My sandwich was absolutely delicious and I cleaned it up. His salad was enormous and he couldn't finish it. He had enough leftover to take home for another meal. Neither came with a side but they are available for purchase. The restaurant is bright and cheerful inside with plenty of seating. And the staff are very friendly and eager to assist throughout the meal. The only downside is their prices being a little high for the type of setting so one star off. As of February 2026, it still has that brand new restaurant feel. The interior is bright, clean, and modern, and there's a ton of outdoor seating. However, you are just off 38th Street and across from the Seton medical complex, so al fresco dining may not be the quietest experience depending on traffic and time of day. It has been years now that it has been impossible to pay with a gift card online (and they removed the ability to order online and pay in store). There is free soft-serve ice cream (and chocolate sauce and cones) for everyone. This location's water tastes normal/good, unlike many Austin restaurants'. The managers have been really helpful when there are issues with the site (like not getting the offers I should have gotten). The Caprese is, of course, my favorite. There's also a seasonal cranberry sweet potato bread that is delightful. I wish it overlapped with the Caprese so I could try them together. Maybe one day...
