The Customer Service at this restaurant is horrible. I noticed my bill was incorrect when I got home I returned to the restaurant to show the management my receipt. I was told that hashbrowns could not be substituted for meat so I was charged $16 for a $7.99 breakfast and she refused to refund the discrepancy. She threw a menu at me and said to check out the prices and if I didn't like it to not come back.I absolutely will not be going back, especially after knowing they asked a police officer to leave because he ordered only a drink. Portions are small and food is mediocre at best for the price. Orders are consistently wrong. This use to be our go to place for breakfast and dinner when we did not want to cook. It is too bad to see this place slide downward. Hopefully someday day they will return to grace. Since they are so close to our home. read more

Great family diner! I've tried their Coney dogs and their catfish. My husband has tried their pancakes and a 1/2 chef salad. I had a garden salad and hash browns with my catfish. I like my hash browns crisp. They did a great job! The garden salad was a good sized salad with generous ingredients. Their blue cheese dressing-- not bad! I admit I'm a terrible critic when it comes to blue cheese dressing--my mother made homemade blue cheese dressing when I was growing up. The chef salad was large for a 1/2 chef salad! Again, a lot of ingredients. I've also had their Rueben sandwich--very good and not greasy! They could stand a couple more handicap parking since it seems to be popular with the older crowd. read more

Food was what I expected nothing spectacular but definitely adequate. Some of the best Cole slaw I have had in a while. Husband enjoyed his Monte Cristo sandwich which was a surprise to see on the menu. Portions were also good. We will be back. read more

Sunday a.m. August 30, 2020: The hostess was not wearing a mask, and had only a half face shield hanging around her neck. Only a few of the wait staff wore their face masks correctly. There wasn't social distancing in the seating arrangement. One service provider went so far as to attempt to hug me. One service provider seated themself at a customer's table and removed their face mask while taking the customers orders. There wasn't disinfectant used to clean surfaces. The owner was on duty. Four of us were there for breakfast on Thursday September 17. It appeared they did NOT follow guidelines for social distancing. No tables were blocked off. Staff did not have full masks. Great place to eat and quality food, Wife and I had the Chicken Strip Basket the chicken was great nice batter fries were also great with awesome flavor, great ranch dipping sauce (a must for me!) our Son got a hot dog and mashed potatoes and gravy, the mashed potatoes and gravy was HUGE and our dinners had a lot of food great value for the price and the waitresses are very nice and friendly. This place is ok. I only like it, cause I have breakfast with my father here, he loves the place. They have a redhead girl working there is who is about the nicest you can meet. Very friendly and she makes sure you don't miss anything. I have had a couple other waitresses and when I asked for the cook to put pepper on my eggs while cooking them, because it tastes so much better cooked with it than adding later, she told me flat out, "Well there's a pepper shaker right there!". Very unimpressed. Anywhere else I get breakfast, they add the pepper. Not here, maybe the cook has not graduated pepper school. I think they could add some new carpet to make the place look a little better. The food is okay. When I ask for over medium eggs, I get over medium eggs. That is good. The bacon is always just right. If you are hungry and do not want to wait in a long line anywhere else, this place always has a seat for you, which is good. You can give them a try and see for yourself if you like it. read more

This place is such a hidden treasure in Battle Creek. I went there for the first time last week Thursday. They have all you can eat spaghetti dinner for $8.40. I loved it so much. They first bring you out a large plate and then small plates after that and it comes with garlic toast. This is a must try if you are there on Thursday. The dining area is huge, with plenty of seating. They floors were dirty, but the waitresses work hard to keep the place tidy. The waitresses make this place what it is. They are all funny, and keep everyone smiling. Then I went back on Sunday for some breakfast. They serve breakfast till 2pm. I had the Country Omelette. This was amazing. It's a large 4 egg omelette stuffed with sausage, mushrooms, peppers and onions and then smothered with sausage gravy and comes with hash browns and pancakes or toast. This was so good. Have been eating here since they opened. I have seen a decline in the quality of food, the cod to name one. It used to be nice fat filets which I liked, now its more like fish sticks which I am not inclined to pay $8 for again. Have ordered take out only to get home to find the order lacking and incorrect. This is a diamond in the rough, really the only sit down restaurant in the area, but that does not mean they can serve sub-par food. Maybe Chef Ramsey should come in and wake them up.
