I GET LET IN. Waited over 45 minutes before anyone even came back to the front desk to get my paper work . Get the paper work filled out and waited another 40 minutes to come and go over it on why I'm there . Finally get called back and let the physician know what happen and she questions my story.... ( smoke inhalation) so not an x ray or anything , says use a inhaler and these meds you will be fine and sends me on my way after 5 minutes of looking at me.. Few days have gone by and still not feeling well so I came to the SANTEE location ... I'm told to go sit in my vehicle and will be called back shortly! Just over an hour goes by and finally got a call said they are ready for me and take me to the room and ask me to put on a apron for the X-ray I was asking for. Put it on and wouldn't you know it, sat for another hour before someone comes in to take my heart rate ( room was freezing ) finally that physician comes in says "ok your fine just keep taking your meds" I asked what about the x ray? She says not needed and tells me my papers will be ready at the desk...??? If you are planning to come here as a walk in be prepared to wait a minimum of 2.5 hours. I work for county of San Diego and they do their workers Comp through U.S. health works. Day 1: 9-26-17 I was given a questionnaire, regarding my past medical history and to describe my current medical state. I waited about an hour to be put in an exam room. The nurse was very nice and professional. She took all my vitals and asked me all the basic questions, "how much do you drink, how often I exercise, etc." I was given paper shorts and a paper gown to put on to take x rays. Doctor Hoang came in shortly after and did an examination of my scraps and asked me what happen in my incident. He told me he would like to X-rays. About 30-40 minutes went by of waiting and the nurse came back to take X-rays. After X-rays I was escorted back to my medical exam room and waited until the results came in. Once they printed the results the doctor called me over to take a look at my fractured Scapula. He explained I'm very lucky this incident was not worse and it's very difficult for someone to break/fracture the Scapula bone because it's covered with muscle. I was taken back to the exam room the doctor ordered me muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatory meds, a new sling, ice, heat packs, and dressing for my scrapes. The whole process took about 4 hours. Day 2: 9-27-17 I had a follow up appointment at 8:00am I arrived at 7:50. I signed in and was called about 20min later. I was taken to an exam room and was seen right away by Dr. Hoang he wanted to check my cuts and re dress them. He told me everything is looking good and I will be seeing a ortho doctor soon, as Well as doing some physical therapy. I left the doctor office about 8:40. I came back to the office 1/26 and they basically told me my test hasnt been put in the system. I would recommend this place for physicals and regularly scheduled appointments and anything work related. But will never go for urgent care ever again. To be fair The front desk and nursing staff are kind and professional and has nothing to do with my review. They seem very efficient when it comes to anything other than the urgent care part . I waited for about 2 hours and was seen by the Dr for being generous about 5 minutes who told me I should have went to the ER for IV antibiotics. Prescribed me oral antibiotics and advised to go to ER for even the slightest worsening of symptom's. Then left the room. I sat and waited for about another 15 minutes thinking someone would come give me discharge paperwork or after visit summary and say I can go but no one came. I walked out asked if I could leave and they were surprised I was still there no paperwork was given. I went to the pharmacy but it was closed I'll pick them up today. So she walked in and got checked in. After about an hour waiting 2-3 other people walked up saying they had appointments (still don't understand why we weren't allowed to make an appointment but they were). Horrible horrible service, I had a 9am appointment, they didn't see me until a little after 10pm. Got my TB test done, they wrote down they did it at 9:54 even though they didn't even let me in until 10. It was more likely done closer to 11. When I walk in two days later at 9:55, and sign in. They tell me 2 minutes later my TB test is invalid since I went over by 2 minutes! Such BS since the nurses probably put the earlier times to make it look like they were not late.
