This is a great store but the lady with the long black hair who is always working there is rude, miserable & obviously hates her job. Such a shame because the owner is so nice. Update: March 2014. PLEASE ALL NEW MOMS OR OLD ONES, LIKE ME. PLEASE DONT ENTER THIS STORE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!! Like I said, I am an older mom. My second time around at 40!! So I'm not that stroller, car seat savvy, I'll be the first to admit that. So that's why I asked for the help of the worker there. Well, first off, the car seat she sold me was for toddlers. After I'd already told her how old my baby was. Then the stroller didn't have any safety belts inside. It was something ridiculous like $200, used!! So I'm thinking I'm getting the best there is & safest for my child. Right?? WRONG!!! So, 3 days later I bring the items back after having the time to go over & clean them up really good is when I noticed the seat-belts were missing & I didn't notice anything wrong with the car seat except for the sticker that said, for 2yr. & up. I think? Something like that anyway. The same girl was working there again & she even said she had a baby the same age as mine. So I trusted that this stuff would work for my baby as well. Didn't happen. So, she tells me. Mam, we don't sell strollers without seat-belts!! Like I took them off for what reason I still don't know?? I've got nothing to gain from taking seat-belts. LOL!! Then just stood there staring at me like, what else can I not help u with? So I asked her if she could call her boss, the owner? So she acts really put out & calls her. She tells her if I'd have brought those items in sooner she might have been able to do something. But I guess 3 days is too long!! I forgot to mention that I live in Sarasota, so it's not a 5min. drive to that store!! And all I wanted was to trade the items for ones that I could use. Didn't want a dime of money back!!! Just a car seat & stroller I could actually use!!! I finally said forget about it & went to Target & bought the set. New in the box. No missing pieces there, how strange!! I came here looking for a rock and play sleeper for a friend which they had (yay)! The staff was friendly and greeted us as we walked into the store. The store of a little confusing but we found our way around. The had a much small selection of seats\swings and clothes compared to Once Upon a Child but their prices we lower (only by 5-10) dollars but it was still a bargain. They did in the back fo the store have baby furniture like cribs and changing tables. read more

I give the store a one star because I can't give it zero stars. The people are rude, they won't let children play with the toys before they buy them even though the toys are used and most of them don't work correctly. I would strongly recommend staying away from the store read more

Consigners beware.... Do not do any business with this company again. I gave here a lot of clothing and jackets with tags and she claims to have only sold everything for less than 20 dollars. Since I have been busy with my new born child, I have not been able to pass by or call. She stated to me that I forfeited my money and that she has no idea how much it was. She also stated there is a contracted that I signed and when I asked for it, she became very rude and hung up the phone. Very unprofessional and her attitude was uncalled for. read more

I'm disappointed with my once favorite children's consignment store. I feel like the goal for the owner is now quantity over quality. I shopped here regularly because the prices were amazing and the clothing was in the best condition compared to other local consignment stores. Unfortunately, in the last year the store has gotten more and more cluttered with just random things. I brought my sisters to the shop recently and both commented that the store has turned into a garage sale or goodwill type store. You have to weed through random things in hopes of finding something good. Also I have to say I purchased an American Girl item here and the price was high which I didn't mind horribly because it was still slightly discounted. I got it home to find it was broken. I know I should have checked it over more thoroughly before I purchased it but I trusted the sales person. That was a mistake. I truly miss the Lil Sprouts where you could find a large selection of unique, well priced, mint condition children's clothing. read more

Great children's consignment shop. Not a much selection as the store across the street (Once Upon a Child) but their prices are much more reasonable. They have a good selection of clothing, accessories, toys, and even maternity clothing, bedding, etc. I stop in here once a month or so. read more

Decent store. There are a variety of things. HOWEVER, when you find some items to be damaged the owner does NOT work a more reasonable price for you. It almost seems as if they hope to sell it without you noticing the damage. I understand the price is already reduced, but the price for some damaged items are still high. SECONDLY, and very important, you should treat and converse with all customers the same. Not give certain races more preference and treat other races indifferent. I've been in this store many times and before my last experience I was quite fond of it. However, in June I went in with my daughter (8months) and the store was kind of a mess. To further the disappointment the blonde woman behind the counter with a younger girl was speaking loudly about how she is going to have to cut her hours or pay her less because the store isn't making any money. This private conversation continued loudly and the woman even stopped and asked if I needed help and then proceeded to complain about money in front of me. I have been shopping and consigning here since my first child was born 6 years ago and at the original location. I haven't had major issues or at least any that weren't resolved in a timely manor. Prices are hit and miss but if you manage to get the clearance items it's awesome. If you have any issues, just talk with them. read more

Do not shop here. Anything with parts or pieces is most likely missing something and anything that takes batteries probably won't work for you once you get home. It's hard to move throughout the store and you have to CHECK EVERYTHING before leaving the store. I bought two toys that took batteries and when I got home and put batteries in them they didn't work. The sales lady said "oh they just need batteries, they work just fine". And I bought something that came in a box and it was missing a part. The box was not marked "as is" or "missing part" and i was told to open EVERY BOX and check all the pieces (surprised by that considering there is supposedly a shop lifting problem here) and if this place considers itself an upscale consignment store that's A JOKE. I'm told that things go missing after being priced because kids go through and move things or people come in a steal the pieces out of the boxes... don't spend your money here. Go anywhere but here! I'm extremely disappointed that I wasted money in this store!!! read more
