MTA - bus/subway, CVS , bank, Whole Foods, department stores arearound the corner. E train goes to the airport. Nothing has complained. I highly recommend. Rate is around $300. read more

Concorde Hotel NYC is the ONLY hotel I choose each and every time I am in NYC, which is multiple times throughout the year. It now feels like a home away from home which is due to the truly exceptional and dedicated staff who go above and beyond in every possible way. Concorde Hotel is conveniently located near several good spots to eat and shop. It's also located near a MTA subway station, a 7 minute walk. I booked the regular king bedroom, the room was small but sufficient enough for me and my partner. We had a view of the buildings outside. The bathroom was nice especially with the spacious shower. After a walking around the city all day, I wanted to take a soak in the bathtub. When I ran the faucet, the water was yellowish beige and I was concerned. We called the front desk who brought in maintenance ASAP. The maintenance staff told us that the tub faucet probably hasn't been running in a week or two. He recommended to run the faucet for a while, and the water came out clear. Construction was going on and is pretty loud, it starts around 8-9AM. It'll be a bit difficult if you want to sleep in. There's also only 2 elevators and most of the time, only one was working. It was pretty inconvienent when that happened. When we had our room serviced on one of the days, I noticed that housekeeping gave us extra Nespresso pods which was really kind of them! On the 4th floor, there's a coffee machine that dispenses espresso, latte, and hot chocolate. There's also a water dispenser. If you want to stay somewhere where they're rude this is the place for you! The front desk didn't even bother to greet us upon arrival or with our comings and going. They're short , and every interaction was handled with an attitude. The room itself was nice however, we loved the bed and the full length mirror. I am perplexed at the lack of customer service and inability to help resolve the issues I experienced in room 803. The basic functions of any hotel room; the toilet, bathtub, and TV should operate correctly. 1.) First, I shared with the front desk how the TV was not showing any information for each channel. Maintenance was sent to my room to fix it and couldn't saying it was a wiring issue. (He even took the TV off of the wall but that didn't work.) So, as you'll see in the photos the TV showed some channels but others had a blue screen with a message... so I gave up watching TV :-( 2.) Tried to take a bath but the stopper didn't work so that was a waste of time. 3.) The toilet ran constantly. That was a challenge to ignore to go to sleep. I booked this hotel because of the soaking tub. Considering it didn't work properly the first night, it was a waste of money. I had been looking forward to taking a bubble bath and watching movies! Neither activity was possible the first night. That is why I am asking to be reimbursed at least one night for ALL of these major issues. Oh, I forgot to mention the blood stained towels... ewww... yuck! It's very unsanitary and concerning they would laundered and given again to patrons! The only positive part of staying here has been from Avalon at the front desk. She was welcoming and friendly upon check-in, especially when I told her I'm celebrating 5 years Cancer free. She gave us a voucher for a glass of wine to toast to good health! It seemed to be so luxurious from the website! I wanted to treat myself to a phenomenal experience to celebrate being 5 years Cancer free! In the end, the warm welcome from Avalon didn't matter. It was the dismissiveness from Sandy that left a sour taste in my mouth. She could have been more friendly and understanding with the issues instead of insisting that moving me to another room the second day was sufficient enough. (Like it was her decision to reimburse me???) I had to inquire about how to contact the manager. She didn't offer that information. I have stayed at luxury hotels such as the Waldorf Astoria, The Palms, and The Ritz Carlton and when something negative happened the staff was quick to be of service and help! I chose to stay in this hotel because it's close to my company. However I won't be coming back here. This is an apartment building converted hotel, you can hear anything that goes on in the hallway. On my second night, I got waken up by the fire alarm at 4am and had to walk down 18 floors. After 40 minutes of waiting in the lobby, the fire department finally came and told the hotel that the alarm had gone off because the hotel management had left a leaking pipe unfixed for too long (direct quote from the fireman - you can't just put a bucket under it). If they can cut corners like that with the fire department. Imagine what they would do to their customers. Overall the service is very subpar and all they are looking for is to save / make money. Disappointed - not worth the money. You can find much better places at the same price. read more

