Yeah the poor reviews make a lot of sense. I waited 2 hours for the practitioner, she looks at my arm for maybe 10 seconds, and tells me I have shingles despite having 0 other symptoms, 0 itchiness, and 0 blisters. It also looks absolutely nothing like shingles, I'm 24, and I'm vaccinated. I didn't catch her name but she was a bigger lady with curly hair, glasses, and lots of freckles. I would not recommend going here if she's the one who's seeing you, not if you want someone to take more than a few seconds to consider your health. I asked for a second opinion because I can't afford to pay another $170 to come back if it's not shingles, and they told me she was the only practitioner in today so I'd have to go to another urgent care and pay the fee again. I get that they see people all day long, but I gave them $170 and hours of my time only to be glazed over and dismissed in a matter of minutes, which is unacceptable when it comes to someone's health. I left still scared for my condition, while feeling very dismissed and overlooked. read more

Abismal !! Unfortunately due to an incident with a ladder, over the past few years I've spent a lot of quality time with a lot of different medical professionals (I'm ok), but this was my single worst experience! Ineeded to come here for a screening for a new job. I arrived with my paperwork a little before 10:00, knowing there it should only take 15 to 20 minutes. I was told there were 6 people ahead of me and it would be about 2 hours before they could see me. I could wait in the lobby or they could call me. I opted to have them call me. 2 hours later, I haven't heard anything, so I drive back over. I'm told that now there are still 3 people ahead of me. And it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours. They will call me. 2 hours later - nothing. I drive back and am told that there are still 3 people in front of me. They will call. At 2:45 the call and let me know they are ready for me. I arrive at 3:00 - NOW they give me an online form that I have to fill out. Initial screening takes about 15 minutes. Then I'm put in a room to wait for the doctor. The doctor doesn't show up until about 4:45! Initially he tries to argue that they really hadn't waste my time - based solely on the fact that I hadn't waited in their waiting room the entire day. After an awkward silence and stare down when I didn't agree, he started the exam that lasted less than 5 minutes. It was clearly obvious from the basic questions he asked - he had not read the medical history that I had been required to fill out. I'mnot angry just very frustrated - it is a pet peeve of mine when others waste my time without my consent. This is 7 hours of my life wasted that I'll never get back! read more

I have gone to Concentra for drug testing twice now and have always had a smooth experience. The girls at the front desk were always nice when checking me in. I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes to be seen and when being treated the nurses were incredibly nice and explained the whole process to me to allow me to feel comfortable. read more

I visited Concentra with a significant laceration on my hand. I was stitched up but despite my report of tingling in my pinkie, excruciating pain and limited movement of my pinkie and ring finger, I was not referred to a specialist day of injury. Eight days later, I finally was approved to see a hand specialist (workman's comp) who determined my ulnar nerve was lacerated. He got me in for surgery right away. I had every symptom of a lacerated ulnar nerve when I was brought to Concentra, but I had to push to see a specialist and it took 8 days for approval. The hand surgeon said I should have seen him sooner to increase my chance of recovery. Concentra NP grossly overlooked the seriousness of my injury and decreased my chances of a full recovery. read more

Signs are plastered everywhere warning of untolerated aggression of patients. So was quite dismayed when the MD at this location got defensive, short tempered and unprofessional with me when I asked questions. The MD incorrectly stated my BMI, then demanded I get a sleep study. Upon pressing her, she said if I lost 30--40 pounds meet BMI DOT cutoff I'd be exempt. However, I only needed to lose 3 lbs to make the cut off. Had I not researched the DOT requirements on my own, her inaccurate instructions could have cost me thousands out of pocket. The med assistants and front desk were super nice with whom the MD was also short with. read more

Hannah FPN is the only reason this place gets an ounce of respect from me. The assistant did not write down correctly my symptoms or experienced and after waiting for over half an hour during a recheck they wanted to send me to a specialist I did not need to see. Again - Hannah was amazing, and is a very kind hearted and kick but professional, able to laugh and communicate with an upset tired big man like me - but we were able to work together. Came here for an eye injury on the job. The medicine evaluation and total time was less than the time it was standing and waiting. - I came back for a recheck that was scheduled; and as I write this, I've been standing for over seventeen minutes - in a quite lobby with three others - still waiting to be checked in. - So clearly I don't feel my doctor took time to really discuss, and at the recheck, I'm still standing waiting. read more

My wife got injured on the job at Amazon. She was sent to this place and had to wait 4 hours. All the while her injury got worse and foot was swelling (due to a fracture). She had to go there otherwise no workman's comp. we went to ER later and complications could have been avoided if she went to ER right away. Im currently sitting in their waiting room going on hour 2 for my partner waiting to be seen. We waited about 45 minutes for her to get into a room and another thirty minutes went by when she was told the doctor had to go on a lunch and it would be ANOTHER 40 MINUTES ... they occasionally did the "can i get you a snack or something to drink" but it does nothing to change the fact they're just slow. From my partner texting me that she had to wait another forty mins for the doctor to get back from lunch they have stuffed about three other people into rooms to keep their waiting room looking empty. For something to take less than 5 minutes is now taking 2+ hours.. Zero stars, save yourself from your day being waisted. read more

