We're giving this place three stars, but it's a happy three, and we'll be back again. Today was our second time eating here because we've twice managed to head over to the Mueller food trucks from the Thinkery in the mood for tacos only to find Veracruz closed. Conscious Cravings is open, so... Both times here we got the mango smoothie and the baked rosemary fries. The smoothie is nothing special, but gets the job done, and we like the fries but today not much of the rosemary stayed on and was kind of just in a pile at the bottom of the bag. We also got the avocado wrap (spinach) today, and while it tasted fresh, it really needed more of the chimichurri or some other sauce to bring the whole thing together. Service is fine, food comes out in a reasonable amount of time, and there's a cute little kids play area with some slides nearby that our daughter enjoys. So, overall, nothing amazing, but a solid place to grab a healthy bite/snack if you're in the area and hungry. read more

DELICOUS lunch option especially if you're coming from the Sunday Farmers Market. Be WARNED their spicy chickpea wrap will set your tongue and heart on fire. It's tomato packed flavor with lots of heat. We also got their blackened tofu wrap. The tofu pieces were nice and thin so the seasoning really seeps in to every piece. Had the chimichurri and blackened seitan wraps. Both were amazing! The chimichurri flavor was my favorite. Will definitely be back to try the other wraps, and the rosemary fries. Service was slow, our order took about 15 minutes to come out on a slow night where there was only one other order. My only complaint is that the wraps are quite messy and it is hard to eat them without making a mess of sauce. Overall good food. I would recommend this place and I'll be back. read more

Damn I had come here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon lookin to get me some good vegan grub. But little did I find it was some low quality cardboard wraps that anyone could make at home. The chimichuri Seitan was a rubbery mess and completely over seasoned. My 3 year old daughter could make better Seitan. The tomatoes were obviously from a can and none of their ingredients were of quality. The fries I received were half frozen still not cooked all the way through and ridiculously salty. Lastly you call that a smoothie..... it wasn't even blended well and was super watery. Take your money somewhere else, I'm sorry to say. I wish it were otherwise, but hey they tried. read more

One of the servers at this truck was so fucking rude, he inspired me to waste a few minutes to write my first Yelp review in years. I went here for lunch today with my friend and asked her to order first. She did, and then he asked me what I wanted, but I replied that we'd be paying separately so that he could finish with her payment. After a few minutes of him attending to Favor orders I asked "Can I place an order?" to which he responded with a slight chuckle "I asked if you wanted something!" I'm thinking "that's not what happened, but fine." I began to utter my order, which he interrupted with a nonchalant "can't hear you dude." This food truck is THE BOMB. I ordered the chickpea wrap and added seitan because I'm a seitan fiend and I also love Indian food. I highly recommend both things, together or separately. This is the tastiest seitan I've ever had. It's that good. I am going to get the CC diner next time since the star of the show in that dish is the seitan. I ordered a house salad and the baked rosemary fries from this place and found the experience to be so-so. The salad was very basic (as expected), and I didn't find the dressing to have any special flavor. I felt like I was just eating to eat but did not enjoy the salad. Hanging in Austin, looking for a mid-day bite, we stopped at Conscious to ease the health food craving. Our experience was as follows: Good: Ordered a spinach smoothly w/avo- delish. Wrap & rosemary fries, good. Bad: Vegetarian experience turned south when we specifically watched one of the 2 employees take smoke break, pick his ear, wipe/clear out his nostrils and proceed directly to preparing food......no washing or disinfecting his hands - NASTY Don't get me wrong, the whole Austin organic revolution/vegetarian is cool and all, but i (and probably most) would opt for a smidge of health/safety procedure protocol. I'm short, as long as their cooks keep their tempeh in their nostrils.....wash/clean their hands BEFORE handling your food, it's A-Ok. read more

Conscious Cravings is one of my favorite food trucks in Austin. I found it by total happenstance one day when I was driving home from ABP. It's in the Mueller food park, which is such a great location! There are plenty of shady places to sit/walk while you wait or while you eat. I've only been a few times, but I plan on becoming a regular! Each time I've gone I've gotten the same thing. What can I say, I loved it the first time and I just had to have it again! I got the seared tofu wrap with a spinach tortilla and a spinach smoothie. The smoothie is perfect! It's so light and fresh, it tastes healthy! I usually stay away from spicy food but the seared tofu wrap is so worth it. And it's really not crazy spicey, definitely at a level I can handle. The flavors compliment each other so well, I love the mayo and the tofu is cooked perfectly. I can't wait to visit again and try some different wraps! read more

But, I tried this place out for the first time today for an early lunch, and it was really great. Very solid vegetarian spot in a nice food park on 1st. Tons of seating and very fast. Had the creole style tofu in cayenne wrap with added quinoa. Very thick sandwich and honestly no need for a side. Would work as a salad just as well, but hot wrap is best way to go here. Great service that brings wrap to you while seating and knowledgable about the menu and what goes well with what. I tried Conscious Cravings again today, taking on the 100 degree weather to walk over from my office. After reading some other Yelp reviews from their other locations, I decided to try the bbq seitan wrap. The seitan itself was very well seasoned and had a nice sear. The bbq sauce was tasty, and spicy! I ordered medium - you can get mild or hot as well. I was still a little disappointed by the other ingredients in the wrap (lettuce, tomato, onion). I feel like something fresher would add nice depth of flavor and contrast. Other than that, it was good! Also, their prices are very reasonable. You can get a hearty wrap for $6-7. I feel like you can't go to most food trucks in Austin these days without spending at least $15+!!! read more

Very tasty food! Came here during Farmers market, minimal line and quick prep. Got the blackened tofu and frozen cucumber lemonade. The lemonade was perfect, you could really taste the cucumber and it wasn't super sweet (the way I like it). The blackened tofu had heavy flavor to it, a pleasant surprise, and the Cajun spice was really present. Mouth is still pleasantly tingling! They also have cayenne tortillas, yum! read more

Good food when they can manage to get your order right. Terrible customer service! When we had called about being charged for something we didn't receive, the "manager" (wouldn't give his name) said to me- "what do you want me to do, gravel for you?". I'm sorry, but I've been in the industry for a decade, and no matter what kind of day you're having, you don't need to talk to anyone that contributes to your business like that.
