Went to the newly remodeled Conchy Joe's recently and had a great night. Band under the Tiki room bar, Joe's quiet bar out front was full so we settled for the back room bar and had a great bartender. Kate was helpful with drinks and menu info but was especially hospitable with convo new drinks on the bar menu and she was truly busy and still took great care of us. They have 4 bar areas and plenty of parking and a nice loaded menu. We especially liked the hospitality we received. Great job Kate and crew at Conchy Joe's! read more

Bay shrimps on the Shrimp Po'boy in Florida... wtf? Shrimp Stack with bay shrimp? Very disappointing overall. Not going back for food.

Some very unique dishes, from alligator bites to Conch related options like soups and some entree options. Very large place with plenty of seating and live bands constantly playing. Nice outdoor fire pit area and overall welcoming atmosphere. Most dishes were reasonably priced and good tasting but some could use more flavor like shrimp with risotto. Service is attentive and knowledgeable and their signature soup made from conch is a must try! Definitely hope to be back on our next trip to FL! read more

Absolutely Egregious! I am appalled at the experience we had during our dinner at Conchy Joe's. Reservations were made for 6:45pm and we arrived at 6:25pm to check in and see the crab race. At 7pm we inquired about our Reservation and were told that our table still had a group sitting there. We were finally seated at 7:15pm. We had a party of 5 adults and two young children (4 & 8 years old). We all looked over the menu and waited to see who would be serving us. After about ten minutes of waiting, a young waitress came over to take our drink and appetizer order. She then left and came back about 12 minutes later to bring us water and then said she'd return with the bar drinks. It took another 10 minutes before the two Key Lime Martini's and two diet coke's arrived. The martini had a pineapple flavor and wasn't great at $14 each. The appetizers arrived about 15 minutes later. The real disaster occurred during dinner service. When the food arrived, the filet minion was overcooked, yellow snapper with mango plantains was cold and not the right fish (salmon was given instead), and two dishes were missing. When they returned with the dishes, one of them was missing the salad that never came. I asked the waitress if my food could be heated because it came out cold and I asked for the Snapper and she apologized and said okay. We'll let's just say that about 35 minutes later she showed up with the side of mango plantains and said they were still working on the fish. I then asked her to speak to a manager. She said she would send one over. About 10 minutes later she returns with an apology stating that the managers were ignoring her and locked themselves in the office! We were all stunned! She felt so bad that she took the $42 snapper off the bill. However, it was so late when my snapper finally arrived looking beat up! Let's just say, we won't be returning or recommending this place to anyone. Shame on Management for their lack of engagement and professionalism in supporting their staff and customers. read more

Wish I had checked reviews before I went....been there years ago and remember fantastic meals at a reasonable price. Well things have changed. Took quite a bit of time for a server to come over to table. Ordered a glass from their wine list.....the server came back 5 min later to say they were out...no big deal ordered a beer...oysters were the highlight as they were good...after that I might have gone to Long John Silvers for the fish....although "fresh" way over done. Perhaps the fish was cooked properly, it was clear it sat under the warmer for an extended amount of time. We took a chance on the "authentic" Key Lime Pie....not even close...vanilla ice cream with a touch of lime in a graham cracker crust. this place is obviously in trouble. as the food quality is well below average. if only they paid the same amount of attention to their food as they do to selling t-shirts read more

