I recently stayed at the Conrad New York Downtown and I can honestly say it lived up to its 5-star reputation. The location is excellent. You're right by Brookfield Place, the World Trade Center, Battery Park, shopping, restaurants, and the waterfront. It's one of those areas where everything is within walking distance, but it still feels quieter and more relaxed than other parts of Manhattan. One of the perks was booking through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts and having Hilton Gold status. We received a $150 property credit, which was a great added benefit and made enjoying the hotel even easier. The service throughout the property was exceptional. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care about making guests feel welcome. A special thank you to Stacy, Lindsay, and Che, who were all fantastic during our stay. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and warm personalities really stood out and elevated the experience. It's employees like them that separate a good hotel from a great one. The rooms deserve their own mention. Every room at the Conrad is a suite, and the extra space makes a huge difference compared to most NYC hotels. Our suite was spotless, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The bed was fantastic, the sitting area was perfect for relaxing, and the Mojave Ghost bath amenities smelled incredible. I also appreciated the filtered water dispensers in the room, which was a thoughtful touch you don't see everywhere. If you can, request a higher floor with a water view. Waking up and looking out over the Hudson was one of the highlights of the trip. We also spent time at Leonessa Rooftop, which has amazing views, a great atmosphere, and excellent cocktails. It's definitely worth checking out even if you're not staying at the hotel. The food was very good across the board. Room service breakfast was delicious, and while Manhattan hotel dining is never cheap, the quality was there. Everything we ordered was fresh, well prepared, and delivered promptly. At the end of the day, there's a reason this hotel consistently earns high marks. I've stayed at a lot of hotels, including Conrad hotels around the world, but none come close to the hospitality of the Conrad Downtown. Let's start with check-in. They honor every Hilton member or specialty cardd deal that is provided with your account, including early check-in when possible, all hotel dining credits and upgrades. They are gracious with it too, outlining everything for you on a sheet, telling you where they can be used (including in-room dining), and late check-outs as well. If a room is not ready, they will hold your bag for you until one is, and text you. The staff are super courteous, welcoming and well-informed, not just of the hotel, but the surrounding areas, from shopping to dining options inside Brookfield Place and Westfield to options for Carbone, Parm or Brooklyn Chop House. It is conveniently located near World Trade Center, so whether it is sightseeing you want, or shopping or family activities, everything is located. Battery Park City is great for walking as well, so if you just want to enjoy a nice stroll, it is perfect. They also will bring anything to your room that you need, from missing toothpaste to extra slippers or soap. The dining options within the hotel are great as well. We ordered room service, got breastfast and ordered the omelette, and avocado toast, along with two juices and they all were delicious. Be mindful, as they are a bit pricey, all came out to over $100, with tip included. We then dined at the Atrio downstairs and their food was great as well. From the crispy calamari, to the tuna tartar and burger and fries, all were really good. Now on to the rooms. They suite was super spacious, there's Mojave Ghost bath and body items in the bathroom which all smell amazing and it was super clean. Try and ask a higher floor and a room with a view of the water and you won't regret it. There is a couch in the suite if you have one and that is very comfy as well. The beds were all cleaned really well and extremely comfy. Andrea is the quintessential manager that I think they should send to every Conrad to train their staff because she went above and beyond for us. She is professional, friendly, warm and super attentive and if I could give her thousands of dollars for all she did for us, I would. I can't wait to go back and I'm already dreaming about the in-room dining. read more

