I hesitate to give this 5 stars because people don't believe them. I visited from Boston and it was quite simply the best tacos I've ever had. And I've had a lot of tacos in my life. The walls are adorned with colorful murals from local artists. The service is amazing. Everyone is so friendly. I came back the next night to try different tacos and they were even better. everythinv was overly spicy. including the child beef taco that my 8y/o or my 11 year old could stand. The ratio in the rice bowl was approximately 95% rice and a few pieces of chicken. The glazed orange chicken taco was decent, WAYYYY too many green onions that were not chopped up, just huge chunks. Service was alright, could tell she was new so not too terrible. A little expensive for the taste of food, but I'd rather spend my money at Taco Bell. Came into Condado today. First time in Charleston and this was definitely the spot to come to. A bit on the quiet side for 10 on a Thursday but the food, atmosphere and service were on point. Love the art on the walls and on the menu! Great to just come chill, have a beer or tequila or both and gaze off into the trippy art. If I lived here I'd be here every week. I hate to leave bad reviews but this might be the worst restaurant in Mount Pleasant. The service and the food were equally bad. When we arrived, the hostess didn't smile or even greet us. We had to ask her for a table in order for her to look up from her phone. Our server was friendly at first but went downhill quickly. When we sat down, we ordered margaritas, chips and guacamole and 1 taco for our 2 year old. The chips and guacamole came out right away and were good. The margaritas didn't show up for about 20 minutes and tasted like they sat at the bar and were forgotten about. Once they arrived, we ordered a total of six tacos. The tacos arrived before the 1 kids chicken and cheese taco we ordered. We always order our son his food once we sit down and order ours after but our 6 specialty tacos were dropped off before his one chicken and cheese taco. We asked the server about his taco and she said she had no idea what happened. She then went and checked on all her other tables before going back in the kitchen to investigate. She came back out and said they were working on it but another 20 minutes went by for ONE chicken and cheese taco. We had finished our dinner and were ready to pay the bill by the time the taco arrived. The server didn't apologize or give any explanation on what happened. She didn't even offer to remove the one taco from the bill. The 6 tacos we did get came out right away but tasted cold and like they were maybe premade and refrigerated. The sever said all the toppings made the tacos taste cold but I've never experienced that before. I hate to see new places fail but we won't be back. read more

The one star is for the excellent chips and dips, then it goes south, margaritas are premixed and are the sweetest mix I have ever had, sickly, in order to make it drinkable we had to get more tequila, that didn't work so I squeezed 10 pieces of lime, that made it palatable, the tacos we ordered were refrigerator cold, supposed to be hot, not even close. Decided to not have replacements .Service was bad, maybe inexperience, that's what I'm hoping, then the knife in the ribs, the check was $88!!!!! Chips and salsa and drinks. Will NEVER go back. Very cool atmosphere. A great addition to Mount Pleasant. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess who was able to seat us right away. We arrived at 5:45. It was busy but no wait. Within half an hour there was a line out the door!! From the margaritas to the appetizers to the tacos, everything is delicious. My husband ordered 3 tacos and the server said most people get two Lol! She wasn't wrong, the tacos were huge! Only negative comment I would have server kept trying to clear our plates and we weren't done eating. I know they were busy and they needed to turn tables but we wanted to enjoy the rest of our food. They have just opened and pleasantly surprised. We came for happy hr. Good news... they have a HH... bad news it is really only margaritas. The trio app was very good. We did regular queso, traditional guacamole and the smoked cheddar. Smoked cheddar was the best and it was suggested by a bartender. The bar seats, however, are so uncomfortable. It's the metal stools. Awful. Definitely not a place where u would want to watch a game. Just go in... eat and leave. There are actual chairs in the dining area so don't fret. We ordered tacos to go as we were not that hungry after the trio. I ordered the cali green ground beef but got I think.... Mushroom. We also ordered the orange chicken and I made my own. Everything had a kick but in a good way. Everything was great! "Squeaky "was the best bartender at the bar. Very attentive and I forgot to tell her that I wanted it to go but she overheard me and actually asked!!! Kudos to her! She was on point. Good mix of talking, serving, and listening. Besides the bar stools and my mushroom taco... I'd give it 5 stars. Can't wait to visit again! read more

dips and chips are always really good here, one thing i would like them to consider is using warm shells for their tacos, the cold shells not heated up is a little off putting and not preferred and almost makes them feel not fresh even though i know they are making them to order read more
