Catio that changed my house and my life. Last June I had Conroe Awning and Screen install the screened in Catio in my back yard. It was a big purchase to me and I picked Conroe Awning and Screen out of 7 other quotes because Luis listened to what I was looking for most. I wanted a place where I could bring my cats outside and not be attacked by weather or bugs. He said this was possible with a foam insulated roof and pet screening. There was a similar design style I liked my neighbor had and he knew he could match it. Then I mentioned about future proofing it with electrical and he even worked that into the mix. After I signed the quote the wait was tough for the factory to create the materials but once the materials were in the build and install was only 1 day! It was crazy. The installers were organized and helpful throughout the process. Picking and choosing height of the kick boards, ceiling, and where the screens should end were all decided upon before the install began. The installers had some great advice here too like leaving some lips for rain drift and not pushing the screen all the way to the roofs end. I used the Catio that night and have been using my back yard more than I ever have. My cats love it too and will wait by my back door at times wanting to go outside to watch birds. The pet screening on the Catio also keeps animals out. I have a few squirrels using it as a vertical highway now but at least they are not coming inside. luis t. and his conroe awning and screen company installed our motorized sunscreens in 2008. never had an issue until 2023 when i accidentally deprogrammed one of the control units. one call to luis and he walked me thru how to re-program the unit - everything good - no charge! great company to do business with, they still had all my records. i plan to call them back again in 2038 : - ) read more

We have one of their awnings in our back yard and are very pleased with it. We have had it about 5 years and after about 4 we called and had them come out and put a new canvas on it. Both times we were happy with the service and they fit us in to their schedule the best they could. I would recommend this company. We didn't know who to call and contacted these guys. The prices seemed high, but we needed it right away and they said it could be done in a couple of weeks. Well, we waited a very long time for our awnings - over 4 weeks (paid 50% down too). When it arrived it was professionally installed, but there was a gap between the awning and the house. So water would come through it when it rained (kind of defeats the purpose of an awning). I wasn't happy, but not mad until I priced other awning companies. These guys are prohibitively expensive and not that well organized! Save your money and go with someone else. read more

I am super impressed with this company. I bought 2 UV screens about 2 months ago. The purchase involved two meetings. The first appointment, they answered my many questions and helped me pick the screen that was best suited for my needs. For instance, I chose to forego the electric retractor and decided to lift and lower my screens manually. They respected my decision and truthfully gave me all the pros and cons. The screens I ordered were ready for installation earlier than the promised date!!! The second trip was installation. We needed some post repaired on our outdoor patio. We requested they send someone to verify the color of posts before ordering, but they asked for picture instead. They ordered the posts, and when the technician arrived it was determined the posts were the wrong color. Instead of reordering the correct color, they took our deposit for the work and didn't provide any other support and disregarded further communications. Warning if you do business with this vendor and put up a deposit. read more

I hear Lonnie K. I waited and waited and finally phoned them and it was like, " can we install next week? " as if my order was just sitting there. They arrived on time and installed some of my automated window sunscreen and then found they did not have the right "zipper" size parts ( this is the tracks that the screen run up and down on". So it was another 3 weeks to have this completed. In the end the electrical cable that was to be fastened to the wall was left hanging, I will have to attach it myself. Also they were messy with caulking and the screen is not properly centered on the window ( it is off a few inches, hard to see unless you really look, but this reflects lack of pride in their work ). read more

WOW I am a perfectionist and my fixed patio awning plus a privacy shade was installed today, and PERFECTLY done. Turned out even better than I expected. The installers were on time and did a superb installation. The fabric is top notch and heavy along with a very sturdy frame they did in bronze.