The Conrad delivers a genuinely upscale experience at a price point that's hard to argue with on weekends. Rooms are large and well-appointed, and the small touches land -- the in-room water dispenser is the kind of thing you notice and appreciate. Staff are competent and professional throughout. One layout quirk worth knowing: the bathroom sits in the middle of the room as a divider, which is a design statement that doesn't work for everyone. Traveling with family, it felt awkward and a bit impractical. Location is the biggest variable. If your trip centers on the Financial District or you're hopping to Brooklyn, you're well positioned. For classic Manhattan sightseeing -- Midtown, the park, museums -- you'll be in a cab or subway more than you'd like. Go in knowing that. The value case is real though: if you can snag a weekend rate, you're getting a legitimately luxurious hotel for significantly less than comparable properties uptown. Dates of stay: April 10 - 15, 2026 Rooms 332 + 333 Overall we had a lovely stay. The rooms were very quiet and well-appointed with excellent housekeeping and friendly staff. The shower! The shower was a religious experience; the first time I walked under it, it took my breath away! Being able to find two rooms next to each other using the app was a nice touch and check in was efficient if lacking in information regarding the hotel. The gym was easily accessible and sufficient for my needs during the stay. We did have to ask multiple times for the water dispenser in Room 333 to be fixed, and I was disappointed at both the multiple requests to have this looked at as well as the lack of follow up when the dispenser was resolved. Also disappointing was that I never received an email receipt after the stay concluded. I can't recall this not happening at any Hilton property I have stayed with anywhere in the world. Frankly, I do not remember the last time that I liked the hotel I stayed at in NYC. Regardless the brand, they generally disappoint. Too cramped, too full of tourists, too dirty, too outdated. So, finally, the first property after trying close to 30 hotels that is truly impressive. The most impressive thing is the space. This is an all suite hotel and the suites are very respectable in size. For once, the bathroom does not feel like a cramped bathroom space from an airplane. Everything is fresh and relatively new. There is an in room water filtration system. The separate shower is a huge win, with amazing water pressure. Bedding is as comfortable as a Conrad should be. Aside from that, the recognition for Gold was decent: a $25 per person dining credit at the restaurant covers a decent part of basic breakfast and lunch dishes. There was no room upgrade despite availability, but again, not expecting too much from just gold status. They did provide a late checkout, which is arguably more important than anything else. And, staff are nice, fast and professional. All requests were honored rapidly. The hotel architecture from the exterior leaves much to be desired. The lobby of the property is in the style of older vestibules from 70s and 80s despite it being a new building, with rooms overlooking the lobby area. With that said, this setup creates a huge lobby feasible for major conference events and there are breathtaking sculptures suspended in the air. The gym is a good one, but sadly there is no pool when it comes to amenities. The hotel is situated in an excellent area to see the oculus and visit the memorials. If it's cold, there are entrances to the underground part of the oculus less than a minute from the hotel door. Overall, for 4.5 star level, which is generally the space that Conrad occupies, this is a top notch hotel. read more

Really loved our stay at the Conrad - if the Palace/Waldorf represent the quintessential old money feel of midtown Manhattan, the Conrad is the vibe of Battery Park. As soon as you step foot inside the light-soaked atrium, you get this feeling of, damn, New York is just incomparable. Or it could be the over-inhalation of butter popcorn from the Regal next door. We picked this hotel for its convenient proximity to the start/finish of the Five Boro bike tour. You're right by the water and the Hudson River Greenway that takes you uptown; there's also Brookfield Plaza and its plethora of entertainment, shopping, and restaurants. Couldn't have picked a better spot. The room was glorious, with a little office suite area, separate bathroom and shower, and the bed. Stepping foot inside, I momentarily forgot we were in the heart of the city because it was palatial sized by NYC hotel standards. Space for two people to walk around from the door to the bed? Basically unheard of. There's also a partition separating the office from the bedroom if one person wakes up early/goes to bed late. Extra bonus: the rain shower and lux Byredo bath products. After a freezing cold bike ride through the boroughs, this was heavenly. (Only downside to the room: the door to the bathroom is not really a door but merely a slight barrier. So you'll become very familiar with your fellow occupant's sounds, if you aren't already.) We grabbed a lunch at the downstairs restaurant - food was okay, nothing particularly inspired, but did the trick. Everyone we interacted with were friendly. I will say, the elevators were pretty slow during rush hours, but that's about the only fault I can find. We only stayed one night and I left wishing we could've had one more day to enjoy the other parts of the hotel, like the gym and rooftop bar. read more