My only issue was one on the servers was using Gain laundry detergent/ fabric softner and it was so strong and caused an asthma attack for me. This establishment really has upped its appeal. In a nutshell, they renovated parking, improved the facility immensely, have live music and the food is great. Their happy hour is also fantastic. But what separates this place are the waitstaff and bartenders. We had Lennox as our waiter today, and he simply was over the top awesome. We thought his new name should be Flash, because no sooner than we asked for something, he would bring it to us. He had tables in different spots, but it always felt as if he was our personal waiter. So between the great atmosphere, the excellent food and amazing service, we have to get back there soon because it was so exceptional. Easily our favorite meal... This place is such a local favorite. Once again waterfront dining with a great view this time. On the weekends around here you must make reservations several hours in advance for dinner. For our appetizers we shared those PEI steamed mussels and conch fritters. Those mussels were OUTSTANDING. Yes I used all caps. :) Our server Taylor did a great job checking up on our table on a pretty busy night. Our entrees were for her, off the fresh catch menu called sheepshead with a sweet potato crust and mango plantains. It's a very mild fish. I chose the shrimp over scallops risotto. Dinner portions are very hearty. Our dessert was a pineapple rum cake. Gotta mention that they have live music on the weekends. This place has a full bar menu. Was there around 5hrs ago. Drove up from WPB conch fritters had no flavor . Raw oysters came out with a little cocktail sauce , no horseradish . Conch ceviche was not good no lime juice . Took longer to get our drinks than it took to get appetizers . Waitress had a bad attitude and we found out she never even put our food order in after 45 minutes. We canceled and left. We have eaten there before and it was great but after this never coming back. Bye the way we still left her a half way decent tip. 45 mile drive for a huge disappointment. So here we are in beautiful Port st Lucie, enjoying Florida Christmas and we drive to Jensen Beach. We walk by Conchy Joe's and say, why not? The ambiance is that of Key West, with a St Augustine vibe. The restaurant itself is surprisingly larger than it looks with beautiful views all the way around. Great parking. Jailene, our server was AWESOME! She is a breath of fresh air, bubbly, super friendly and all around nice person. In my opinion, Jailene went well above your normal server, making us feel as if we were in our house. She started off by welcoming us and explaining the menu. We opted on conch fritters and conch ceviche for starters. The ceviche was full of conch, albeit lacking a bit of flavor. Maybe a little more time to marinate and tenderize a bit more. The fritters were delicious! Perfect consistency, light and airy, just the right size. The aioli was also spot on. Oh! Almost forgot about the warm cornbread! Guys, this was melt in your mouth,lick your fingers and scoop up the crumbs good! Not overly sweet, or dense, that in itself could've been the appetizer! Ok, now on to the main course. I had the seafood bouillabaisse (chefs special this week) chock full of shrimp, clams,oysters, fish. The stock wasn't overly tomatoey :). Again, my personal preference is for a bit more seasoning, but it was still pick up the plate and slurp it down good. The wife had a grilled Mahi sandwich. These folks boast about their fish being fresh (36hrs from boat to table) and they didn't disappoint. The Mahi didnt have that flash frozen, thawed aftertaste. It was grilled perfectly, again, it was just a bit underseasoned for our taste. The wine continued to flow throughout this delicious meal (Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio). We capped off the night with a molten lava chocolate cake dessert with French vanilla ice cream.(real ice cream, not ice milk!). The sun was setting over the Indian River as we polished off the last of our Pinot Grigio and our molten chocolate cake. A fitting end to a fantastic evening and a delicious meal. We will definitely be coming back here again and bringing anyone we can drag with us. read more

I visited Conchy Joe's for a late dinner on Thursday while visiting family in PSL. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Thursday nights are Reggae nights, so we were able to enjoy a lovely reggae band while enjoying our food. We asked to be seated by the water, and they happily obliged. The view of the pier/desk and the water was beautiful. The restaurant's decor fits the name; it feels very seaside crab shack. Our server, Chelsea, was amazing. She was funny, attentive, and gave suggestions as it was our first time visiting the restaurant. My husband has a shellfish allergy, and she assured us that there would still be plenty to eat and that she would let the chef know to avoid cross-contamination. The drinks were refreshing. My husband enjoyed a Blue Moon, and I enjoyed a Patron margarita. We had fried calamari to start with, which was okay. The portion size was small, and it was not amazing, but not terrible either. The garlic aioli it was served with really saved it. For entrees, my husband had a chicken sandwich, and I ordered the Dungeness crab. My husband said it was just okay, and I enjoyed my crab legs. The key lime pie was delicious and fresh, and a reason to go there all by itself! The highlight of the night was being attacked by a palmetto bug, LOL! This hidden seafood joint is as local as it gets. Stunning views of the St. Lucie River from a tucked away location. The service is excellent and has the real deal seafood house atmosphere. The food is hit or miss as we found there to be a lack of seasoning in a few dishes. The Clam Chowder however might be a the best I've had with amazing flavor. My Fresh catch was good but the mashed potatoes tasted a bit old. The Sautéed Seafood Trinidad was delicious with a lick the bowl clean sauce. The Conch Fritters could have been a bit crisper for my taste but the portion was huge so it's a great starter for a group. If your in Jensen Beach definitely worth a stop read more

