They kept adding to the trauma of losing a mother. My friend's held her mother's memorial ceremony at this Chapel on September 15th. The day before the ceremony my friend's family called to confirm the priest will be available for the ceremony and they were told yes. At 5:45pm the day of the ceremony, my friend asked the director or manager ( whoever he was) what time the priest was getting there. It wasn't until 8pm we were told the priest wasn't coming and they would be unable to have the ceremony that night. They were told to come back in the morning at 8:30 and the priest would be there. Fast forward 1 week later my friend goes to pick up the death certificate, which was incorrect and the coordinator, Helen, was disrespectful and initially wouldn't own up to her mistake. Her response was "what do you want me say, I messed up?, fine, I did" AND still charged to fix her mistake. They're getting 2 stars because the night of the event the managers that were there seemed to try to make the effort to help. But Helen, she's inconsiderate, disrespectful and lacking in decency. read more

Terrible service. They double booked and postponed my grandmothers funeral for almost 4 hours. Lots of my family left early due to the inconvenience. No apologies given and basically blamed the family for their mistake. Very rude as well. I do not recommend! read more

I' am writing to give many Thanks to Julie and Bill who made this journey in my and my family life memorable. Loosing my only Brother who was a son, father, uncle, nephew, cousin , Brother in law and friend to many . Your professionalism and compassion did not go unnoticed and very much appreciated, your attentiveness to check and make sure everything was up to our expectations. Most importantly my brother looked at peace and handsome. His casket was beautiful and cards were very nice. Terrible service! Elena (or is it Yelena) is the most unprofessional director out there. A hasty decision among the feeling of loss brought us to her and we were hoping for some solidarity, but got ugly service. During the burial, she laughed on the phone and so loud it was inappropriate. She was unclear about the details of the church service (never bothered to explain a thing), as a result the coffin was not opened to let us say good bye, we had to request the opening specifically from grave yard people. Run! Before your last good bye is disrespected by her and this whole place!!! read more

The biggest regret of my life was to have my dear mother funeral arrangement made by this chapel. These two money hungry leeches f****d up big time. I order ten thousand dollar casket, I want a mattress for a casket and mahogany wood, with Christian emblems. This cheap looking box was a disgrace. No mattress, I said where her mattress? The female employee who handled the arrangements said, are you kidding, she has a nice pillow. I also order a sealed tomb to place mom casket inside, to protect it from rain, mud,etc that was a piece of junk, painted gold. It cost 22000.00 for everything. People, plan ahead, people like the at Coney Island Memorial will Rob you blind and will still be upset with the way your love one was put away. Rip mom.