Average is how I would describe this hotel. In any other city, this is branded a Doubletree, maybe a Hilton, in NYC, it's a Conrad. No other Conrads would allow this one to share a table with them. Where do I start? I'm a Lifetime Diamond, I'm not new to hotels, I am most certainly not new to the Conrad brand, it is one o fly favorite brands, and this is no Conrad. Super impressive lobby, which is where I think the Forbes reviewer spent their time, doubtful they visited a room. The trim outside my room is falling off - literally, (pictured) my room is tired and small. I'm in a 'king suite', and it's smaller than what I would normally find for a similar price, or less, in Manhattan. I would hate to see what a 'standard' room is. The sink is literally two feet away from the toilet. If you are taller than 5'10'', you'll likely feel compelled to bend over a little in the shower, it's a low ceiling. Though I will say, this is the best water pressure I have experienced in NYC, excellent controls and as I said, superb pressure. The minibar is apparently 'sometimes' locked, you have to dial '0' to get them to come an unlock it, I'm not sure what kind of clientele they are accustomed to, but I don't think I have ever stayed at a hotel that was $800 for the night, out of season, where I needed to ask the concierge to unlock the minibar. Of course, you'll need the minibar if you arrive after 1045pm because the bar closes at 11pm, yes, even on a Friday. No food either. Go out to one of the two open bars close by, the closest is about 13 minutes if you walk briskly. Not so great after a day of travel. But you won't get room service or a bar here after 1045pm. The room I was given was on the 2nd floor, don't ask about the view, I see cars, that's it, just cars. The Ikea quality furniture in the room certainly helped me feel like my money was well spent - in the lobby. Frankly it feels like the owners spent all the money on art (though half of the art in the corridors - again, a cruise kind of vibe in the tiny corridors) still have the folds in them. The lobby is very impressive, outstanding; shame they didn't save a little budget for the rooms, because the lobby promises something the rooms can't deliver. As for cleanliness, meh. It's OK, the sink had hairs in it, probably the cleaners, hopefully. Carpet had crumbs all over the one side of the bed, always comforting. I have not been disappointed in a Conrad for a long time - until now. This is average at best, truly not worth the money, if I had paid half this, I would still feel aggrieved. Did they get anything right you might wonder? Well, they have a nice filtered water unit in the room and they give you two small tin flasks to fill up. It's quiet, my room is about 100 feet from the lobby and I can't hear them, so that's nice. Would I recommend you stay here? Well that depends; are you in town for corporate stuff, and the company is paying? You'll be fine. Looking for luxury downtown? Absolutely not. read more

Amazing location right by the water and the infamous Battery Park which has long sweeping views of the river and even a boat shuttle for crossing. This location has multiple parking garages nearby that avoids the $125 nightly valet parking charges from the hotel, which essentially parks there a block away anyways ($65 if you pay with Park Whiz directly instead). You have a Regal Movie theater in the building and a rooftop lounge with a bar upstairs. A huge shopping center directly across the street and Chinatown only a 15 mins walk away. The downtown financial center and the original World Trade Center is only 5 mins walk away. The Hotel itself is a modern building with luxury touches, it just needs a better menu for the current restaurant, which seemed a bit less appealing and lack luster (wish it was more ethnic or had some more high end choices). I believe this may be temporary, since other Conrad restaurants in other cities like in DC here, are more luxurious in food choices. The stay itself was super comfortable and I would definitely be back to stay in such a relaxing place, ask for a water view if possible. read more