Overprice food, decent drinks. Came here on a Thursday night, and sat at the bar. Took a while for bartenders to notice me whenever I wanted something. Ordered the Snapper and Shrimp Vera Cruz off the bartender's recommendation, which was utterly meh. The shrimp was good, but the rest tasted almost like it was frozen and then reheated. The drinks tasted good, but were overpriced, and seemed almost watered down. Conch is one of my absolute favorite foods, but I only get to enjoy it in Florida or the Caribbean. My mother suggested that my husband and I try Conchy Joe's on our recent visit, because she loves it. We are so thankful that she recommended it! We went to this amazing restaurant twice during our stay. The alligator bits, conch fritters, conch chowder, clam chowder, conch stuffed shrimp, and snapper and crab cake special were all perfect! Our top drinks were the Big Conch and Tropical Lemonade cocktails! Even the rum cake dessert was to die for. The staff is very friendly and always had great recommendations to share. We really loved the ambiance and decorations. Such an island vibe. There was love music one day and reggae music was playing over the speakers the second time we went. Went for an early dinner as it can get very crowded and going at 4ish, there is no wait. We sat near the water inside. The pier provides a nice view with seabirds and the water. I tried Kingclip for the first time. Blackened on top of a salad that came with romaine, pears, watermelon radishes, and onions. Paired with a creamy poppy dressing, it was a large meal for a salad. The Sauvignon Blanc was not fantastic, and I hope they provide other options in the future. The place is expanding, I look forward to returning. read more

So I thought I'd see what the deal was at the new Conchy Joes. Beautiful outdoor bar. Same problem with the bartenders. Worst bartenders in Jensen.. I sat at the new bar. Only nine people at this big bar. I sat.....and sat.....a guy was standing next to me trying to get a beer. The bartender, a guy with a beard, walked around the bar three times ignoring us until the guy finally said "can I order". The guy w the beard poured two draft beers the guy paid, and walked away. The bartender ignored me standing right next him. I said "can I order a Miller Lite?" The bartender walked out from the bar and left. I waited........ I saw a waitress and asked her if she could pour a beer. She got visibly mad. But I did get a beer. No one cleaned the spot I was in. I had to clean it with a happy hour menu. The bartender returns. I had to flag him down to order food. The bar is still the weakest link in this restaurant. Beautiful view. New bar. But same old bad service. My last time at Conchy Joes. Free valet parking (and tons of parking close by), good food, and friendly staff. Best part is the ambiance! We got a table directly overlooking the water, and the other side of our view was literally a forest. Best table in the house! Lots of different types of dishes to choose from. I got one of the seasonal specials--Cuban Ropa Vieja. It wasn't authentic, but it was still good. The risotto was AMAZING! Tasted like the best Mac & Cheese I've ever had, but better. They are currently expanding their pier and also opening another restaurant just across the road under a different name. We are beyond excited! Love Conchy Joe's, but last week we brought friends from NY and I was embarrassed. Server recommended the Stone Crab, then came back and said they didn't have any, next ordered Baked Clams, they brought Oysters, next my wife ordered Fried Shrimp, they brought Fish Tacos, next got the bill and was charged extra for Mashed Potatoes and we realized we never received the Mashed Potatoes. They need to get their act together, this many errors in one meal is unacceptable! read more
