Excellent food, excellent service, excellent location. Near the back of the restaurant (at the pier), there's an area where you can feed the mass amounts of catfish that hang out in the river. One waitress brought us a frisbee (a bribe for our kid), and our actual waitress brought a big bag of popcorn so our kid could feed the catfish. My husband ordered the coconut shrimp and said it was a little more sweet than expected but overall good. I had the fried mahi-mahi, which was a very fresh, innovative departure from traditional fried fish. It was excellent. I'm a salt addict so for me the salt shakers were nothing short of obnoxious to operate (they were like cute little grenades and you had to hold down the lever part to open the lid and shake salt out). Also, I wanted two t-shirts, which I got, but I wanted a yellow one and the hostess gave me blue (oh well), and I wanted a different shirt for my kid and got one that I didn't think I asked for but whatever. I was excited about this place because they had stone crabs. I called to confirm and the lady on the phone said that not only did they have stone crabs but that they had jumbos. When I get there and ask for jumbo stone crabs my waitress said they didn't have jumbos just the small stone crabs. I told her I called and spoke to a woman that answered the phone then she said that the girl who answers the phone is new and in training so I ordered the stone crab dinner. It was not bad but the stone crabs were small. It took the waitress sometime to get back to my table to request mustard sauce instead of butter sauce when one of the servers delivered my food. When I finally saw her poor girl dropped her serving tray with all this food on it all over the floor. What a mess. I don't think she was very experienced but she was very nice. The band was absolutely fantastic. Can't remember the name but they had 2 horns, bass, drummer, and a multi-talented musician singing, playing some pretty damn good guitar, while mixing it up with a synthesizer. If i could give a negative I would. Quality of food has decreased significantly over the last few months. Service is sketchy at best. Took 30 mins for drinks another 30 for appetizers. And 45 mins for main course. I hope that they get a new GM or the GM notices the declinr or this will not sustain the new build. read more

Just came back after almost 20 years, on a visit to Hutchinson Island. It's exactly the same as we remembered it was minus the construction prep happening outside. The menu had plenty of offerings. The New England Clam Chowder is FANTASTIC! Creamy, thick and Has nice clams and potatoes. I didn't think the conch burgers were great, though. Ok, not great. Conch fritters were good but I've had better. The fish tacos were good. The ambiance of the place though is really spectacular, being waterfront. It's fun and We would return again. read more

My husband has always driven by this restaurant, last month he mention he wanted to come here, so for our date night we have every month we made it happen.Place was so neat looking, bathroom clean and stock, the server Adrian was fantastic and very helpful with the menu since none of us had been there before.My Mai Mai entrée was excellent, delicious,my husband had the coconut shrimp and the clam chowder and he loved it, my friend had chicken and her better half had the burger, everything was perfect for her Birthday dinner. We all had drink and they were made perfect no issues. We will be back for sure. We found one of our 3 favorite spots to eat with family and friends. Really good food and a nice assortment of choices in case seafood isn't your thing. The view is amazing and it's so much fun sitting on the water feeling the ocean breeze. We've only eaten here at lunch time so I can't say what the dinner rush might be like but we've never had any issues getting a waterfront table at lunch. read more

My family and I were traveling down from Orlando and wanted to have a waterside lunch. I googled a few restaurants and decided on Conchy Joe's. It is located on the Indian River in Jensen Beach, FL. We wanted a very laid back vibe for lunch and boy did we hit the nail on the head. This place was perfect. Although they have a ton on construction going on, the outside patio and inside are still open for business. Also, the noise level was pretty low. Since we got there in time we ordered a few things off the Happy Hour menu to start. Instead of ordering off the kid's menu, our daughter wanted the bacon wrapped footlong off the happy hour menu for $6. My husband and I got 1/2 Dozen clams. They were 6 for $4.50 and the platter of steamed mussels pictured for $7. Certain drinks were buy one get one so we took advantage of that. My wine glass was almost full to the brim. Before any food came out we were given delicious corn bread and banana bread to snack on. Then we ordered 1/2 lb of peel and eat shrimp, a dozen oysters, and I got a bowl of the New England clam chowder. My husband and I are both from NY and have had many chowders all over the North East. We are pretty tough critics about our chowder. This one was amazing. Super hearty and delicious! Everything we ordered was perfect and to top it off we got a peanut butter pie. It was heaven. Yum! My husband and I were both born and raised in this area and always want to support our local spots. We know Conchys has been undergoing some renovations so we thought we'd give it a try again. In the past, the food has always been mediocre. Last night was no exception. My fried fresh catch was completely burnt on the outside and gooey on the inside and everything else was just ok. This would have been doable had it not been so outrageously expensive. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere and location can't be beat. But with all the other renovations going on, I just can't understand why they don't renovate the kitchen. read more

We Loved the scenery. Just make sure when you ask for a table they place you where the band is at. Apparently they sat us where the happy hour wasn't allowed but both tables next to us has a different waitress and they received the happy hour special even though they were in the area where happy hour is not allowed. The food was okay but a little over priced but it was okay. We have a seafood company so we know what market price is and this is a little over priced. Try the scallops over seafood risotto. You won't be disappointed. I wasn't super fond of the cracked conch. The burger is decent. But the seafood and smothered chicken is amazing. Drinks are not served the fastest, but there are so many people drinking and not enough bartenders. But even with the things that could be improved, it is still my favorite place to go. Period. Duane was my server and I was honestly blown away. such a personable young man, made me and my family feel like we were life long friends. He stayed engaged with us the whole time and made us really feel welcomed, gave outstanding recommendations! we all got a family feast and all got key lime pie , with conch chowder. As far as drinks he nailed that too, I was skeptical of the "big conch" but after his recommendations that's me and my hubby's favorite. Unfortunately, the order did not correctly include modifications (such as they did not follow our request to remove the cabbage)- but this is the only reason for the 4 stars.. the food was otherwise delicious!! I'm the guy who eats everything and doesn't complain. But when I went here for the first time after hearing so much about it, the alligator bites were 90% breading and 10% meat. The conch salad was flavorless. Instead of citrus it just tasted like water., the bang bang shrimp was flavorless, and the conch sliders were flavorless. I thought I might have COVID because there was no flavor. The chef used no seasoning. I can't express enough how disappointed I am. How can you get this so wrong? Wish I took a picture of the tiny strand I took out of the alligator bite. A mountain of breading and a piece of meat no bigger than a McDonald's french fry in the middle.
