Avoid it if you can. The staff is friendly, for the most part, except for the one dude that is working who mumbles so bad you can barely hear what he says. The ladies that work there are nice, but bull shit with a smile is still bull shit. I had to go there for a work related physical and drug screen. The first time it was my day off, so the hour and half wait wasn't a big deal, although ridiculous. I later found out that they misplaced my paperwork. Today I went there for a drug test and waited for an hour when the expected wait time was 45 min, which I thought was reasonable. When I arrived, they said there was a few people ahead of me. When I asked for my paperwork back, they told me there was only one person in front of me and that it would be another 20 minutes or so. When I arrived, they said there was a few people ahead of me. But how long does it take to watch someone piss in a cup, put it in a zip lock bag, seal it and label it? Should not be more than 10 minutes. I got my paperwork and went back to work. Be up front about the wait. When you work at a place, unless its the first week, you should have a pretty good idea of how the work flows. If this business relied on good reviews rather than corporate accounts, it probably would not be around for long. I have been to enough medical businesses to know when customer service is a priority and the customer's time is valued. I will never give this place my business willingly. read more

Overall staff and faculty are in inadequate and don't have a proper processing system for walk ins and basically tell you have to wait all day and don't wanna accept anyone after 3:30pm. People were there for work injuries had longer wait periods when clearly injured. read more

I came here today after trying the Reno location on multiple occasions including this morning, for it to be a zoo with rude staff. The sparks staff was more than friendly, more family-like, and I even happened to get a free hot dog They got me in for the drug screen and physical and out in an hour! Surprisingly efficient and friendly worker's comp urgent care center. I found them to be remarkably efficient given the waiting room patient load. The doctors were straightforward, friendly and helpful, keeping things simple. Front office staff were good at their jobs. Refreshing compared to HAWC and Renown's ER and Urgent Care and to other urgent and emergency care across the country. To be fair to Renown's ER, Concentra only deals with urgent rather than emergent cases so that does simplify things a bit. I had a simple case and later a follow-up. Since it was a worker's comp case I got to get a urine test which took a while to organize and they almost put someone that just got there ahead of me after I waited 15 minutes. Otherwise, it was quick and easy. Both visits I was waiting no more than 20 minutes before I saw a provider. I got x-rays quickly. The receptionist was nice and helpful. There were useful diversions in the waiting room that while tightly arranged wasn't that uncomfortable and didn't have unpleasant, depressing lighting like, say Northern Nevada's Medical Center's ER. I'm not sure if this facility does ordinary urgent care, but if they do, it's a nice alternative to overburdened facilities run by Renown and others (though Renown on Vista isn't too bad, actually). It was my first on the job injury and was easily handled so that was great. read more

Horrible service and they don't even seem to care about their patients. I came in with an appointment and was there for two hours and the doctor spent no more than 5 minutes with me. He didn't even look at my injury, even when I tried to discuss some of my problems, he didn't even seem to care. I hate Concentra. I pay $100 out of pocket every two years to avoid them. Every time I go here it's a huge wait, even with an appointment. My employer pays for our D.O.T. exams if we use Concentra. Every time I go in to do the exam. I am told I need to do a sleep apnea test. I explain to them I've already done two of them, and I do not need a C-pap. They insist, and will not give me my certificate with out it. So the last 4 years I have paid out of pocket at a real doctor to attain it. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The women at the front desk were rude and literally dumb as rocks. I was there a few weeks ago and they had the TV on in the waiting room that was SO loud I'm sure the doctor examining a patient in an exam room could have heard it. They were also watching a show that was definitely not appropriate for all audiences, it was some supernatural show that was pretty disturbing. I asked questions to the women at the desk and it was like talking to a robot, unable to use their brains. So frustrating. Had an appointment at 9am for drug test and physical for work. Arrived at 8am to fill out paperwork. Almost 10 am and I have not been called. I watch as others arrive and are called back... I don't think I will get out of here anytime soon. I have read some of the other negative reviews and they are correct. Horrible service and slow to boot. Worse organization than the DMV at least they take customers in order. I've been getting DOT physicals and drug screens probably 3 dozen times over the last 22 years. I would rather go to the social security office or the dentist to have teeth pulled than do business with Concentra. The waits at Concentra are ridiculously long with no solution because they know your career depends on you not walking out. I'm here today for a drug test and physical and they refuse to drug test me until the physical can start. I've had to pee for hours and the only thing extra they would have to do is drop a stick in the sample. This place is ridiculous and a huge waste of time and money to business. So, took wife here because she got a chemical splash from work and got a bit in her eye (worker's comp). The doctor wouldn't even see us and said "we don't have the equipment for that - you have to go to the hospital." Well, we went to Renown... where it took nearly 7 hours to get a simple 3 minute "look" at her eye with an ultraviolet light with special eye drops and then just checked her eye pH. That's it. The doctor did this IN THE HALLWAY. There was no "special" equipment needed. Thankfully she was fine, but there's one of two issues here: 1) either the doctor at Concentra was lazy (or stupid) and didn't want to deal with it, or 2) the clinic is incompetent enough to not have an ultraviolet light and drops to put in an eye to examine such an issue. Obviously they have pH strips. Either way, their sending us to the ER cost the employer well over $1,000 and my wife and I 7 hours on a Friday afternoon for something they should have been equipped to handle and could have done in a matter of minutes. Had to come in for a vaccination for work. I disn't have an appointment or anything. The woman at the front desk was cordial and told me how long I would have to wait. It was packed inside and she told me twenty minutes would be my wait. After about 15 minutes I was called back. Got my shot and the nurses were all very nice and friendly. They explained everything to me and answered my couple questions and off I went. All in all it was a pretty pleasant experience for getting a needle in me. read more

