As much as I enjoy the convenience of shopping online, there's still some products that are difficult to do without interacting with the product itself. For that Consolidated is one of the few supply companies around that presents a solid selection in store for you to see. There's even a few examples with actual running water. Most likely due to this fact this place gets surprisingly busy and hectic and you may have to wait your turn. There is a decent amount of workers here and they do a good job of trying to serve everyone as rapidly as possible. read more

I walked the entire show room they were four visible employees plus one person helping a couple. Not one person acknowledge me much less ask if I needed help. Apparently business is good they don't need to ask people if they need to be out or wanting my business. I own four homes their loss. read more

I've been here several times over a couple years, sometimes because I'm helping out my plumber and getting a part for him so he can continue working uninterrupted, sometimes because I'm doing a fix (usually small) myself. They usually have what is needed but sometimes it is delivered with a sneer. This is a candy store for bathroom and kitchen remodeling. The staff is amazing -- knowledgeable and have wonderful taste -- and the showroom items are just gorgeous. You never feel pressured and you always are treated as if you are a guest or long lost cousin. I wish I could win the lottery and renovate without limits. So much to choose from -- all so beautiful and all very high quality. They always give you great prices and, if ever there is a problem, even years down the road, they work to get it fixed. All high end name brands, but often you find a good bargain. It's really fun to shop there and, when you come back after a long time, you feel welcomed. Sort of like Cheers for plumbing. Having purchased all of our plumbing supplies for a four bathroom plus kitchen renovation we would have welcomed some responsiveness for the defective items we received. We need a replacement for a bath part and some help with what seems like a defective toilet. We have gotten no response in multiple calls over months and months and have not been able to use our tub in that time. We Recently renovated Our Bathrooms (3). we went to Consolidated , through a friend recommendation . we purchased a Tub roughly ($3,500) Item was discontinued, and we had it sitting at there store until plumber was ready for it. Delivery came today , and tub was damaged . we called consolidated , and they said we have no more more in stock of same model , and that they could call the manufacture to get rebate but would take six months .... i said that was unacceptable time frame . what else can be be done , maybe give me model above it at same price . since they made the damage to the tub delivering it . He said they couldn't honor it , so i am left with either cancelling it or wafting six months ???? I think this is bad business practices , be smart everyone , do not go to this store any more . and employees can never be found either. very bad business, from top to bottom . ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. DO NOT come here. I had an appointment with this place showed up, on crutches only to be turned away when I tried to get someone's attention as I was walking to get in. Not only did they not acknowledge me but furthermore shut and locked the door in my face. As soon as my fiance went to wait to get in, he was told you do not have an appointment. I'd love to know who gave me an appointment. Also impossible to get to and no parking at all. I would never refer someone here again. read more

They may have a great selection but the showroom staff are absolutely awful. They ignore you at best. Once said "I'm going to lunch in a few minutes so I can't help you" , ten minutes later he was still at his desk. No one even says "oh, I will be right with you". When my wife and I walked out a second time, I spoke to the guys at the parts desk and they said everyone complains about the show room staff. I'm a landlord who deals with alot of douchy plumbing supply houses and their equally beyond ridiculous staff in the Bronx. I found this place online two years ago after looking for Kohler parts. This place has consistently great customer service. Went there today for a Kohler part. SUPER friendly guy at the counter knew exactly what I needed without even having to give him the part number. The icing on the cake was when he gave me the part for HALF PRICE! I was totally shocked having fully expected to pay full price and even more. His price was better than Amazon! Who does great stuff like that anymore??? You order from the counter and wait a short time for your part. You can even sit on a stool. Then you pay in a side office. Great lady working there too. All in all a great establishment. I highly recommend them. read more

I needed a a few fittings on a Saturday and my usual supply house wasn't opened as it's summer. Found this place and was shocked that I hadn't known about it before. Easy parking for my work van and the guy at the counter was nice and helpful (unlike the d-bags at Central Plumbing in Yonkers-try going there if you haven't been a plumber for 20 years and see how you're treated). I used this business for my Manhattan bathroom renovation at the recommendation of a friend. The salespeople (Orlando and Doug) were very personable and helpful. I got estimates from several showrooms, and Consolidated had the best prices by a notable amount. I did a lot of legwork on my own and ended up getting many products that were not in their showroom, but they were able to get me everything I wanted. They delivered everything in a timely way, and even took back my shower doors (heavy!) at no cost to me when I decided not to use them. The only niggle was that it was sometimes hard to get in touch for follow-up by phone, because they were very busy. Everything worked out great, though. read more

The service is slow, but good. I would definitely recommend going during the week because they seem swamped on the weekends. I will say that the more prepared you are, the more likely you are going to walk away satisfied. The person who worked with me was super helpful and very nice. Their showroom is well laid out, but not very big, so you don't see a lot of options. The quality of the products, both on display and in the brochures seem very good - and on the pricey side! If you find something elsewhere, check with them before buying - I made the mistake of not calling them and ended up paying far more than I had to! They don't make appointments, but if you call and give them a "heads up", they will make sure to accommodate you. I've worked with Michael on a few project now, and he is far and beyond one of the best (smart/intuitive/knowledgeable) individuals I've worked with on ANYTHING. (If I ever had the opportunity to hire him, I'd do it in a heartbeat! He's THAT good!) He knows the product, anticipates your needs, makes on-point suggestions, and doesn't try to oversell you. I ordered shower and faucet fixtures from this shop for a bathroom remodel. I picked this place because it was convenient, had a nice showroom, a large parking lot, and California Faucets products, which allow you to mix and match different handle and faucet styles. My order was not without glitches. They forgot to order the escutcheon for my shower arm, for instance. But when we realized that, they just gave me a free one. The products took a couple weeks longer to arrive than I was told they would. But all projects have glitches, and when they arose the staffers helped find solutions that worked. I had to switch out the bathtub spout that didn't fit my wall, for instance, and they racked their brains and took some time to find exactly the right replacement part. When the finish on that part, in turn, looked defective after it had been installed for several weeks, they just handed me a new one, no questions asked. I love the quality of the products I got and the staff's willingness to help find the right products and work through problems in an equitable way. I ordered some bathroom cabinetry from Consolidated and the manufacturer sent the wrong items, but I was too far along with my renovation project to wait for new cabinetry. Chris at Consolidated listened to me vent, showed genuine sympathy for my predicament and then did his best to make it right. The true test of a company (and a person) is how they react when things go wrong. Consolidated proved to me that they are a good company with good products, good prices and good people who will stand behind what they sell.