This is the only hotel that has a strong perfume smell when you enter it. It's everywhere in the hotel. Such a strong essence. Wonder how they distribute the smell throughout the whole hotel. The sweet orange smell just consumes you but in a good way. You end up smelling like sweet orange everywhere in your hair, skin, and clothes. I always have to go through this hotel to go to the Regal movie theater. They are both connected in the same building. The hotel is very nice and all the hotel rooms are opened to the atrium. My husband and I stayed here for a quick anniversary trip and we are VERY glad we did. Beautiful location but be prepared to walk a few blocks for access to the subway. We arrived late due to a late flight on a cold night it was so nice to check into a beautiful hotel room and get warm and cozy after a long day of traveling. Our room had a great view, very clean and very spacious for a NYC room. We even got chocolate cake and champagne to celebrate which was very much appreciated. The room did not disappoint. It was very large and had great enemies in it. There were robes, slippers, make up remover wipes, Q-tips, cotton circles, and even lotion, which is great for your dry skin in the cold New York months. Although all the things were great in the room, the best was the shower. It was a waterfall shower, which you really actually felt like you were under a waterfall. There was so much water coming out. It was a great massage on my shoulders. I would stay here again just for the shower alone. we were able to dine at their restaurant twice for breakfast and lunch and it was very delicious. My partner and I stayed for a weekend evening, and this hotel lives up to its 5-star rating for its excellent service, view, and hospitality. It's located in Battery Park City, roughly ten minutes walking from both the ACE and 123 subway lines, as well as a few bus routes that can take you to Chinatown, West Village, and further north. You walk in from the western end, and accessible escalators and/or elevators take you to the lobby for check-in. There's also a restaurant open for meal service, although we opted for NYC's restaurants themselves instead. The staff was very kind, helping us with storing luggage as we arrived into the city early. All the rooms are suite-style, and we stayed in one that faced the Hudson River (which I highly recommend!). It was a beautiful interior, with an in-room water filter for your bottles and you receive a complimentary Conrad-branded bottle upon entry. It was evident quickly that the hospitality was excellent; we received everything from our bags to a toothbrush delivered by room service directly to us. The view was the finishing touch to a wonderful stay that I only wish was longer! read more

Honestly, if you're visiting New York there is NO reason to not stay at The Conrad. I mean you talking about a top notch hotel with excellent wait staff and attendants. The cleanliness was top tier and we were accommodated in every aspect. Came here during December, about a week before Christmas. The decorations were beautiful and the entryway to the hotel did it for me. I will say the restaurant within The Conrad was very subpar, but it'll never take away from the hotel itself. It's located in what seems like the heart of it all. It's easy to navigate from here to various other parts of the city. We love this Conrad hotel. We used to live in NYC and this is where we stay whenever we come back to the city. It's located in battery park, which is a very family friendly location with lots of parks and green space nearby. All the rooms here are suites, so you have a separate living room and bedroom (also a nice large shower). The breakfast here is okay (you're better off going anywhere nearby) and room service menu is a bit limited. It's also close to a shopping center with lots of restaurants and easy access to taxis. read more

We also told them it was our anniversary and they sent up some chocolate covered strawberries, a bottle of pellegrino, some nuts and olives, and a bottle of bubbly. It was wonderful. We had an upgraded suite and it was great. The room is modern without being cold. Room service breakfast was above average. Service was great. Rooftop bar was cool. Severely Understaffed with Non-Functional Services - Stay Away My wife and I have stayed at Conrad Tokyo, one of our absolute favorite hotels. We didn't expect this Conrad to be as amazing as Tokyo, but we were still severely disappointed by the experience here. Upon arrival, only one front desk agent was serving over 20 guests. We waited 20 minutes just to receive our room keys. As Hilton Diamond members, we attempted to use our $50 credit for room service, but the phone line directed us to a full voicemail box. We called the concierge, who redirected us to the same broken line. We messaged the front desk via the Hilton app, but received no response. We then called the Hilton Help Center, who transferred us to the front desk, but still received no response. We went to the front desk in person. The agent called room service and got the same result, then told us "it's just how it is". We had to order directly from the restaurant for pickup ourselves. Most desserts were unavailable, and the only options were chocolate cake, gelato, and sorbet and had a wait time of over 2 hours (just for ice cream). This hotel has multiple system failures, unresponsive staff, and dismissive attitudes. It was difficult to use our member benefits. This experience didn't meet basic hospitality standards, let alone Conrad's reputation. We will not be returning to this hotel and strongly recommend you stay away until management addresses these serious operational issues. read more

I was in New York for the Fast Company Innovation Festival and this was the perfect spot to stay nearby. I was really impressed from check in on during my five night stay. Not only was staff friendly and helpful at check in, the continued to be for the remainder of my stay. The door man walked me out to an Uber several times with an umbrella when it was sprinkling, which was such a kind touch. I ate at the lobby bar one night and my food was delicious, although very pricey. The bartender/server was absolutely slammed with a crush of patrons but was still so warm and personable. I think that's really special and honestly pretty rare. My room had a view of the Hudson River, which was beautiful especially at dusk. My favorite part about the room other than the view was the water refill station that was built into the wall. I'm big on staying hydrated, so I took full advantage of having this awesome refill station. They even provided a refillable container. Such a helpful and classy addition to my experience rather than just having a few plastic bottles of water waiting. I would absolutely stay in this hotel again! read more

