I ordered a Pups N Posies arrangement for my best friend. Look at what we received. I sent the photo of the delivery and the advertisement to the owner and he had the nerve to say "it's exactly the same". It looks like a child did it for a DIY project. He kept saying it's the angle but i saw them in person and the picture made it look better. For $90, this is what I got. Shame on you for not taking accountability for a crappy job!! I never once asked for my money back and he said "I'm not refunding you". He then said he'd pick it up but he'd charge me for pickup and delivery. You make 1-800-flowers/Conroys look BAD. Family owned for 20 years?! Mind blowing. This man argued with me for 6 minutes about it looking exactly like the picture. What is received by the recipient is more often than not an embarrassing "representation" of what I purchased. Did Conroys in Encino even look at the photo to get an idea of how to structure the bouquet so it is appealing? I know they have their books of what the bouquets should look like in their stores for reference. It looks as if they just shoved a bunch of flowers in a vase and went to lunch. I'm finished. The worst flower shop ever. What a rip off ! They charged my parents $80 for a dozen rose bouquet that I could have walked in and paid $20 for. The roses didn't even last 36 hrs. If I could give give place a 0, I would. Yesterday, I received a Mother's Day bouquet as a gift from my family in Florida. They were left on our front porch. The roses in the arrangement were old. I phoned Conroy's in Encino and the man that answered told me that he would not replace the bouquet with fresh flowers unless 1-800-Flowers called him and told him to do so. Today, Mothers Day, they were droopy and smelly and I had to through them out. What kind of customer service is this? This was not a cheap arrangement. Beautiful flower arrangements and outstanding customer service. I was in a pinch because I needed flowers delivered on relatively short notice across town. These guys came through for me. I was very impressed by the quality and freshness of their flowers, and the great designs of their arrangements. I was even more impressed by how polite and helpful they were. There was even a mix up regarding an order (this I later found out was a mistake on my part - the flower shop had actually done everything correctly just as requested), and even then, they were super nice and very helpful in working with me to figure out the problem. Like the many reviews before mine, I was shocked with the piss poor quality of the flowers Conroy's attempted to pawn off on my wife for our Anniversary. The roses were old, dried, droopy, and crusty. Other flowers had snapped stems and crushed petals. The 1800flowers customer service person first tried to tell me they'd only refund half my money and send me a $20 gift card towards a future order because they'd already delivered the order. I pushed back and insisted I wanted all my money returned and the florist could pick up damn the flowers. I took photos within hours of delivery so they couldn't later lamely try to claim they delivered fresh and - of course - the flowers wilted after a few days. 1800flowers and Conroy's should be ashamed and embarassed of the poor quality arrangement. If they're not, I'm here to publicly shame them, with this review left as a reminder. To be clear, I will NEVER use either of their services again. read more