So pleased with our stay here. Perfect location & clean, spacious rooms. Cute little cafe in the lobby that we utilized for mimosas & croissants. Had a couple of yummy empanadas for breakfast on our last day. Friendly front desk staff, but the most outstanding part was Barry the doorman. Super friendly & efficient, always with a smile...what an asset. I hope he's there when we visit again next year. Whatever we needed (ice, extra towels, etc) was brought to our room quickly. I was referred to this hotel by family members who had already made reservations for a shared trip. For the most part I enjoyed my stay. If it were not for a consistently broken elevator, my stay would have been perfect. Room -  I stayed in a Deluxe Guestroom which was surprisingly spacious and modern. There was an extra lounge chair, desk with a separate chair, and a small closet with a safe. The bathroom had a separate tub and a dual rain head shower. It was quite comfortable for an 8 night stay and a welcome retreat after long days of sightseeing and spending time with family. There were plenty of available outlets for charging. My room was facing inward so in terms of views from the 29th floor, it was just of the city. Note that check-in can be done as early as 11AM. Prior this will incur a $75 fee. Amenities - The hotel itself is quite small in terms of footprint with only about 4 units per floor and about 36 total floors. It's a sliver. There's a cafe at the ground level (did not try), and a spacious gym and business center on the fourth floor. Note that there are no ice machines on any floor and that you will need to call the front desk for ice to be brought up to you. For a majority of my stay, one of the two elevators was not in service. As one could imagine this led to huge delays for people on lower floors. I'm talking about a 15+ minute wait. The elevators would get packed with people which was uncomfortable during these pandemic times. Both guests AND staff had to share this one elevator. Eventually the elevator was fixed but then broke the next day. It's hard to assign blame but all I know is that it was a big inconvenience for everyone. Staff - Even in light of the elevator inconvenience, staff was friendly and courteous. They promptly attended to our requests (ice, towels) and answered every question. I couldn't have been happier with the level of service. A staff member named Jacob was particularly upbeat and personable. We were greeted with a smile and positive attitude every time we saw him. Things like this are contagious and really made a difference during our stay. So thank you, Jacob! Location - The hotel is located in Midtown East which I thought was a great location. The hotel is on a relatively quiet street which gets even quieter at night. It's within walking distance of Central Park, the shops on Fifth Avenue, and Times Square. Not to mention it was a few blocks from the 6 (which took me to all the great eateries in the East Village), E, and M trains (which made it pretty simple to take transit from JFK). I'm going to tell you a secret and you have to promise not to tell anyone. You can taste New York without New York money. How? The eminent Concorde hotel. I'm here now, writing this review. It's midnight and the Upper East Side looks so beautiful from up here. This window is four times the size of my body and yet I feel so large. It's all in the room, I think. It makes me feel like I'm Wilson Fisk. I'm Tony Stark. I'm Bruce Wayne upon Gotham. In this moment, I run New York. Wait a moment. Something caught my eye. I wonder why a single room light is on the 61st floor of the Bloomberg building? Is Mike home? You really need to see the Bloomberg building at midnight from this floor. What a view. Back to the Concorde. Every place is defined by its people, so let's talk folk. All Concorde staff I encountered were excellent, from the courteous doormen to the tireless housekeepers. A few to note: the amiable Christopher Shepard, the efficient Rada Drascovic, the soigné Dukens Alexandre. They exemplify luxury hospitality. Meet them and consider yourself lucky. Look, we all agree that that hospitality in New York is a gamble, regardless of star ratings or thousands paid. Well, not the Concorde - it's consistently well reviewed as far as excellence in customer service and I got to experience first-hand why. New York is not known for consistency in anything. I was impressed. Let's now talk about the space. Understand that this hotel is less boutique and more New York history. It was born as a residential high-rise owned by a major airline to provide exclusive lodging to visiting crew. Keep in mind that corporations take it very seriously that the people flying their billion-dollar aircraft get the pinnacle of luxury for their night's rest. So, you will too. The Concorde is designed with your comfort in mind. That's why every floor only has four rooms. That's why the beds are so soft. That's why the soothing tones of mid-century modern mellow your eyes. That's why I'm typing this with my laptop on a marble table top. That's why... the bathrooms. Oh, the bathrooms. God damn. We're talking bathrooms the size of a New York city studio. Professional vanity mirror taking up a warehouse chunk of wall real estate. Walk-in shower and soaking tub. That's right - and. Have you ever finished a run in Central Park with a perfectly-temperature-controlled Bahamas waterfall of a chilled shower, soak your tired muscles in a home spa of a soothing bubble bath, then back to the Bahamas you go? I have. A bit about the amenities. Well, there's the essential WIFI, but note that you can ask for a network cable for better Zooming or Teaming. 92 Mbps down / 94 Mbps up during my stay, by the way. My TV is quite big and has all the usual channels and music. A fridge (mind you, much mini) lets me keep a few refreshments cool for when needed. Finally, an iron and board in the room let me have my pilot uniform looking crisp for my flight out. A note about laundry - Hill Cleaners (160 E. 55th St) is just down the block. If you get bored, there's a lot to do. Are you a tourist or a non-jaded local? Rockefeller Plaza and Central Park are within walking distance. Funny story - a few days into my stay at the Concorde, I climbed a tree in Central Park to see if I still could. Well, I certainly got down faster than I got up. My rib hurt for a week. Cherish your twenties, kids, because they'll pass you by. Be smarter than me and work out at the Concorde gym on the 4th floor. It's not massive, but has all the essentials: treadmills, bikes, weight machines, and free weights. Mirrors, too - mirrors holding secrets. Shh. Hungry after all that exercise? Whole Foods and Duane Reade are just 3 blocks away. If you're so inclined, so is McDonalds. Want takeout? There's over 30 local restaurants on Seamless. I highly recommend Jackson Hole. The pecan pie is de-li-cious. Ready for some retail therapy? Bloomies, Saks, Bergdorf, Home Depot, Zara, MUJI, Saks Off Fifth, Uniqlo... to list a few... are within a 10 block radius. I recommend stopping by Columbus Circle on the west side of Central Park too - their Nordstrom is amazing. If you find yourself in the Men's shop, ask for Will in Men's Shoes, because he's a class act and you won't be disappointed. Want to travel a bit? Public transportation is readily accessible, both subway trains (N, R, W, E, M, 6) and buses (M2, M3, M4, M50, M101, M102, M103, Q32, Q60). I'm telling you, this place is so convenient. All in all, staying here is a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it. I will forever hold a special place in my heart for the Concorde. It helped me get over a - very - difficult goodbye. She didn't like this hotel, so we left early. The room (jr suite) was spacious and clean but there were a lot of annoying things. Only one heat vent in the room so it was 78 near the thermostat and cold elsewhere. Hotel says there are eco friendly. That means no water in room, no robes, a tiny amount of shower get, etc, hotel is 37 stories and only 2 elevators. So it took about 7 minutes for an elevator. Despite 122 rooms. Bonsai "restaurant " only had room for 8 people indoors. read more