As we're waiting the 2 ladies up front we're on their cell phones, after seeing them on their cell phones I asked how long it would be for our second set of paperwork. They may be ok in some areas and many nurses I encountered seemed helpful until I relied on them for paperwork. They charged me over $120 out of pocket to get my back checked out saying it would be best to reopen a Workers Comp. claim. The doctor did next to nothing thinking he would wait to see if the claim would be reopened. If successful he would do more. My adjustor was clear about what needed to be submitted by the doctor to reopen the claim; 1 letter from the doctor. I need 1 letter from the doctor and the medical records nurse is just sitting on this and will not return my phone calls. When I do speak with her she says, "most people would have given up by now. You're persistent." I guess they charged me over $120 expecting me to give up. Awesome, thanks for your help. Apparently communicating with me or the doctor is beyond their capabilities. read more

I had to go back to desk ask for paperwork ask if they received the orders, etc. After sot y ing another 30 mins I couldn't wait as I was so uncomfortable from having to urinate. I finally complained after 45 mins of all this! I got taken back as nurse myself this is unacceptable to not even update clients on wait times. Then to top it off my urine was diluted and I asked the tech if she was sure its ok because I could go again. This place is a joke! They should get zero stars! Called this morning to see if I could reschedule a respiratory physical because I am sick. They can only reschedule me two weeks out. I will be expired by then. So I arrived on time for my 11:00 appointment. Waited 47 min in without being seen so I asked how much longer it would be since I am sick. After all the negative reviews on this place I definitely felt like I needed to post a positive one because I know one is definitely more likely to post a negative review than a positive one. I needed a pre-employment drug screening and physical and wanted to make sure and get there right when they opened. I showed up at 7:03am (they open at 7) and there was about 5 other guys in there all for similar appointments. I checked in and they told me I would be there for 2 hours. I just said okay and waited. They were getting people in and out pretty quickly and I went back to do my drug screening and couldn't fill the pee cup (smh I pee all the time) so I had 3 hours to go back out and drink a bunch of water until I had to pee, I was a little frustrated but they were just doing their job, my fault for not filling it, then told them when I was ready and after that everything else took less than an hour and I left there a little after 9. You can tell they are genuinely trying to work on their customer service and customer satisfaction, there are signs everywhere throughout the building stating that if your customer service is under a 10, to call the number and speak with them about what happened. Both the front desk people and the doctors in the back were nothing but friendly with me, especially Reynold (I believe that is his name). I was genuinely scared to go here after all these reviews but I had a fairly pleasant time just because they treated me well. read more

