Avoid this location I've waited 3 hours for a drug screening and physical. The doctor is 100 years old and can barley walk.

I saw my new Providence Dr. , well her PA, two weeks ago when I was four weeks in to whatever this thing is I have ( lets call it GI distress) and they prescribed Prilosec and said it was heartburn. They also told me to call back if it got worse. Week and a half on Prilosec and bland foods. ( no coffeeeeeeee). It got worse. I spent a whole day calling the dr, to be told to go to urgent care bc they could do ultrasound, IV fluids, bloodwork. That was at 5pm on Thursday. I had to work until 7. Urgent care closes at 6:30 to new patients. I am all out of sick leave/PTO so I waited until Friday am. I had already been suffering this long, right??¯\_(ツ)_/¯ They do let you reserve a time in the middle of the night before they open at 7. I had a rough nite. Set my time at 8:44. They send you text updates about wait times. You have to arrive 10 min ahead where they screen you at the " gate" for Covid. Because I have seasonal allergies aka runny nose they had a nurse call me outside and ask all the usual questions they ask in the exam room. Good for Covid precautions bad for HIPAA . I was too far from my car to go back and forth which I think they expect you to do so you have privacy. I sat out front to talk to the nurse on my cell. What if you have no cell? Also, what if you have no car? After that, I got in fast. My copay is $30. The Dr. was nice. She gave me a special yellow paper to go to the ER ( another review) where after a two hour wait ( with several other people with special yellow papers and three other Janets!) they gave me IV fluids, did bloodwork, and I had an ultrasound. I spent 6 hours in the ER. Maybe urgent care isnt doing those things anymore? But it was a long day. I wound up with antibiotics and few answers. Sigh. Providence is not bad, but this day was not good.

Dr Mehdi immediately was dismissive of my complaints, came into the room conducted a physical exam which consisted of listening to my heart & breathing through my sweatshirt and feeling the lymph nodes in my neck. He did not look in my ears or throat. He proclaimed that I had a cold and wanted to send me home. He also denied the order of the flu test saying "we haven't seen any flu". I asked to see another physician for a more thorough exam to which I was denied. They sent in a nurse manager who explained that I cannot see another doctor and Dr Mehdi said I needed to go elsewhere. I spoke to her for 30 minutes and begged her to run my flu test and to see another physician. They eventually ran my flu test but denied me a more thorough exam. Dr Mehdi also denied a CBC (blood test) and said I'd have to order that on my own elsewhere. I immediately went to seek care from another medical facility which I was provided adequate care and was diagnosed with STREP group A & prescribed antibiotics within 20 minutes of the exam which included looking at my ears nose and throat. Be warned. Dr Medhi is an incredibly arrogant and pompous physician. He is more concerned with being correct than doing his job. What type of physician denies a flu test? Look no further than the reviews here. I wasn't the first patient he missed the diagnosis of.

But she was so great throughout the whole night with my daughter and even gave her a brown bear at the end with a splint and cast on the same arm my daughter left with one. Ded. Dr Washington you were also very kind and thank you for doing your best to put the broken bones into place. We had a long visit but the care was superb so 5 stars to the whole staff. So so impressed and made the emergency visit less painful. Also note to the world- monkey bars are horrible and I shake both my fists at them.

Express care is less expensive than an urgent care and was just a copay on my insurance. I was told that they deal with less urgent matters and are comprised primarily of physician assistants and nurse practitioners as opposed to doctors. They do not have a lab and do not do UTI testing here (you must go to a stand alone clinic- not an express care inside a Walgreens). I believe my PA's name was Kyle. He and the medical assistant were so friendly and nice! They were able to flush my ear out and I was able to finally hear again! The only downside to the clinic is that it is a little small, so small that you might miss it. It is located to the right of the pharmacy. There is a tiny waiting area of about 4-5 chairs outside two exam rooms. I was just glad there is an alternative to urgent care where you have to sit in a waiting area full of sick people. Here you can schedule your exam ahead of time online and get in and out a lot quicker!

A little after 8PM my husband finally was able to talk to the provider who told him that their appt. system was down, and now that it was after 8PM they were closed and we'd need to reschedule her appt. What? Even if the system was down, it was obvious that they'd been sitting in the waiting area for over 30 mins. Disappointed and frustrated.

My review however is based on what followed afterwards. The main provider promised me a phone call that evening because the wait time to review x rays would be a while. I told her she could leave me a voicemail if she'd like but she earnestly reassured me that she would like a phone call to discuss my chest congestion and x rays and that she'd most likely prescribe me some antibiotics to help since it's been forever and my breathing was concerning to her. She never called. The next day I called the clinic to tell them about the situation and the receptionist on the following day was quite rude and short though I was being very kind and grounded about it and I was just asking for a solution. He kept avoiding giving me something actionable so I asked more follow up questions asking for action and we ended the call with him saying that he doesn't know he wasn't there but that he'd write a note for the shift provider and the provider I saw It's been two days now and still crickets. This happened last year so things may have changed and walk ins might be welcome now. I wish that I could have reached the receptionist to confirm before we made the drive, the automated system made this impossible. I hope this is helpful to anyone who needs last minute care. As for the care provided here I cannot speak to that because we didn't receive care here. So perhaps look to reviews of those who have received care at this location. Also I want to clarify the way the clinic is structured is not the receptionists fault, she is merely employed by this clinic. It would be wise to structure more flexibility for care options and walk ins in certain cases. I hope this helps someone.