Came in for a pre employment drug test. The staff were extremely rude. Filled out the forms and when handing them back in, was told "the website is down" and we can't take a sample. I then asked why they couldn't take my sample now with the order form I was told to print out and bring with me so they could lodge it into the website later and they became extremely rude. Was told they would call me when the website was back online. We'll see how long this takes. Also want to point out this facility has manual front doors, which means diseases can be communicated via touch. A proper urgent care (such as the nearby Providence Urgent Care) should have automatic doors. Stay away from this Mickey Mouse "for profit" facility. read more

One front desk agent was kind and helpful, but the other one was abrupt, unclear, and unhelpful. It was difficult to get her to acknowledge me and then I couldn't get clear information on what to do. Due to extra confusion about my forms, I was pushed far back in the line even though no one was there when I arrived. The MA (didn't catch the name, but the MA was a young man) was awesome and my blood draw was painless. Kudos to your MA but please make sure all customer service agents are up to par. read more

It's a very busy emergency facility.......so your always going to have a little wait, but I was in and out in an hour or less. Terrible service. The fat lady up front (director) very rude. I was there for 2 hours waiting for a UA test which take a few minutes.

If I could select no stars I would. I had to take a DOT physical so I could drive for work. After the Exam they wanted my doctor to do some additional tests to make sure I was good. Did that. I had my physician's office fax over the paperwork 3 times over the course of 2 months. I called end of July and the front desk said they finally received it and that the doctor was out of town until the following week and said she'll make sure he gets to that stack of DOTs he needs to get to. Monday comes, no phone call, nothing. I call again on Tuesday and the front desk says, I'll bump your paperwork to the front of the stack. Well it's the end of august my temporary DOT license has expired and still NOTHING from them. Imagine needing a heart transplant and Concentra is dragging their feet through the process and you die because they're either lazy or just don't care about their patients...I wonder how many other drivers are still waiting to be cleared. Literally has been months annnnnnd NOTHING. read more

There are so many things going wrong here. If you need more than a UA/drug test, expect to wait 3-4 hours even if you're here waiting a half hour before they open. They are quite possibly the slowest healthcare professionals I've ever encountered. They've attempted to buffer their slowness with complimentary water and pretzels, but nothing can make waiting 4 hours for a couple SIMPLE tests. NOTHING. These places need to STAFF UP in order to accommodate the HUGE number of patients. It's honestly so infuriating. I've had to go here to get labs done for contract work every time is terrible. I get here long before they open and still stuck here for HOURS. Be prepared for the longest wait unless you need just a UA. read more

She's not sympathetic at all her "good vibes " are fake and she just puts on a fake personality when her bosses or anyone more important than her shows . She doesn't own up to her faults but blames other for chaos and environment she created . I used to love my job , but when she came she made it horrible for me. Making me not even want to show anymore she blamed me for bullying other colleagues into quitting. No honey we all adults and if people choose to leave its because of the toxic environment you narcissistic created. Karima knows not enough about the Company or it's policy's. If you have a choice go somewhere else other than the Tanasbourne location. I've used this location in the past and been pleased, but something has changed with the staffing at this location. I called three times and left messages requesting information about getting a CDL physical. None of my voice mails were returned. So I showed up at 405pm. I was rudely told they can't schedule a physical after 4pm. No apology for not returning my calls. Essentially they said I was a liar and that they always return calls at the end of the day. The front desk staff acted like they could care less about customer service. Hopefully the medical staff isn't of the same attitude. I rarely give bad reviews, but this really left a bad taste, especially after my prior good experiences. read more

