I have repeatedly received flowers from this company that were ordered through FTD from Germany. They are not fresh looking when delivered and usually die with 3-4 days. When complaining about this being a recurring problem, I end up speaking to a very rude manager/owner who only is interested in telling me how long they have been in business and how great they are. He insinuates that I am the problem. I am embarrassed to send close-up photos to my friends in Germany. But what I ordered and what was delivered were very different. Flowers were not the colors I chose, and in a box, when the arrangement I ordered was pinks and peaches and in a vase. I called and the manager said that that sometimes substitutions are required--fine--and that the same flowers as those pictured were in the arrangement--but I would have liked to have been given the chance to choose a different arrangement with the pink color palette because these were for the a new mom of a baby girl. read more

I really hate to leave this review, but I really feel that I have no choice. I used to order from this place a lot, the quality and the service used to be so much better. I stopped coming for a while because the last time I picked up an arrangement for my grandmother, they died the very next day. I wanted to give them another chance because they are local to where I live and I like supporting local businesses, however, I was left extremely disappointed again. I purchased a bouquet of flowers for my mom's birthday. And the very next day most of the flowers were dead. So I called, whoever I spoke with told me to bring them in and that they would refresh the bouquet. Odd but that's what I did because it felt wrong to have spent that much on flowers that died the next day. He literally picked out the dead ones replaced them in the same bouquet, and proceeded to tell me that my mom's kitchen was warm. Which was not the case. I've purchased flowers at Trader Joe's, Ralph's, Vons, etc that have lasted substantially longer When I came in, I specifically said I want flowers that will not die the next day, including the fillers. I'm extremely disappointed. It's really embarrassing to give someone flowers that die the next day. I will sadly not be ordering from here anymore. I have not written a review in a long time, but I honestly feel like it's much needed here. To start off, I have to say that It is a very cute shop that has been here for a very long time and given the lack of flower stores in the area I've been here quite a few times throughout the years. I love that it not only has flowers but very elegant little gifts, great assortment of Voluspa candles and diffusers, chocolate boxes, balloons etc. in addition to that, some pre-made arrangements are pretty. Now to the issue. Aside from being heavily overpriced (I.e a tiny bunch of tulips is $24.99 while the same exact bunch is $9.99 at Ralph's next door), the people working there have absolutely no idea how to do an arrangement or wrap flowers. Not that I'm in any way a flower arrangement expert but when I say the last two times were bad, they were BAD. Both times I asked for a round vs. a side bouquet and a guy couldn't do it himself so he handed it off to a lady (same lady both times) and the second time she told me it's $5 more for such wrap... mkay, then when she was making the arrangement the first time the bouquet looked crazy with flowers at different heights, stems sticking out (and if you're thinking it could have been an artistic vision, NO, trust me, it didn't look normal at all). I, being always extremely uncomfortable to ask people to redo something, had to very politely ask her to make it more round, she seemed to not understand and get annoyed, so I had to come up and pull some of the flowers down by the stem myself to try and fix it (still very polite, with a smile "so sorry", "excuse me") . Left the shop that time thinking "what was that". So fast forward to today, I'm not sure what's gotten to her but it seemed like someone pissed her off and she decided to express that in the wrapping. I wish someone was filming this. It's not like something wasn't working there and she was struggling, it looked like she's had enough and just wasn't up for spending 3 minutes on doing a neat job. Never asked me what wrap I wanted, I asked her to do a brown wrap, I can't even describe what it looked like, I politely said it didn't look right, she (super ANNOYED) jerked another piece of paper, 3 seconds - awful and crooked and completely bald on one side, I say it doesn't look right again, she goes "did you want paper on all sides? -umm how else?! So finally she takes an extra minute and does something that resembles a wrap (still one side completely crooked and another flopping). I came home and carefully unwrapped and re-wrapped it based on a YouTube video lol. Did a pretty decent job, and it's my first try. Oh, they also never asked me what color ribbon, just chose whatever they wanted. Advice for the management: please, invest into training and also customer service. If I'm overpaying for the flowers, I'd love to at least get a good arrangement service. read more

This review is a little late but.... a couple of months ago my mom ordered flower delivery for my birthday as a surprise. The initial delivery that came was not good. It was left outside my secure building and incomplete. It seemed as though maybe it was taken out for delivery before it was ready? No bow, no balloon. Needless to say my mom was really upset. She called to see what had happened and the Flower Factory redelivered the delivery with everything as intended. I've been coming here for years. Usually I deal with two gentlemen that are always in front which are really nice and care about the business. They have flowers ready to go and I'm in and out with balloons in minutes. If I need anything they take care of it with a smile and on top of the business This last visit was very disappointing. The person helping me yesterday asked the florist to freshen up the bouquet and the florist had a horrible attitude when she was asked to freshen up the bouquet. Very unprofessional! She just started plucking the dead sections off and was saying I already did this. Pricing is very fair and again LOCALLY owned, but goes all over La (did our event in Malibu) no need to look elsewhere! They were very flexible and worked with me, delivered my large order super last minute and decently far away for a great price. Not a fan. If you have to, only use them for local deliveries. You should be okay then. They were my go-to florist for a long time. Unfortunately, they really fell through for a Father's Day delivery in Las Vegas. The delivery never made it. They either weren't aware or didn't care. Both are bad. Once they were made aware that the delivery never arrived, they made a lame attempt to fix it. I was finally informed that the order was cancelled because the florist (in Vegas) didn't have succulents. Yes, that's right...a florist in the desert couldn't locate cactus. Anyhow I found a florist and miraculously cacti was delivered. They did nothing for the inconvenience, not even like a $10 credit. And zero empathy. Just "Hey, this isn't our fault. Here's your money back." Here's an idea: Don't agree to deliveries in other states if you're not going to take responsibility for fulfilling the order. I was at the JellyCats section for a while and I was videochatting with my son to show him all the different ones to see which one he wanted. The WIFI must be very slow in that store because the video kept turning off. So it took me a while to choose what my son wanted. I was standing in front of the toys and the owner with the black shirt standing behind the counter told me "excuse me Miss, excuse me miss " so I can move out of the way for another customer. (The customer didn't even ask me to move, and could have gone around me. There was space.) That was very rude! And when I went to the counter to buy 1 toy, he Said " all that time and I thought you're buying all of them" which isn't funny! It's very offensive and sarcastic. When you're a paying customer you should be treated respectfully, and even if you're not buying anything, the same treatment should apply. Because word of mouth means everything! This will be the first and last time I go to their store and I wouldn't recommend anyone else going. It's like all the owner cares about is how much money you spend in there. The owner was a jerk. We placed an online order balloons to be delivered to a local hospital to cheer up our friend after back surgery. He sent me a picture of an empty bag and note saying who it was from but no balloons or explanation. After a couple phone calls was told the hospital has a policy of no balloons and that's common for some units at the hospital. You'd think 1. that warning would have been given at the time of the order if it had happened before and 2. we would have been notified of the situation once the empty bag was delivered without having to investigate with more than one call to find out what happened. They did deliver it to the house the next day but there was still a miscommunication because they told me they'd call me in the morning to find out what time the patient was being discharged so that it didnt just sit on the front porch in the sun too long - and they didn't - they just delivered in the morning. Giving 2 stars just because they did deliver the balloons but their communication was the worst. read more