I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere. As a frequent Hilton guest who has consistently received excellent service, this weekend stay was exceptionally disappointing. Multiple unresolved issues lead to an overpriced, frustrating experience. EDIT: looking at the most recent reviews on here, it seems like my experience may be more of what is typical now. EDIT #2: I received a COMPLETE REFUND for the room cost on the night there was an error for the upgrade charge, so I do appreciate that these efforts were done to make it right (changed from 1 stars to 3 stars). Room Key Malfunction: Our room keys failed repeatedly throughout the entire stay. After working once at check in, the keys became unreliable. Each time we returned to our room, the keys would glitch in the elevator, then completely fail at our door. We made countless trips to the front desk for resets, yet the keys still wouldn't work. Staff never offered to send someone up to help despite the ongoing problem. Every single room entry involved this exhausting cycle (depending on the front desk line, it typically took about 30 minutes to get into our room each time). There is no point having a nice hotel room you cannot access. $355 Overcharge: At check in, I asked if it would be possible to upgrade from one king to two queen beds. I explicitly confirmed twice that this would be complementary given my status (only brining this up because I don't want it to be misinterpreted that I thought I would receive a free upgrade for no reason), and the front desk agent confirmed it would be free. I was then charged $355. I contacted Hilton customer service, but the issue remains unresolved (though the customer service representatives were very helpful, so I am hoping this issue will be fixed). Room Service Unavailable: We called room service Sunday afternoon, and no one answered despite the phone ringing for over 20 minutes. I had a $100 food and beverage credit that went completely unused since we could not contact room service and we were too nervous about leaving the room and again having issues with getting back in and possibly missing our flights. Front Desk Service Failure: Since we were unable to reach room service, we ordered delivery. When our food arrived without silverware, we called the front desk asking if they bring some up (again, we avoided leaving the room given the key situation). After 30 minutes with no silverware, we called again. The receptionist explained it was room service's responsibility and offered to transfer us, despite us just explaining that room service wasn't answering. The phone rang another 15 minutes before we gave up and used container lids as utensils... Additional Service Issues: On Friday, we purchased toiletries and asked the front desk to deliver them to our room while they resolved our key issue, since we were already late for a dinner reservation. We got back from dinner and were let into our room, but our toiletries were nowhere to be found. The ongoing key problems made us late to multiple reservations or events. Most notably was a dinner at a Michelin restaurant that I had been saving up for for multiple months, and they were very strict about truncating the meal if guests were late. Outdated Amenities: Lastly, this isn't a huge deal, but the TV lacks streaming services or screen casting capability, which seems outdated for a hotel of this caliber. While any single issue might be understandable, the combination created a thoroughly disappointing stay. After staying at Conrad in London a couple of months ago, I had high expectations and was very let down by this hotel. We arrived around noon and chose to valet park the car and allow them to hold onto our luggage because our room was not quite ready. We were told we would receive a phone call when the room was ready so we elected to walk around the city. I had my service dog with me and by check-in time at 1500-we still had not heard anything but returned to the hotel anyway. The room still was not ready, however we were placed into a different room. Check-in was very rushed-with me just being handed my room key without explaining what was offered or where things were. (I got a tour in London with a welcome glass of wine) The room was fine, however, the water filtration kept falling off the wall and broke one of the glasses. When we went down to report it, they did offer to fix which we declined. The bed while being advertised as a King was definitely not. We have a King bed at home and this was not even close. At that time, there was a manager nearby who noticed my dog and asked if we received a bed and bowls for him, which we had not. She apologized and had them sent up to the room for us, which was really nice. The most disappointing part of the trip came when it was time to check out. We went on a morning walk and got back to the hotel a little before 1100. I spoke to the valet and let them know that we wanted to leave at noon, and asked to have the car here as well as to have someone come up and assist with our luggage. I told them it could be anytime between then and noon, as we were already packed. At 1215 we went downstairs and saw our car was there, however, nobody had come up to help us with our luggage. I informed them of this and received no apologies. In comparing London to New York, there is no way I would ever believe this was a 5-star hotel as that is not how we were treated. The staff in London was very attentive, asked why we were visiting, and made sure they went above and beyond to help us celebrate and enjoy our trip. I did expect the same in New York, especially with it being my birthday weekend and I was sadly disappointed. For $600 a night or 90,000 points; I could have stayed somewhere else. read more

