Subaru Forester 2016. Air conditioner (A/C) failed- was just blowing warm air. The bill from a dealership made me speechless... Found Conti Care through Costco's auto program for car repairs. Percy figured out a problem with A/C very quickly. It was a leaking condenser. A/C was fixed. He fixed the front brakes, performed control arm replacement as well weal alignment. I've known Percy for years and have taken my cars to him on and off, but I never truly realized how good he was until recently. I own a 2005 Jaguar X-Type that I inherited--and love cruising around town in--but that joy came with a price. Almost every time I started it, I'd get the dreaded "Gearbox Fault" message, followed by several frustrating sometime over 5 minutes of silence before the engine would finally start. I spent thousands of dollars taking it to the best known Jaguar specialists in the Bay Area over the years, including a dealership in San Francisco, who kept it for months at a time, comped me with a loner, even replaced the Grear Box, but to no avail. I brought my car in under the Costco Auto Care Program after I had purchased new tires at Costco. my car was put on a lift and and its alignment was evaluated. Much to my surprise I was advised that the new tires did not require alignment. I offered to pay for the inspection and the Owner's son advised that there would be no charge. It seemed that it was a good workshop, so I took my BMW to fix the radiator with an estimate of $7-800, according to Google, also installation of LED lights in front since they were fixing the radiator would be easier to install. For the replacement of the radiator he charged me $1,097.00 and for the change of lights $200, that the price of changing the lights costs is the same as if the radiator was not being repaired. It's a little complicated, he replace the lights and remove the protectors light caps, he just handled to me, I say what is this, I can't remember authorizing to install the wrong set of lights. And mess up with computer it just piss me off , he never asked me if it was okay or I authorized the lights to be like this,he knew it need an adapter to work fine, nor said, need different lights bulbs, for the same reason my computer went a little crazy, because I had to install an adapter, issue he never mentioned me, he is the PRO, I would have managed it and installed it, the cost would not have been a problem, I like them to do things right, so when he spoke to me to tell me that the car was ready, arrive at the body shop and I didn't see my car at the shop, he went to Chavez market parking lot and drop my car there. One more thing pissing me of, so zero good experience with this guy, beside his ego is in the sky. Go to the gas station on 3rd st, Steve is reliable mechanic, and prices are ok, service 5 stars he hs always willing to help, so now they are my official body shop. read more

Carlo and his mechanics installed an engine on our Lexus RX350 and the car is running like new! The installation was done quickly in a few days. They might not be the cheapest shop, but I believe the extra $500 was worth it for such a major repair. I did not want to take a chance with any other shop for engine installation. I wanted to replace the Radiator too, but after they examined it, they did not recommend it. I recommend the shop for any major repair. read more

Percy is customer centric, so if there is a problem even after maintenance-or repair, he will diligently look for solutions and does not charge for the followup. To my good fortune, once I was off the freeway, I happened to stop my car about 50 feet from Conti Car Care and met Percy. More recently, I went back to Percy when I found something leaking under my car. Took my car in for a engine malfunction light on my 08 BMW 335i keep in mind it would only go on here and there. After taking to Conti Car Care and paying $500 for a sensor that probably did not need to be replaced I got my car back a lot worse. My engine malfunction light is still on and goes off WAY MORE now then it ever did. I feel like I paid for them to get my car worse, it almost seem like they tweaked my car so I can come back and spend more money. The only thing they did fix was my steering wheel making noise which was just some lose bolts. For sure would not be back, sucks because they are so convenient to where I live. read more

Okay, I've been meaning to write this review FOREVER.. I bought a 1995 BMW 325i Convertible from these guys... maybe 6 months ago? Possibly longer. I was suuuuuuppper sketched out because there are reviews of them being shady and selling bunk cars. I was worried about what I got myself in to, but I freaking love my car and it still runs real strong. Few electrical things off like brake light circuit, etc, (but this is pretty common petty stuff for BMWs). The only reason they get a 4 instead of a 5 is the guy was pretty harsh when I tried to haggle. I also think they may have illegally passed the car for smog because the carfax said fail, fail, fail, fail, fail, and then all of a sudden pass by them. But i registered it to a place in cali where it don't gotta get smogged ;) Also, they shorted me 20 bucks or something when I handed them a huge wad of cash, but it was by accident. Overall, just be careful, you get what you pay for, and if your sketched out, go get the car looked at by a mechanic you trust. That's what I did, and it's been all groovy. read more

