Came in with my wife and we had 2 cheeseburgers and an order of fries. $5+ for the burger and $4+ for a small boat of fries (size wasn't an option) and a large Pepsi for a total of $20+. Burger was smaller than McDonald's and so undercooked that the cheese wasn't melted. Fries were diced almost like they were using the little baby potatoes and were soft and soggy. As someone that grew up in Angola and only visited a handful of times, it amazes me that this place has survived as long as it has even being located right across the street from the beach. Would've been better quality and cheaper to go to McDonald's or one of the bars or pizzerias, which is Angola's only other options. Hard pass. read more

I've been patronizing Conners for many years, the last few years the quality and portions of their food has regressed. I stopped today and ordered a hamburger, a baloney and cheese, 2 fries and 2 small drinks, the bill came to $30.00. The hamburger looked like a slider, tasted like old hamburger that was sooo bad I ate less than a half and threw out the rest. Vinagar was so watered down it had zero taste. Heard a lot about this place and how good it was so drove 30 minutes to get a hot dog. They don't have footlongs just one size, ordered hot dog well done, fries and a strawberry shake. The hot dog was cooked well, there's a spot that you can put all your own toppings on which I liked. The fries look like they came out of the bottom of the fry bin mostly tiny little pieces of french fry. The shake was okay but very expensive. All together for a hot dog pieces of french fries and a shake, with tip was $18. That's a bit much. I can get a lot more food for less than that other places. read more

Food was good, fries would have been a little crisper and bigger and hot dog was a little too crisp. Sausage sandwich had great flavor. I love the toppings area to put a variety of toppings like pickles, ketchup, vinegar, mustard and so much more on top of anything or everything you want. Service was fast and efficient, you go through the line like a cafeteria style effect. The ambiance of the place is very nice and welcoming. The objects on the wall where fun to look at. We stopped here for a bite to eat after hanging out on the beach at Mickey Rats Beach club. We got a burger, Texas dog and fries. The dog was decent but the burger was awful and they didn't have lettuce, tomato or mayo. Who doesn't offer mayo? The fries were awful. They tasted like potatoes that were leftover from the day before and the oil they were fried in left a terrible flavor on them. Prices were cheap but you get what you pay for. read more

Visited on June 7/19/23. Tables on the outside were dirty in need of cleaning. The same goes for the island inside with the condiments. The floor needed to be swept both inside and out. The gentleman cooking the hotdogs behind the counter, was not in a very good mood. He was yelling at the other young man helping. Waited 30 minutes for a hotdog, and a hamburger. When the hamburger came out, he just handed it to me with a napkin. Forgot my hotdog. After I mentioned it, he gave me both hotdogs and hamburger on a tray. No apologies for the wait. On a sidenote, a few of the guests that were there, we're obviously drinking from the bar across the way and they were inebriated. Using foul language and very loud. Told management about it but they did not do anything to address the issues. This isn't the first time that I've been disappointed at Conners hotdog stand. I just thought I would give it another try, clearly, that was the wrong decision. I would not recommend this place until they clean up their act. Stopped by on a Sunday in July around 12:30pm. There wasn't a line, and there were ample picnic tables available. During my dining experience, a line formed, but it looked like it the employees got thought the line quickly, and the food was served promptly as well. I ordered a hot dog, a fry, and a small Dr. Pepper. My food came out quickly. There is a topping bar, and I love that you get to choose what you'd like. Connors is a staple of Angola, but I will never understand why. It is overpriced, understaffed, and the quality is overwhelmingly average. I am forced to go here with my fiances family more than I would like to. It doesn't even offer a view of the lake but it somehow still so but you manage to be miserable every time you come here. I don't know why I kept coming back (omy a sucker for pleasing my fiances family) but I would never choose to come here otherwise. Went to a friend's cottage for the Memorial Day Weekend and walked over to Connors after sitting on the beach for a little while. It's a great little hot dog stand that offers quick service and very good pricing. You order your food and wait in line until your tray is full. I got a hot dog, cheeseburger and fries and would say the fries were very good. Cheeseburger and hot dog were fairly average but it's a great family atmosphere that I would suggest going to if you've been at the water for the day. Chocolate milkshake was great! You order inside in a little line that resembles a high school cafeteria of sorts, get a receipt and get your food practically five minutes later on a tray. You are then free to sit on their outside picnic tables and relax the day away with some delicious grilled fare. I ordered the double cheeseburger and an order of their delicious homemade fries (which are never frozen!). The double cheeseburger was delicious, although the patties were quite thin and there's no option to have them cooked medium as a result. Still tasty though, but they don't come with lettuce or tomatoes..just the grits: the patty, cheese and bun. Granted, they do have onions and pickles you can add on, but no tomatoes or lettuce. Boo! What an adorable little restaurant! Connors is right off the water and it's a great little spot to drop by for some ice cream when you're done with the beach! The way it's set up, there are two different areas to order - one area for food orders and the other is for ice cream. I love that set up because it helps with efficiency in my opinion. The dining area is lined with picnic tables and there are several garage doors that open along the sides, so you get all of the fresh air. When we visited, there were four adults and two kids and we all got ice cream (peanut butter, cookie dough, strawberry, milkshake, and a dessert called the Tornado). For all of that, it was just over $18, so it was very affordable. Next time I find myself in the area, I'll have to certainly stop by again and check out the food this time. read more

Their French fries are unique and from freshly cut potatoes. I don't know what their secret is, but these fries are among the very best that I have ever eaten. We have been coming to Connor's since I was a baby. It did have the same vibe. The french fries tasted different (maybe different oil)? We were not crazy about them.I ordered two veggie patties last weekend my wife and I both did not feel good after eating them. Honestly i did not finish mine .My son loved the milkshakes. Hamburgers prepared out of sight, can't wait to try those. French fries taste old like made yesterday and reheated. The place is filthy. Mike hasn't cleaned the counter in months. And if you like the taste of sweat you'll love the food here, since Mike sweats all over your food while he prepares it. They give summer jobs to kids in high school and college also! All 3 of my kids worked their butts off at Connors for years. They worked hard but had so much fun!
