I waited way to long to share this. I have lived a life of hair envy. I have plenty of hair, but it is fine and has never been voluminous or shiny. I've tried all trends. My hair has been a sort of Rock of Ages. Long, short, crazy colors, you name, I've worn it. I love big hair, trendy or not, and to achieve this, my world consisted of lots and lots hairspray. I received mega compliments, but I spent an hour getting it that way, and yes.... it was definitely "no touch" hair! I always dreamed of hair that blew in the wind, I call it convertible hair. I was jealous of women who could let their hair blow while riding in a car with the top down. I couldn't even take a nap and get up without having to wash and restyle my hair! A few years back my long term stylist relocated. She referred me to someone in the business for 25+ years. My first few visits were great, until we did a highlight. My hair broke off each time I washed it! It was getting shorter and shorter. I found Abby right here on YELP. She came with such high reviews. She heard and felt my pain over the phone and came to my rescue the very next day. To say Abby has changed my life is an understatement. I do not mean to sound shallow, because plenty of people have bigger issues than hair, but if you relate to my story, you understand exactly what I refer to with hair envy. Abby has transformed my hair into hair I've always wanted. I now have thick beautiful curls that hang past my shoulders. I wash my hair twice a week, not twice a day. My hair looks great when I wake up. I live without hairspray at all and my hair routine takes only minutes per day. I have perfect beach hair!! My hair has become the envy because Abby listened to what I wanted, and then she put her artistry to work. She is the best! Abby did such an amazing job with both my hair and my 14 year old daughter's hair. She was so easy to work with -- she listened to what we wanted -- and my daughter and I wanted very different things -- and did a brilliant job. She did a complicated dye-job on my daughter's hair and also gave her a flattering trim and showed her how to style it herself! I just wanted a trim -- but Abby did so much more. She gave my frayed, frizzy, mop some style and shape that was easy to maintain! And -- since Abby came to our house, we had it all done in the comfort of our home! She is a sweet and very easy going person which is important to me. I don't like overbearing self important people who feel like they need to impose a style you are not comfortable with on you. Abby is our go-to stylist from now on! Update! Abby now does facials too! My daughter and I were pampered by Abby's luxurious facial! She customized the skin care for each of us. I absolutely LOVE the pampering that I got during my facial. Abby makes you feel like a QUEEN. The atmosphere is so calming. I immediately felt relaxed. The oversized lounge chair, so fluffy and comfortable. The room was quaint, dimmed lights and I could hear the ocean waters in the music playing. I was in heaven before she ever touched my face. Now my facial. I'm not sure exactly what she did but WOW! My face felt so soft and the fine lines were GONE! She tapped my face to release toxins, she did a lactic acid treatment, and to finish it off she massaged by face ever so gently and then moisturized it. Somewhere in between she found time to give me a neck and shoulder massage as well as foot and hand massage. Amazing! Her prices are reasonable enough to schedule this treat for myself monthly. WHY ARE WE LIMITED TO 5 STARS?? I wish I could 10, 15, 20! First, let me start by admitting I'm extremely picky and probably a whee bit demanding. I found Abby the day before Super Sunday lazy year when I was in a complete panic. My hair was breaking off every time I touched it! 2 weeks prior I had highlights and a cut, it went VERY BAD! I wanted extensions before I was bald, literally. ABBY ran to get my "new hair@ and was to my rescue Sunday morning. SHE TURNED MY HEAD INTO A TOTAL TRANSFORMATION! I have been going back to her, or she coming to me, regularly for root touch up, replacement extensions , and the most amazing massages. Abby is incredable. I had very long hair. For 20 years. I was in a situation where I had to cut it very short and I was terrified. She made the process fun and exciting. I sent her pictures of what my hair looked like and styles I found online that I liked. We talked for about a week before my appointment on what I wanted to achieve and different ideas she had as well. She did it. She cut off most of my hair and it looked GREAT! My fiancee even came home and gave me compliments. He was also scared about what it would.look like short. I think it looks way better like this than it did before. Abby Morganstein is an AWESOME Hair Stylist! She did my hair years ago. When I found out she was still a Stylist I went out of my way to have her work that magic again!! She lived up to all my expectations and of course the trip was well worth it! I was preparing for a very special occasion and explained to her the style I was lookin for. I absolutely love my extensions! I was so tired of having to constantly do my hair with tape-ins, clips-ins, etc for my job (I am the Bud Light rep for a few counties in Maryland). Now, I don't have to worry about anything, my hair always looks great! Abby was very insightful and picked the perfect combination of colors for me, and came to my house to do it all. It was so convenient and she was very flexible with everything! She gave me huge bottles of shampoo/conditioner and a brush specifically for these extensions and has come over to style me for events. Fınally I found the hair dresser that can achieve the color that I have been wanting to have for. She is not only a great hairdresser but also a kind and a very nice person. Very friendly. She is very perfectionist till she got what she wanted to see she always waited more and more to get what she wanted to have as a color did not even mind spending more and more time on my hair. Although it was just the first appointment with Abby, I can honestly say she is going to be the last one for me. Abby is incredible. I have difficult hair - fine and fragile but I of course want to wear it long - and it always looks great under her care. Over the years she has done amazing hair extensions for me, matching my strawberry blonde hair color perfectly, and is a gifted makeup artist and Balayage highlights and Ombre color expert. I didn't believe in magic, till I met Abby. She did what I thought was impossible. She gave me a permanent wave and my fragile hair is soft, not even a little but frizzy. Abby is so incredible. I found her during COVID because she was willing to come to my house to cut and color my hair outside. She was also willing to cut my toddler and husband's hair while my color set, which was a total bonus. My color has never looked better, and the cut grows out so well. I am amazed what Abby can do! I always had very thin hair... thyroid problems only makes it worse. I always tried to hide my hair, used clip-in extensions or wear ponytails. I was in the area for a 30 year reunion. I had my hair done before I left my home, and I was not happy! The color was off and my grays were still showing.