Office staff very friendly. Javier, MA also friendly but it was hard to crack a smile with him. Facility is very clean. Drug screens seem to be priority. I could hear other patients and staff talking in the hallways near my room (exam 2). I had symptoms of your common cold mixed with flu-like symptoms. I did not expect to be seen right away but it took 45 minutes for me to be seen by the PA-C for ten minutes. I checked in at 11:26am and finally left at 12:28pm. She was friendly but not worth the wait time and only seeing her for ten minutes. A huge plus if you go in with your paperwork filled out. Their forms are available on their website. I will not be returning unless I absolutely have no other options and nothing on my schedule for a few hours. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE BY ALL MEANS. From the first phone call this place was horrible. I called to set an appointment and whoever answered the phone was hurried, rude, and hung up on me. I called back a second time and was able to get the appointment after a lot of rude replies and she promptly hung up on me again after saying the time once. I was in the middle of talking... I get there and as soon as you open the door to walk in they roll their eyes, and give snotty looks. It was obvious that I was a pure annoyance, an obligation that distrubed their gossip session. After waiting several minutes at the desk one girl finally comes over and "checks me in" which includes paperwork being thrown at you, literally, and someone purely ignoring you. The doctor that came in... wow. He was a bit mousy and beyond rude. He did not want to touch me and examine the injured area at all. He was extremely dismissive and curt. Checkout time was a blast. It's interesting to see all of the staff completely ignoring you as they instead sit on the desks, with their backs to you, and ignore you. They may glance over a few times. But, the talking doesn't end. I waited in the checkout area for almost 30 minutes. Finally, a girl starts checking me out and then someone in the back office called her (a manager, could it be?!) to go back there so they could gossip some more (we could hear everything). It was astonishing. Believe me - avoid this place if you can. My job sent me here and I've voiced my concerns. No one else will go there from my job. Terrible, terrible place. Oh and the icing on the cake - I was the ONLY customer at the time.... My appointment took over 2 hours for something that could've taken 30 minutes. read more

I was withholding judgement as long as I could, but my review request just popped up for yelp so here we go. -ahem- I went to Concentra Urgent Care on a Tuesday morning, right when they opened. I called ahead of time to see if I needed an appointment, to put my name down, or just show up. The lady was very cheery and I felt like if I just popped in then I would be seen. I was very sick, shallow breathing, painful breathing, sore everywhere, nausea, basically you name it, I felt it. So to me, this would be a flashing light of ILL patient. I got to the building, signed in, filled out all the highlighted areas that pretty much mark me as needed to be seen urgent. I brought the clipboard back up and was told I would need to wait about an hour because there were about 8 people in front of me for work drug screens and physcials. HOLD ON. I'm having chest pains and i'm being pushed aside for a DRUG TEST!? Is this, or is this not an URGENT CARE facility!? Luckily I really only had to wait 15 min before the nurse called me back. She asked me basic questions and took my vitals. She left the room and when she came back, I was dry heaving in the garbage, getting ready to faint on the floor because of my light headedness. The doctor came in, very stand offish and told me they could treat me. He asked me some more questions, one of the symptoms the nurse had written down I didn't have, nor had I said I did. the doctor left, and a bit later the nurse came back to take me for chest x rays. I was having a hard time walking because I was feeling faint and my body was in pain. X rays went fine, then back to the room. Another amount of time waiting for the doctor, then he came back and told me what I had. He didn't tell me any information about it, not how to treat it other than pain meds, nada. I asked him about how long my dry heaving would last. he asked me why I hadn't said that symptom on my form. I told him the nurse had walked in and I was over the garbage, do they not talk to each other? Are my progressing symptoms not being communicated? This made me question what he had diagnosed me with. Long story short, I question the process of medicine at this facility. I'm sure the staff is knowledgeable, but the lack of communication is very unsettling. Also, Urgent Care comes first. Not a drug screen. I will probably not come back to this center, if I ever need in the future, I will try another place. read more

My mom had a 3 PM appointment. She arrived 10 minutes early, and left work early for the sole purpose of this appointment. They left her waiting for over an hour with no reason or supplemental information as to why her appointment was not starting on time. They do not honor appointments and entertain walk-ins, so even those WITH an appointment are waiting and waiting for what seems to be hours. She has had multiple appointments here and it is always the same scenario. VERY bad health service here. read more

Don't go here. You have other choices for Worker's Comp, for Occupational Med -try the Providence system. I was referred here -WC case- concussion. Attending Dr Baldwin - Initial exam -staff tell me to allow for comprehensive exam 1-1.5 hours Actual exam with Dr. less than 10 minutes- no physical exam or notations of bruises, contusions on my knees, arm, never touched my head to feel for lump. I have pictures, he was too busy practicing a terrible standup improv routine to do his job. I work in healthcare and know what an assessment should look like- this wasn't even close. My brain was too scrambled to identify other options. Many local Dr's won't accept worker comp situations now , so most are referred to "Occupational Clinics." Worker's Comp bill payers... you may want to check up on how much time is actually billed by this guy. His prescription for my concussion: pretend you don't have one, keep doing everything you've always done. I had a headache and nausea for 6 weeks, slurred speech, word finding difficulties, and more. Finally, a friend, who is an experienced physical therapist, noticed my imbalance and eye movement, and strongly suggested I ask for a referral to a neuro-optometrist. Dr B was happy to refer. Left eye not tracking like R due to concussion- many other symptoms- back to report to Dr B- his response in the midst of his continued awful and disrespectful stand up routine... "gee -joke , joke, guess there is something wrong with you..." I'm finally with a Brain specialist, who is now my attending physician, and am receiving actual TX . Now, five months after my fall- needing to reduce work hours because I didn't have appropriate TX (treatment) I.e. Rest, reduce stimulus , special glasses with prisms, etc, at the onset. This Dr is not only negligent, but is incompetent. If you go here, be prepared to ask for tests, assessments, and treatment . He offers nothing. Seriously, for your own sake- go somewhere else. read more

