I have been excited to try Conch Heaven for a while. I finally ordered 3 entrees and an appetizer online. When I went to pickup the food, it wasn't ready and the lady looked at me confused when I gave her my name and said I was there for a pickup order. She then asked me if I ordered online and I told her I did. She proceeded to roll her eyes and tell me "that's why". She then told me that when you order online, they don't get notified so you need to call. But she spoke to me as if this was somehow my fault for ordering online and not calling in. It was by far the best I have tasted, Next I tried the red beans and rice. Very flavorful - a must try. Now for the reason I chose this place, the conch. I have never had 'grilled' conch before. Ok so I been craving conch and did not feel like driving all the way to Miami to get some good quality conch...well Broward look no further I found them...I didn't even make it out of the parking lot and went back to order another one..if you know anything about Conch Heaven in Miami it's the same one different location...I got the scorched conch and conch salad...I haven't made it home yet to try the conch salad but let me tell you how fresh tender and flavorful the scorched conch was and the onion mannnnnnnn..so worth the drive so worth the money so worth the wait..the lady and gentleman that was there was super nice very kind and just an all around good vibe. Only problem is the amount of conch in each conch fritter. You get 1-2 little bits of conch per fritter, which is ridiculous. Conch fritters should have more CONCH than batter. So I'm familiar with the original conch heaven in Miami with Goldie. I paid $14.00 for a conch salad that was full of tomatoes and hardly any conch. It lacked flavor and seasoning I had to dress it up with salt and my own seasonings. The potato salad was bland and lacked flavor. We ordered fried shrimp, fried conch, conch salad and fish. The shrimp was good everything else was bad. The fish tasted old and the conch salad was more "salad" with very little conch. The side orders were not fresh, slightly burned and seemed reheated. South Florida has so many other Bahamian restaurants and food trucks.