Best water pressure in NYC! Really, one of the greatest hotel showers out there. I'm not joking. Stayed here for a conference. Suites are huge. They pay attention to all the small details, like having a water filter on tap in your room. Staff were great, bed was comfy as a cloud, everything was working well and I can't say enough about this 5 star experience. I'd love to stay here again. read more

My friends and I had a good stay at the Conrad Hotel. We were a group of four that came for Labor Day weekend. We stayed in room 1137 which had a king bed and a queen pull out couch. It was a pretty big suite. We appreciated that we were able to close frosted dividers between rooms, however it would've been nicer if they were solid for light that spilled through them. Our biggest complaint was the bathroom situation. The toilet had a frosted door that didn't latch so you could hear everything. For a big group it was a bit awkward to use the toilet. It also had a frosted glass that bled into the room with the queen sofa bed, so if you were asleep in that room, the light from the bathroom would wake you up. I did appreciate that they had two sinks. One in the toilet space and one outside of it. The shower was separate and had a rain feature and handheld feature. It took me a long time to figure out how the temperature worked on the shower. For that room the top shower handle turns on the rain showerhead, the middle shower handle turns on the hand held shower head, and the bottom shower handle has temperature numbers on it. To make it hotter, you'll want to follow the arrows with the bigger numbers and vise versa for colder. The hotel was fully booked for Labor Day Weekend and they were a bit short staffed. On our first night there, they had to send someone to give us bedding for the sofa couch. It took over 30 minutes and it was already past 1am. This was no one's fault and the gentleman who brought it for us, although stressed, was very kind. I was sharing the bed with a friend so wanted my own sheet and blanket, this was really hard to get. It felt like they didn't want to give me the extra sheet. The next day, even after I turned on the privacy button, they took my sheet.. It felt very hard to keep the extra sheet I wanted. The sofa bed was comfy. I was grateful that it was firm and there were no springs poking at us. The guys enjoyed the king bed. The best part of this hotel is the Loopy Doopy rooftop bar and the $50 credit you get daily. My friends and I adored the rooftop. We had an amazing view of Jersey City and the Statue of Liberty. We loved our Poptails (a cocktail where they put a popsicle in it). They were so refreshing and such a great way to close out summer. The lobby in this hotel is stunning! Everyone here is professional and accommodating. I had a late flight home and was able to leave my baggage on my checkout day. I'd recommend this hotel. read more

This was a TERRIBLE hotel experience. The room I was in was an internet dead spot. I could not get service to my phone by cell service (Verizon) and could not connect to internet through the hotel's guest network or my personal hotspot. When I contacted the front desk, they quickly passed me onto their "Guest IT Services" in India, and I sat on a call with the representative for 20 minutes while she instructed me to turn on and off my devices (which I had already done) and then said she was resetting the Guest Network, etc. When she could not get that to work, she created a ticket number and said she would be reaching out to the hotel's on-site IT, who would manually reset the router and then get in touch with me directly to assist. She provided me a ticket/case number (1705537). No one ever got in touch with me. As a result of this, I missed a work meeting and ended up checking out and moving hotels. At checkout, I shared my experience with the front desk and told them that if they have dead zones in the hotel, it is absolutely unconscionable not to disclose this to guests, and particularly to business travelers. Her response - a blank stare and "I'm so sorry about that." As soon as I left the hotel, my cell service came back. And I am still waiting for a response to my IT ticket (shocker). Will absolutely never return to this dead zone hotel. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here one night so we could be closer to Chinatown for lunar new year and it was a wonderful experience. Our room was very spacious and we were very impressed by how many amenities were in our room. There was an original Nespresso machine with pods, and a water filter station to refill our water bottles. In addition to the water filter in the room, other green initiatives the hotel has taken is normal sized shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower instead of lots of little sample sized ones. It was also a nice quality shampoo and conditioner too, which is usually not the case for hotel toiletries. All of the hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. We also really enjoyed our breakfast at the hotel's restaurant the morning we checked out. This is an excellent place to stay in Battery Park. read more

