Amazing local barbque!! Been to almost everywhere in town and have traveled the world eating good barbque. This place definitely stacks up. Got a great side of the road ambiance to it. Order the ribs by the rack, the pulled pork was awesome and the mack n cheese/potatoes salad were to die for. They've got a lot of smoke in their meat and the ribs just fall off the bone. It's fine. All the sides are from the pre-made tubs from the grocery store, which isn't terrible by any means, but it's not going to knock your socks either. Same with the sandwich that I got (brisket), the meat was fine, but seemed like store bought sauce. Found this place on yelp. It is a food truck parked in a plumbing supply store's parking lot. The food was amazing. Had the brisket. Some of the best brisket I have ever had. After reviews on here I tried this place out and was very pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was and the price wasn't to bad either. Wonderfully seasoned and the right combination for tender and moist that will defiantly make want to return. The pulled pork, brisket, and slab of ribs are very tasty. The smoked sausage was good, but not the best I've had. The sauce like many in Nashville is runny and not very thick, but filled with flavor. Just make sure when you order you ask for extra sauce as they didn't put much on the sandwich. Also of note are the baked beans where very good and are worth a try. read more

You cannot beat the value of this place. I finished a walk at the Ravenwood golf course and nearby trail and needed some nourishment. This place showed up and was walkable. They were out of brisket but I got a tender, moist and tasty regular sized pulled pork sandwich with mild sauce. Two sides of cole slaw and potatoes salad for seven bucks! Slaw and salad I think were store bought but portions were good. The pork was more peppery than I expected but very flavorful and delicious. This is definitely a place locals go. There was a slight wait on Sunday at 12:30 but the service was quick. They have some spots you can sit at, mostly wooden porch style, but many people get it to go. The pulled pork was good, the brisket out of this world tender, I swear it falls apart once you try and chew it. One of the best briskets I've had in a long time, and that says a lot about a griller if there brisket comes out like his, you always hope it taste like this place but most of the time it's gonna be dry if you don't know your way around the grill. The sausage was good. I got his potato salad and boy it was on point. Had small chunks of potatoes in not just creamy texture but creamy and chunky which I love and once you eat it you get just a hint of sweet at the end so when your eating the meat just really goes together perfectly. All in all will give the grill master all my business when I want good BBQ and I'm in TN by Nashville. Also his prices, I spend more at a fast food place getting something that's nothing like this guy. So great food great prices seriously can't beat this place. Might be small on the outside but what comes out of this place is just heavenly good. This is hands down the best BBQ in the Hermitage / Mt. Juliet area. The pulled pork is the juiciest I've found with great bark and flavor. This is a to-go food truck with no dining area but this helps keep the prices very reasonable. A $6.00 jumbo pork sand which probably weighs in at close to 1/2 of meat. He makes his own sauces from mild to xx hot. Smoked sausage with the spicy mustard is highly recommended also. For $15 I can feed a family of four. Great stuff! read more

We drove pretty out of the way to this place when we read the Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. They had run out of the ribs but the pulled pork, brisket, and the sausage were out of this world. We even took a third platter to go just because holy crap! The sides were also perfect, just like the quantity and price. Although there is no sitting, there is a shaded bar board to eat on. Overall, it is definitely worthy of the 5 star rating. We went on one of the coldest day around. Didn't matter. We had read the Yelp reviews and had to see for ourselves. The "restaurant" is a food truck with one guy manning the window. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but wow, the barbeque packs a lot of flavor. We ordered the brisket, full rack of ribs, and the sausage. The sausage was good and smokey. The ribs were very tasty as well and fell off the bone (a sign of good ribs). Good bark as well. But the brisket stole the show. It's clearly smoked off location and stored until ready to serve, but the flavor and moisture is unbelievably good. It just melts in your mouth. I've been to Texas and eaten brisket there, and this is near that level. Definitely the best brisket I've had outside of Texas. All in all, this is a hidden gem.
