    Cheesecake

Quaint diner w/ friendly service. I was a little disappointed in the chicken & shrimp scampi over linguini and the chicken in the soup wasn't great, but I did have a late lunch so I wasn't as hungry. The cheesecake was perfect -- very tasty!

Great dinner in the Franklin park/Kendall park area. Nice cozy and traditional setting inside. Good place to get some work done. Good was impressive compared to other dinners. The chicken quesadilla was delicious and very filling. They give you good portion sizes for what you order.

I went back to Franklin Park Diner today and got my usual (and absolutely scrumptious) Disco Fries with a twist - extra cheese, which was absolutely to die for! I also decided to try another one of the delicious desserts behind the glass display case -- this time, I opted for a generous slice of their coconut pie. Let me tell you, it was creamy, thick, sumptuous and absolutely did not disappoint in any way! I can't wait to try more desserts!

THE BEST DINER!!! I absolutely love their western omelette. Their sausage side is probably the best sausage i've had at a diner. Their pricing is great as well. Their service is phenomenal and welcoming it. At first this dinner doesn't seem like much by looks and appearance, but inside it's a perfect little diner.

Always a great diner in the area. As with any diner, there are a lot of hidden gems. The pasta dishes always come as a huge portion. The penne vodka could easily be split into 4 portions.

    Buffalo chicken hoagie

That was absolutely terrible, calling it prison food would do a disservice to prison food. Had a Buffalo hoagie which came with 4 fake chicken tenders, a smear of buffalo sauce and borderline rotten lettuce. I paid 16 dollars for this sandwich which isn't even worth 25 cents. I don't know how anyone can serve this and not be embarrassed. I literally have to order a second dinner because it was inedible. Partner ordered a California panini which was thrown out after three bites. Stay far away, if they can't make two sandwiches right I doubt they can do anything right.

I of course used Yelp to find a good diner on my drive from New Brunswick to Atlantic City. I found Broad Street located in Keyport not far from the Garden State Parkway. It's your "classic" diner which has that 1950's vibe with the exterior and interior decor. Elvis paraphernalia is featured here. They had a busy lunch crowd. I sat at the counter and ordered a McCaffrey Wrap which comes with grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard. It was really good. The side of sweet potato fries were crispy and seasoned just right. The staff were courteous and the service quick. There is a small parking lot that can accommodate about five cars. There was plenty of on street parking. The downtown area was nice and you can take a nice walk after dining here to the waterfront.

Service was excellent. Old school diner servers with personality and the ability to have fun with their customers. Being Polish it was a surprise to find potato pancakes, kielbasa, and pierogi on the menu. We shared the potato pancake platter and the 2 eggs platter. Added side of scrapple. Where do I start? The potato pancakes were moist, sweet and full of fresh herbs. Definitely better than I ever made. You can choose sour cream or applesauce. I ordered the eggs over medium and they were cooked perfectly. The only thing is that they come with hash browns and toast. The only substitution for the hash browns was French fries. No fruit or vegetables. The reason we shared was because the egg and potato pancake platter with meat was only offered with bacon or sausage. I wanted scrapple. So when I used to work in L'ville and could get Route 1 Diner delivered through Uber Eats it was a treat indeed. I often ordered the turkey Reuben, omelettes, BLTs, fish sandos, and quesadillas. All good but the actual standout here is the STEAK FRIES! They are fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. They're the best steak fries by far and possibly a top 3 restaurant fry of all time for me. Even by delivery they arrive crisp. I've since left that job near the diner but when I find myself in the area I can't help but stop in to get the fries. I was actually hesitant to do so at first - kinda like lifting the curtain back on Oz. But there's no trickery here - the waitstaff is friendly in person, the food is hot and fresh, and incredibly priced. This diner is such a gem and I am admittedly jealous of people who live nearby.