I came here to see a provider with the urgent care center and would never go back. I arrived just after they opened for what I suspected (and later confirmed) was strep throat. There was no one waiting when I signed in so I was happy and thought I would not have to wait long. The front desk told me to expect an hour and a half total time there which was not ideal, but tolerable. The guy who was supposed to be entering my information in their system seemed more concerned with joking around with his coworkers than doing his job. I was taken back after about an hour to a room where a nurse saw me and said the doctor would be in in about 20 min. A half hour later she came back and said I should be next as he was in the room next to me. About 15 minutes later a different nurse came in to say the doctor was running really late and I would have wait another hour. I told her the front desk and other RN had said something different and she advised me they were incorrect. I asked if I could leave and go over to the Starbucks and come back in an hour and they said ok. However I saw there was a Zoom Care right next to Starbucks and was able to get in within 15 minutes, where they diagnosed me, billed my insurance (they were much cheaper than urgent care) and had the needed prescription on site. I highly suggest staying away from this urgent care and crossing the street to Zoom Care! read more

There are extremely mixed reports on when this place is open. It says on their phone that it's open saturday. It says on some websites it's open saturday and sunday. It says on the actual concentra website that it's open monday through friday. I went there on Saturday and they were locked up tight. Extremely pissed. We came in for a workplace exposure and the waiting room wasn't busy but we waited for more than an hour. Then the doctor comes in and hastily jokes around about how I have nothing to worry about and doesn't even ask if I have any questions. After doing a rapid test was negative I was again hurried out of the facility. It's a nice facility but could definitely use some improvement on quality patient care. read more

I went here today for a drug test/medical evaluation for TSA. My apt. was set for 0915 but I came a bit early at 0840.. I was checked in right away and the nurse took me back just 10min after waiting.. I feel as if I got first class service here and the professionalism and down to earth assistants really brightened my morning. I went through a hearing test, eye test, color tests, and my nurse was really funny and positive. :) She was also pretty fast with her processes and they double check their work to make sure everything is correct and accurate. She offered me granola bars and apple juice while I waited. The doctor was apparently filling in and I swear his voice sounded like brad pit.. I told him that too. LOL. Best experience ive had at a doctors office/clinic :) P.S the entire process took about an hour. My nurse also mentioned she was pregnant... GIVE HER A RAISE! xoxo read more

The front office staff were fine. All i needed was a DOT physical to get back driving a semi, after 2 months of healing from fractured ankle. A specialist had cleared me on that , at different place. The so called doctor, a russian woman who barely spoke english , would not sign off on my physical, which i passed. She said ", you no can go work cuz you are only light duty. It meen , you no can go work full time". what an idiot! I've known other folks who've worked 60 hours light duty. My employer is having to locate different clinic for me . I'm being asked to come back next time, or they're going to refund the copay. Staff are not aware of any protocols. They're statements are consistently different from one another. I guess i'd recommend going elsewhere.... update after 2 weeks later: i received an EOB from my insurance. Apparently Concentra (even tho I didn't get to see a doctor) billed my insurance. Got here at 7:08...they opened at 7am. Signed in at 7:10. Okay. They have new system I finally got checked in at 7:45. It's 7:50 and I still don't have my insurance card or ID back. Finally went through the door at 7:51. They had to fill out the paperwork by hand. My insurance company had better get billed correctly. Not your normal urgent care visit. Shy, less experienced someone/med aid who asked a health history form question by question. Doc came in. Went over questions again. Medical aid person knocked 3 min later and interrupted us. I was never given an opening to speak in full sentences. Had to butt in. Talked through me and down to me. After waiting for prescriptions forever the aid comes in and tells me I'm done and can go. I still had questions for doctor...was expecting to see him again. Got put back in room. Talked to doctor, he went to go check on med interactions for me as I was pretty sure I couldn't take it and wanted to check. Waiting. Another woman came to tell me I'm all set. Asked if she had my answer and she just looked at me--had no idea I was waiting for the doctor. Said she would go check. The doctor informed me that there was NO interaction. Told me to wait and a nurse will discharge me. Told him they know I'm done as they've tried to discharge me twice already. He led me down the hall and ask for me to be discharged. I won't be coming back. Felt like a waste of time. Mostly waiting for the check in system to work. AND, actually there IS an interaction between the medicines. Google shows the interaction, my pharmacist told me about it, as did my primary care, and the nurse hotline on the back of my insurance card. read more
