They made us sign a warranty paper, then forged our signature on several documents, then sent it to the bank. They lied on the price, the price went from 13k to 22k, we had to get a investigator to get the contract because they never gave it to us It's been a real nightmare.

AVOID THIS PLACE,THE AMG AUTO TRADE COMPANY IS NOT THE PLACE TO BUY YOUR CAR!!!This place just…read morewants to profit off of you and the price they give you in nothing close to what it states it is.DO NOT consider offering downpayment to them because they would just take the cash and still ask the bank for a financing program for the original price of the car instead of asking for a financing program for the money that is left after you give them the downpayment money. This is my story, I went in and offered 8k downpayment and the car I was interested in was originally 17.5k.We came in,saw the car and we were more than happy to buy it the next day, they seemed reasonable when it came to negotiating but it was weird because we asked them to drop the price to 16k(just for the car,not including tax, etc.) and they automatically agreed, any other dealership would try to counter your price until you both agree this place was just shady off the bat.The next day we came in with 8k cash to buy the car from this scamming company, the owner wouldn't give us the final price and he was telling us how he would have to ask the bank for 17.5k finance even tho we would put down 8k, which makes no sense.I mean really,I'm sure there is people out there who would accept this offer because they aren't bright enough to see whats happening, don't let that be you! Instead if this car dealership was legit they would have to ask the bank for a financing program for 9.5k (the rest of the money after you subtract the downpayment from the original price) which would make sense but they wanted the 17.5k+8k(down payment) so they would profit from your downpayment which would make the car worth 25.5k in my situation(the price of the car circulates between 16k-18k).Again, do not get tricked into this scam!! I also have the whole conversation recorded so if anyone is interested in hearing that just leave a response under this review.

After a brutal experience at another dealer, my husband and I came to Garden State Honda hoping to lease an HRV. We were introduced to CJ, who helped us weigh our options and ultimately helped us decide that our best bet was to go with the mid-tier model -- the EX. We gave CJ a price we wanted to be at, and he was able to get us there without any issues. He explained what was happening every step of the way, and was patient whenever we had questions or concerns. A few days later, we came back and signed all the paperwork and left with our brand new car. I was pleased to find that when we signed everything, there were no hidden fees. Everything was JUST as CJ described. TL;DR If you're in the market for a new car, I HIGHLY recommend Garden State Honda for their excellent service and knowledge of cars!

How does a dealership not have the key to a car they're trying to sell? I left feeling like I wasn't taken seriously as a customer, possibly because of the way I was dressed. A good salesperson shouldn't judge someone based on their appearance. After leaving, I went to Paul Miller Honda and purchased a brand-new car that same day. Guess what? They had the key to every vehicle I wanted to look inside, and they treated me like a valued customer from the moment I walked in. I would never recommend this dealership, and I won't be returning. Train your sales staff to treat every person who walks through the door with respect and professionalism. You never know who's ready to buy.

Their manager (forgot his name) saw I was eager to make a deal, accepted the trade in. I took a $2k hit but was expecting $3-4k so I was happy. Their finance guy Tony was very helpful and responsive, got a PWI bumper to bumper 4 year, 60k mile warranty. Saw the Run Flat Michelin's were highly worn (barely had 5k remaining), Antonio offered to keep the price and send me to a tire installation shop they deal with which was about 45 min. Away and have nearly new replacement tires installed OR keep the tires and drop the price by $1k. I took up on the offer and got nearly new run flats ( about 80% tread remaining, see pic ) installed the same day I took the X5. About 1 week after I bought it, I noticed a leak coming from the rear differential. Called up Tony and he arranged my car to be serviced at a repair shop in Hackensack NJ (Tony's repair shop) and I had my X5 Towed (covered under my car insurance policy) to and from the repair shop and R Catena covered the repair costs. Walked away satisfied and highly recommend this dealership ! Will definitely go back after my 4 year extended warranty is over and my X5 is paid off