I wanted to love this place, but it was hard. Here are some important details: 1. Rooms are much bigger than the one in Midtown and was really happy that I was upgraded to a higher category suite as a Diamond. 2. Requesting for toiletries took quite a while -- anywhere from 1-2 hours. 3. Seems like the Conrad Bull is never in stock. Same situation with Midtown and was disappointing. I mean how could you not have such an essential in stock? I don't know. 4. There's no rain shower. With how the shower is set up, the floors are easily flooded after a normal shower. I'd say this place is much better than Midtown, but still left to be desired. Don't get me wrong -- it's a beautiful place. Would I come here again? Maybe. read more

Staff was really nice. A lady at the check-in was friendly to my kid and upgraded us to a room with the river view, which was wonderful. We had requested a pack-and-play for my toddler upon booking. We also made sure the request went thru upon check-in. We still did not get a pack-and-play so we had to call and ask for the third time. The room size is okay. The shower stall was nice and big with good water pressure but there were some hairs....yuck. Not really acceptable for a luxury hotel. You could hear loud banging noise from upstairs and the furniture showed wear and tear. The bed was really comfortable and I loved the in-room water server and free reusable water bottles. Overall, not a bad experience but definitely could have been better for the price tag and being a 5 star luxury hotel. read more

We loved our two night stay at the Conrad. The location is ideal- our kind one bedroom suite had a gorgeous view of the park and river. Our 8 year old said that it was the most comfortable pull out she's ever slept in- high praise from a seasoned traveler. Our bed was super comfortable. Beth was so kind to our girls during check in. Dinner in the restaurant was tasty and convenient. The room service for breakfast was wonderful. My favorite part of this hotel is the atrium/light well. It's extraordinary. Stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed it! The hotel is very modern. Staff was friendly. Rooms were great. We had a suite room with 2 different sliding doors to separate the rooms. Things that stood out to me: The refillable water station in your room. This was super handy and prevented people from paying for those annoying $8 water bottles in your hotel rooms. The room's sensors and light controls. Very modern to the touch. The privacy button next to your door which you could light up if you needed something or wanted no service. Very large shower for NYC standards and the water pressure was amazing. Room itself was very big for NYC standards. The hotel is also connected to a regal movie theater (11 screens?) which was a nice touch. Could come in handy, especially if you have kids. There was a shake shack down the street from the hotel which is convenient too. We liked the street that the hotel was on because it wasn't too crowded when getting picked up by your Lyfts. Cars would often stop in the middle of the road and were fine. This was convenient when checking out and valet had to get your car too. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are wanting to stay downtown and be in a more quiet area. read more

Loved the huge walk-in shower room with the rainfall shower head and full size shampoo/conditioner/shower gels/lotions. Having the Nespresso machine and high quality selection of teas in the room was a nice touch. My third time to NY but my first time having so much space to lounge in my hotel room. The food in the hotel restaurant was not great but they had a nice selection of wines by the bottle at decent prices. The Asian gentleman taking care of us each night was great and felt nice to be greeted by the same familiar friendly face every night upon our return from trekking around the city. Every little thing we ever needed was tended to promptly as the front desk staff was always just a text away. I would definitely stay here again. It's much quieter and more relaxing than staying Midtown. read more

My sister and I went to New York our hometown for the 9/11 memorial celebration and we stayed at the Conrad downtown. It was my first time at this hotel, and I must admit, I was really impressed. New York, chic, sexy lounge, amazing bar with very handsome bartenders . . . They were friendly also. Ha!! Great customer service, beautiful rooms and just an up-to-date environment. Reasonably priced for a downtown New York hotel and again very nice. It will probably be the hotel that I stay at when I choose to stay downtown. Easy to grab an Uber or a cab, walking distance to the World Trade Center, and a great bagel spot right around the corner. I am a hotel snob, so my recommendation means a lot!