I had to go here for a drug test today for a new job. They said my wait was going to be 45 min..now I ask why does it take 45 min to even do this? I get there and sign in and told the girl I had been here before but since got married and needed her to update my name, she did not want to do that and made me fill out all the paper work again. I waited over 45 min to do a very simple drug test. I had to go here when I got hurt on a job a few years ago and did not like them then either. While I was there they lost 2 peoples charts..how do you lose a patients chart? Very unorganized and the girl who greeted me was way too peppy to be working there. I have never had to wait 45 min or longer to do a very simple drug test anywhere in my life until today. And I have never seen someone so lazy as to where they could not update my information since I was already in their system. I only go to this place when it is mandated by a company. I am a nurse, so I understand that a physical, drug screen, a some labs are not simply a matter of checking my lungs, getting pee in a cup or blood in a tube. Having said that, I can not believe that I had to wait for EVERYTHING until they had time to do it all at once. I knew I had people ahead of me for a physical, but I watched the waiting room empty twice (people who were just getting labs or drug screens). After asking if I could at least do my drug screen because I REALLY had to go, they told me I was next....another 30 minute wait, and I lost it. The girl behind the desk treated me like I was an idiot who didn't understand how healthcare works, and said it would be 15 more minutes. Then I told her that as an ER nurse, 3 hours (yeah....3 hours!) was enough time to resuscitate someone, get a CT scan, XRAY, MRI, labs, and have them in the ICU. I don't normally freak out like that, but I knew I was going to give a urine sample, so I showed up there ready. A 3 hour wait was cruel. Easily could have had me on the list for a drug screen and then let me wait for the physical. The only reason I give them a 2 star rating is because once they got me back, everyone was fast and efficient. Lanaina (?) saves this facility, as well as my doctor, who moved so fast I forgot his name. Both were competent, friendly, and fast. If management reads this, a word of advice: Put people on the drug screen list in order of arrival, regardless of what else they need done. My experience was humiliating for two reasons. 1. Having to urinate that badly while sitting in a roomful of strangers and not knowing what was going on is abuse in my opinion. 2. My frustration reached such a high level that I felt forced to cause a scene to be heard. read more

The employees walk around as slow as possible, constantly going to the backroom to eat and talk loudly. I am here for the most simple test, seriously, I am her for a "fit test" for a respirator mask. 5 min tops. I was the third person to check in and people have gone before me that got here after me. I have been here over a freaking hour!!!!!! Unfortunately, this is the only place that my employer can get this test done! I took my wife here for a very painful work related muscle or back injury. They seem to lack a sense of urgency, as evidenced by the fact the front doors didn't open till 5 minutes after their scheduled operating hours. Interior lights weren't even on at 7:00 am. Once inside, the lady at the desk was friendly enough and gave us the paper work to complete. Once the paperwork was completed I had to stand at the counter for a bit waiting for her to finish her text message on her cell phone. Completely unprofessional in my opinion. We were eventually seen by a family nurse practitioner, who was very nice and professional. When we were finally done 4 hours later the paper work stated for my wife to return to work the same day. I thought it may have been a typo as the FNP knew my wife was in a great deal of pain and needed my assistance just walking from the car to the entrance. I went back in to check and found out it was not a typo, after several more minutes of waiting. The FNP finally came out to speak to me. I firmly but politely told her that my wife was not going back to work the same day regardless of what her recommendation was. She changed the paper work for her to return to work the following day. When it comes to work related injuries, it seems that they're more interested in what's best for the employer than the patient. I will give them one slight nod as far as the long wait time to finish the visit. There was a power surge while we were in the waiting room and it caused several reboots that were needed for the various medical equipment. My company uses Concentra also, when it's a work related injury. I will pay my co-pay and out of pocket to see my own medical center if I ever need any sort of attention. I went in to use the Urgent Care facility with an infected, swollen finger on a Wednesday around 11:30 am. The waiting room was packed, but I figured this would still be better than Renown, St. Mary's, or Northern Nevada ERs (Concentra is the only urgent care on my insurance list). The front desk staff was very helpful trying to figure out my crappy insurance and the waiting room was pleasant, even had coffee and tea available and several TVs. 45 minutes in the waiting room and I was called to the back room. Not bad considering my relatively minor complaint. I would expect to sit in an ER for 3 to 6 hours from previous experience. After I got into the treatment room I was offered bottled water and a snack while I waited for the Dr. About 5 minutes later the Dr. came in. Dr. Panicari assessed my finger, explained the infection and that he would have to cut into my finger to let the puss out and reduce the swelling. He seemed more concerned about hurting me when he cut my finger open than I was. The Dr. explained everything to me about the infection and what to do over the next couple of days. The nurse was just as pleasant and helpful and gave me all sorts of dressing for my finger. Two days later and the finger is doing great. Have a follow up appointment this morning to show off my healing finger. All things considered, a packed waiting room, crappy insurance to figure out, and a minor complaint, the wait was perfectly acceptable and the care (which really counts) was exceptional. read more