I brought my Mini Cooper S 2012 to the dealer on Stevens Creek to do diagnostics because my check engine light came on. In that costly diagnostic test, they found no problem with the engine other than something loose that needed to be tightened. They made so many suggestions some urgent while others can wait. Total amount of suggested repairs was over $3,000. To my umpleasant surprise I was told that I was gonna get a discount if I give the dealer rep a good review. I went to Conti Car Repair for a 2nd opinion. I showed them the copy of dealer recommended repairs. They checked my car thorough and honestly told me that found only a couple of repairs needed and suggested tire rotation. From the original dealer projected $3000+, I only spent barely over $300 on this repair appt with Conti. I even got an additional 15% discount as a Costco member. The staff were very forthright, honest, friendly, polite & helpful, My car was out of the shop in over 2 hrs as promised. I strongly recommend this repair shop. read more

Had a slow leak in my tire , I pulled up to the shop first thing in the morning, asked from my car, " can you patch my tire?" "Yep, pull it in". To let you know, they removed the tire, and patch it from the inside, no plugs, a patch is much better, patches are less chance to fail. In 20 min, I was in and out. I agree with others that their sales dept is extremely fraudulent in their practices. I purchased a used Mercedes there. The day after I bought it the check engine light came on. Being that I am a former Mercedes Technician, I diagnosed and found the problem. It was a failure that had evidently been there a long time. There is no way the car could've passed smog with this failed part, leading me to believe that they illegally smogged the car. That is the only way they could have gotten it to pass the emissions test which is required by them when they sell a car. There were other issues with them as far as not living up to their word on the deal, such as saying they would replace the squealing belt, only to pick up the car and found that they put belt dressing on it instead just to quiet the noise. read more

I called Conti (on a late Friday morning) and spoke to Sergio to get a quote for an oil change on my 1989 Mercedes Benz and it was a reasonable price. They were able to do the job anytime after 1pm, which worked out well for me. Percy, who worked on my car, and is also the owner of the shop (I think), was awesome! He showed me what type of oil he was going to use before he poured it in (love that!) and I told him I had just put a bottle of synthetic oil in because I was low just to get me through until I can get an oil change. He proceeded to educate me, while he was putting the oil in my car, saying non-synthetic and heavier weight oil is best for older cars in California. He also let me take a picture of the bottle so I don't forget what kind of oil I need to use if I need to top it off at any point. He checked the undercarriage and all looked good! He said a couple of my tires were low, so he filled them to the proper pressure. My power steering fluid was low, so he topped it off. All in all, the service was great! My former mechanic, whom I've been using for years (20 + yrs.), I had noticed that whenever I had work done on any of our cars, I would be left with an empty tank of gas. So, I thought, the next time I take it in for service I was going to make sure there's only 1/4 tank (Premium is not cheap!). I could have taken down the mileage, but I would always forget. He charged me $85.00 for gas AND I would get it back with only a 1/4 tank! I was furious, but I never mentioned anything. Anyways, I won't be going back to him! This is actually 0 stars but, i can't select it as an option. This place is a FRAUD for car sales. They posted a vehicle for sale on craigslist and I called to see what their hours were and that I wanted to see it and the guy (Cesar) said the car was there and that he would be there until 4pm for me to look at. When my usband and i arrived, after driving 45 minutes, he said that another person had sold it the night before and that he did not know when i called. BS!!! Now, on Monday, the car is back to being listed on craigslist! I'm guessing they are using it as bait so DO NOT GO TO THIS place to buy a car!!! read more