The entire staff, down to the door men are awesome! Enrique was so accommodating filling us in on the amenities and best rooms with the best views in the hotel! I have nothing but thanks to give the Concorde's wonderful staff! One thing I didn't see when looking up reviews on this hotel is the parking. There is no valet service however there's a parking garage right next to the building. So if your planning on staying here and driving keep in mind this parking garage gets filled up pretty quick. read more

My girlfriend and I are currently staying here as I am writing this review. The first night was amazing, no complaints whatsoever, but this second night we haven't been able to sleep at all. The air conditioning in here is not working and they sent someone twice to try to fix it with no luck. After they weren't able to fix it they offered us a fan... They told us that engineering won't be in until 8am to take a look, and keep in mind it was 4am when I initially notified them even though it wasn't working for much longer than that. I am not usually one to complain but after it has been the whole entire night with the thermostat reading 78 degrees and no sleep, I finally went down and asked if we could switch rooms to which they said there are no clean rooms available and that they would call us when one is available. I will update this review as this horrendous night continues. Truly disappointed and seems that we will waste one of the few days we have to enjoy here catching up on sleep.. It has been 2 hours since they told me that they would call me when a room is available. Still haven't heard anything from them, never mind an apology.. read more

Great location near many restaurants, stores and various forms of transportation, but you may want to walk to the main roads to the right or left as the road where the hotel sits can get quite congested. The staff are super friendly. They were even able to find me the one remaining room that was available for an early check in, which allowed me the unexpected luxury of being able to shower before my morning meeting. The ammenities are not too lavish but luxurious nonetheless. Comfortable bed, tv with several channels, city view surrounded by tall office buildings, a desk to work from, a closet with an ironing board and iron to take out any wrinkles. It doesn't have a fully stocked mini frig, but that means you can use it to store any leftovers or drinks of your own (including bottled water as there doesn't seem to be any in the room) and you aren't being overcharged for them to provide those services. Expensive as per any hotel in NYC. Customer service could use some additional training. Pretty rude on the phone and zero appreciation shown for our $633/night business. In fact, the way they said "thank you" was with an additional $2/night surprise theft from our credit card. Lol. Concorde, enjoy my extra $10. So weird. When we arrived 40 minutes after check-in time our room was not ready. No apology just told us to take a seat in the lobby. Didn't offer water or coffee or anything. Not a big deal, but also not very professional. I mean who's counting? But at $633/night that equals $26.37/hour so you probably should have given me $10 instead of taken it from me! Shower was smaller than a cruise ship. Shower door leaked enormous puddle that soaked through the floor towel and flowed beyond every day. A/C was a bit spotty so went from hot to cold in big swings, so nightly sleep was interrupted trying to continually manage sheets/blankets. Construction on building outside of room windows, but hours of work seemed appropriate. Coffee machine and water on 4th floor was nice. All-in-all, it's a nice spot in a nice area. Room was spacious, but with one sink and one mirror. The bath lends all its space to the unnecessary tub. With as much competition as there is for hotels in NYC, this one is 3-star and has room to immediately go to 4-star by improving the professional demeanor. Midtown boutique hotel with only four rooms in each floor. Stayed here for a week on a business trip and had a comfortable stay. I liked that there were amenities available like the rain shower and a soaking tub (although I did have to ask to get my drain plug fixed). There is a hairdryer, kettle, and Nestle coffeemaker, along with Molton Brown toiletries. Unfortunately there wasn't a microwave in the room nor did they have one in the hotel. There is a mini fridge but it's not that strong. My one complaint is that the WiFi was weak and would intermittently disconnect from my phone and laptop. I ended up getting an Ethernet cord from the front desk so that I would do some work. There was a gym on the fourth floor but I didn't have a chance to try it - running up and down the stairs was a good workout though! The elevators are pretty slow but it's nice that the guests all say hello. When you check out there is complimentary luggage storage. There's also a water dispenser in the lounge along with a bathroom. They had even put umbrellas out for the guests to use when it was raining, which I thought was nice. The hotel was booked for a holiday weekend and early check in was approved. As a solo young female traveler, the staff was less than accommodating and tried to double charge for the room on several occasions. They seemed to be dismissive and it did not feel amenable or Safe. Not to mention the mosquitos in the rooms. I doubt male travelers or families would have this issue. it is unfortunate that gender is still an issue for young women staying in hotels hoping for rest and feeling safe. hopefully their staff can have gender-based training or a new management company can take over. read more

