Taffy's is a right of passage for kids who grew up around here. We treated our boys to ice cream cones after the hair cuts. Taffy's is an historic hot dog stand celebrating over 62 years in business. The iconic glider tables are super charming, but it was raining, so we took our cones "to go". Just remember that it's CASH ONLY.

Yum yum yum. Great food, great patio, and a million milkshake flavors to choose from! I want to eat here every night in the summer. Taffy's does a great job of handling the hoards that roll in, and despite the number of people, we got our food quickly. And it was delicious! Just a great, classic hot dog joint!

Taffy's has been around longer than I've been alive. Since 1949 Taffy's has been serving up hotdogs and milkshakes. It's changed very little over the years but has had some upgrades. There's now a large outside seating area. Their menu has expanded a lot over the years too. But today I went for the classic foot-long hotdog and curly fries with a chocolate malt shake. It was awesome.

What's not to love about Taffy's? A community staple since 1949 with over 138 flavors of milkshakes, hotdogs And the best curly fries around. Nice outdoor seating and counter service too! Nice surroundings for a sunny day. Cash only so be prepared.

Taffy's = Milkshake Heaven. It would take some critical thinking to think of a flavor that they don't have. Sitting and swaying on those wooden gliders under a canopy while enjoying a hot dog and a milkshake in the shade on a hot summer day is truly one of the most soothing forms of relaxation you can find in this life. Cash only these days is crazy though, I'm just a girl

Wether you are in for a milk shake, a burger or a hot dog, Taffy's is the place to go. The list of milk shakes is almost endless and the food menu has plenty of options and a lot of toppings. The seating is only outside in somewhat uncomfortable gliders; 2 wooden benches on a track, table in the middle and a roof. Not easy to get in or out and the wooden seats need padding. Be prepared: the only take cash!!!! The seating is on the corner of Southwestern and Orchard Park Road and the traffic is close by and loud. The day we visited it was also very windy; not easy with paper plates. The food is excellent though! I had a nice and sloppy hamburger that I topped with the free toppings: ketchup, jalapeños and caramelized onions. Just great, even though the don't ask you how you want your burger. I shared a regular side of curly fries, nice and crunchy.

I went for just a milkshake while visiting a friend in the Buffalo area, and ended up getting the fresh cut curly fries also and neither disappointed. The menu options are creative and had plenty of options for everyone. Generally I find large menus to be overwhelming but I didn't find that to be the case here because there was the option for "create your own". I created my own mix (cotton candy and marshmallow).

Curly fries with Cajun seasoning. Fruity Explosion and Cotton Candy/Marshmallow milkshake. So far so good.

The future looks like Chipotle clones and Cava copies. If you like that future, have fun there. I won't be joining you. It's a good thing the name isn't written backwards otherwise you'd be in Det's. And then there would be Det collectors and you know how mean those guys can be. What to get: Polish! Polish! Polish! I'm not talking about your mani, but your dog! No not that dog, I mean the hot dog you order here! What else: Footlong dog, and I'm not talking about your man, you wish. Anything else: Yes. (shakes like a piece of chocolate). What was that? It's a chocolate shake! The service isn't always great but that can be said about every Ted's. It just depends which one of the 74 teenagers working at the place, that you get serving you. It's quint-essential Buffalo. Not that it's essential to have quints in Buffalo. Twins or triplets will do. Too expensive. But you must visit Ted's at least once to see what you think. Personally we just have cats, but we practice making babies constantly. They're a wonderful place. Their sausages are phenomenal, especially the Polish, the Footlong is great too. You absolutely must try the Polish, it shoots hot juice into my mouth even more expertly than any man I've ever met. It's just so damn delicious. Give it a try and see what I mean. They don't take phone orders (they should). Their Italian sausage is excellent, their burgers are nice, their footlongs and regular dogs are better, and their Polish is the piece-de-resistance, whatever that means. Perhaps you can use it to resist the fascists of new America, they're sadly on Yelp too. I can name them. For a small fee. It's good. Very good. And their chocolate milkshakes (with malt added) are muy excelente, if a little smallente. But also not as expensive as some shakes in the area and every bit as tasty. Ted's always disappoints me price wise. It looks cheap but next thing you know it's more than $10 for more than a snack. But it's excellent so I put up with it. Not a satisfying meal, but a wonderful snack. Which is why Akon did that song "Snack That" which was about Ted's. The Loganberry is also awesome, by the way. Just about twice as sweet as it should be. Made with real sugar. I recommend doing it 1 part water, 1 part Loganberry. Yours Sincerely, Ted Theodore Loganberry

Be careful pulling in, it's steep and you can bottom out easily!! This is one of 4 Western New York locations, and like the others, it delivers the same reliable experience every time. The Texas hots themselves are delicious - snappy Sahlen's dogs, soft rolls, and that signature meat sauce that hits all the right notes. Wish there was a little more meat in the sauce, but when you live out of state, you really can't complain because this is hometown comfort food you've spent your entire life eating. It's comfort food through and through, and you can tell they've been doing this a long time. The staff is friendly and chatty, the kind of place where you get quick service and a bit of banter without any pretense. Inside, it's a no-frills setup: hot dogs, burgers, and breakfast are the stars of the show, and that's exactly what you're here for. The dining area and bathroom were clean, which goes a long way for a spot that sees a lot of traffic, especially being this close to the stadium. Overall, this is the kind of place you can't really go wrong with. If you want classic Western New York Texas hots done right, served fast, and done the same way every time, this is a very consistent spot. Dad was happy too :)

The child was quiet, but we really didn't want to listen to a children's show while we ate dinner. The waitress came over shortly after we sat down, brought us chips and salsa & took our drink order. The chips looked homemade and we're good. The salsa reminded us more of a tomato sauce than a salsa; zero spice or much flavor other than tomato. When it came to ordering food I got the birria ramen and wanted a tamale but they were out; my boyfriend ordered a steak quesadilla. I also ordered the Jamaica hibiscus beverage. My ramen was pretty good; lots of meat, which was wonderful! I feel the broth could have had little more flavor. The Jamaica was tasty. My boyfriend enjoyed his quesadilla, but it came out on a paper liner and the cheese resulted it being pretty stuck to the paper. I can't say that we would visit again. Well we had a certificate to use , and it's because of these endless ads from Facebook. The table chips and salsa were dark almost as if over cooked a bit and the salsa was very very mild. We also got the queso and chips. Same chips but the queso was fantastic. Birra ramen came in a quart container, had fantastic flavor and was loaded with chunks of meat that just melted in the mouth. My birra quesadillas were good, fair amount of meat and cheese, a bit bland but the bowl of dipping birra helped redeem it a bit. The chicken wrap was huge, and was basically the same thing as the quesadilla with got just minus the bowl again a very similar flavor as my dish, just presented different Kids nuggets and fries, a solid handful of nuggets and mountain of fries. The little yelper was not impressed, I tried one and agreed ( but let's be honest, nobody is here for nuggets). The mango smoothie was the star of the show. Ice cold and quite refreshing. Also, the younger guy who was bussing tables and running food was incredibly friendly and helpful. After experiencing Mexico City I can definitely say that we don't plan on returning based on cleanliness (idk how they have a 100 score) and "420" odor. The food was good but not good enough to offset the condition of the place.