This is a nice small midtown hotel with only 4 rooms per floor (of 36 floors). It was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and personally engaged in their. Jobs. Altho we reserved an Accessible Junior Suite one month in advance of our visit there were none available when we arrived. We couldn't even get ANY suite as all were occupied and we ended up in a king room with 5 pieces of luggage (starting on a 3 week vacation). The bathroom was challenging for someone mobility challenged, there was not enough electrical outlets to charge our various digital devices. There is a small dining area great for breakfasts (limited menu) with a skylight making it feel open and airy. A wonderful neon sign in the dining area reads "Anything is Possible in New York". Cute. We might return if assured of the right accommodation because it's so rare to find a hotel this clean and taken care of. read more

What an incredible hotel for the price-point (reviewing the deluxe regular room). The room itself was roomy for Manhattan hotel standards and it was clean, beautiful, with a nice view of surrounding midtown buildings. The bathroom is one of the best hotel bathrooms I have experienced: large soaking bathtub, a separate walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head that had incredible water pressure and a separate handheld attachment. Not sure what magic they wield with the bathroom ventilation but even when it should have been steamy it was well ventilated (never heard a vent?). The air-conditioning in the room was fantastic and also super quiet. They don't have a restaurant (they do have a cafe though) but you can get room service via Butler. The front desk staff was friendly and they held our bags after checkout and were really gracious and accommodating in general. If I had to find a con: the first night there was only one bath towel and there were two of us but we inquired with the housekeeping staff the next day and not only were they super lovely to deal with but they supplied us with an appropriate amount of towels. It's a great hotel in midtown, miles ahead of some older properties claiming to be 4 star properties in the same price range. read more

Stayed here yesterday and checked out today. I hate that I have to write this type of review but I am very disappointed. I had my eye on this hotel for a while and knew I wanted to check it my next stay in nyc. We have a usual hotel we always stay at near the World Trade Center. My check in experience was okay I can say. I am huge on customer service and it just seemed the front desk Lacked that so much. Once I got to my room my remote was completely dead. I called down to see if it can get fixed or a replacement remote which took about an hour after calling twice. The girl at the first desk seemed annoyed a little but it. After a night out and coming back to my room we wanted to take baths and after running the water we realized the tub stopper wasn't working at all. I completely booked this hotel because of the tub! I was so exhausted my boyfriend convinced me to just take this lost after the money we spent. I wanted to love this hotel so bad but couldn't. Very nice hotel in midtown on 57th street right off Lexington avenue. We arrived early so our room was not ready so the very friendly staff stored our luggage and allowed us to freshen up in the bathrooms. Wish I had known Welcome parking was right next door. Would have looked up if they had discounts online but booked a nice garage anyhow in 53rd. We had a nice room on the 26th floor Views are of other buildings in our room. Room was very quite and the bed was very comfortable. I had a charging station on my side of the bed. None on my gf side. Bathroom was very clean and nice but the bathroom lacks towel bars. They should put some up. The receptionist recommended other than the hotels continental breakfast that for a full breakfast The Palace diner on 57 th street that we enjoyed and the staff there bent over backwards for my gluten dairy free girlfriend to make her an amazing large plate of sautéed vegetables. From the front door gentlemen to the housekeepers, the Concorde rocks. The rooms are unusually big for Manhattan-- no fear of claustrophobia. There's a ton of construction on all sides, so if you're planning to work in your room, be prepared for noise. Once the construction is done, it will be even more fun to stay there. The front desk and door staff were really knowledgeable about key things such as where to go for breakfast and where the nearest Duane Reade was located.
