I blew my engine went to them to have a new one put in a long with transmission and clutch work as well as new tires. Got it back drove up north and back and took 12 quarts of oil and was not leaking. I was very specific in telling him before I took it in that I was knowledgeable and could do the job myself but at this point for the first time ever I was going to treat myself and let someone else do the job. WHAT A MISTAKE. When I took it back he said that I broke it and refused to fix it therefore I had to call AAA and they got involved finally after that and a letter from my lawyer he put the new engine in .it was ready on a Friday I wanted to go pick it up but he said he needed to test it Abit more So he promptly took for a hotlap over the weekend and wrecked it and didn't even have the guts to call me he had taken it to the body shop and fix it on the dl the only way I found out was through my AAA agent. Bottom line everything was at no charge engine tires etc. And got a few hundred dollars but a salvage title and its s sports car. So no would not recommend at all. read more

I just felt I was beneath of the normal customer they deal with. I have a car with 34,000 miles on it a new car but it wasn't a Mercedes. I'm not gonna say who I worked with but they kept me waiting for 30+ minutes with not being addressed by anyone until, the individual that I was supposed to meet finally addressed me and made me feel the business I was going to bring them was not worth their time. It's been months since I had to experience the service (or lack of) from the Autotech Motor Team. After long consideration, I thought I would post to helps others. I won't go into all the details that played out. I will say, I should have not had my truck towed in based on the AAA recommendation, as I usually check references, but I did have it tow there based on convenience. Several hundred dollars later in labor, with a few ($3.00) dollars in parts, and a handful of greasy handprints in my truck, I cannot recommend this shop to any friends or family, let alone strangers. There are TOO MANY customer focused shops that really care on building relationships with their clients, that care for their cars. Sammi is awesome! I just came out of a nightmare dealing with a shop down the street. I was referred to Sammi by a friend and when I took my car in, Sammi was very polite and sympathetic. He asked me what happened and looked over the repair order/bill from the last shop. I took my car in for a noice and the engine light only for the other shop to have my car for 4 weeks, costing me $5,000 and it still came out with the same issue. There happened to be an engine from the same car that I have out, Sammi walked me over to the engine and explained in Normal person terms about what the noise in my car could be. He is very straightforward with how long it will take for him to get back to you and sticks to it. This is appreciated because I had to hand hold the last shop the entire month my car was with them. Sammis shop is also the cleanest shop i have ever seen. I met him at 7:30 in the morning but arrived 30 mins early and found Sammi sweeping his garage before opening. read more

My mechanic for 20+ years. What is there to say? I've been working with Sami since my early 20's and I'm 45yrs old now. He's serviced every car I've had since I found his shop. He is honest, polite, fair, and it's always a pleasant experience. I hate going to the dentist. I love having my car repaired! He and his staff get it right 99% of the time, but if there ever is something that is not fixed when you take your car home, "bring it back" is what you will hear from Sami. No arguments, no negotiating, just give him the chance to fix it and that's what he will do. He wants to earn your trust and loyalty. Most of his customers have been coming to him for many years and its easy for me to understand why he has such a loyal following. There is no reason to go elsewhere. My 2004 Infiniti has 211,500 miles on it, and as I told him yesterday, "keep me running for while longer, I need this car to last for another couple years" I have no doubt he will do just that. Sammi (the owner) took my Dodge Viper for a Joy Ride, totalled it while commiting a hit and run, commited insurance fraud and then told me to pound sand! I cannot belive that I have waited this long to write this review. Many years ago I dropped off my Dodge Viper to Sammi's shop. They had always been a trusted family mechanic for many years and I would drop off my car and just pay whatever they asked. Granted, they were usually more expensive than taking my car to the dealership, I still took all my cars to him for convenience. One day I took my Viper to him because the rpm's were stuck at 1200. He said it was a simple problem and to leave my car with him for an hour or so. Well, my car was not ready that day and I was woken up by a call from him the next morning telling me that he totalled my car. What he did not tell me, which I found out during an independant investigation, was that he strapped both his small children into the front seat of my car and crashed it on Amphlet. He failed to mention that the crash was a hit and run. Every single panel of my pristine car was smashed in. He also lied to his insurance company and said that the crash happened one day later because he was in between insurance companies at the time and was uninsured. The insurance company paid me blue book on the car which, as we all know, is often below the market vaule. I approached Sammi and explained to him that I had recently (as in a few weeks prior) spent a couple thousand dollars on the stereo and to install pop doors on the car. I asked him to pick up that difference for the stereo which I felt was the least he could do after totalling my rare and exotic car. He not only refused to reimburse me, but he said that he would call the police if I returned to his shop. Long story short, I sued the guy. Ironically, ever since I stopped going to him, which has been many years, I have not had a single mechanical problem with any of my cars. Whereas before, it seemed as if something was always breaking on all my low mileage vehicles. read more

Sami has been working on our cars for years. I have over 200k on my car and he keeps it running in tip top shape. He is always very diligent in telling me what it will cost and how long it will take. I feel very confident in his work. I recently had a flat tire and was in another city. So I had it fixed at a tire repair shop that was new to me. The fellow there told me he had to check my odometer twice to be sure I really had that much mileage on my car. He could not believe how good my engine looked. That's all because Sami does all the upkeep on our cars. We both have older cars with lots of mileage and they run great. I get 28 MPH on a car with over 200k miles! Because we have Sami tune them up and keep them oiled and so on. Can't recommend him enough. Super service! read more

Will not be coming back to autotech ever again for any vehicle. Brought in my car to get serviced, once my mom picked it up there was a check engine light on the dashboard (she knows nothing about cars). Car turned into limbo mode only for me to go to another service place over the weekend to find out that the vacuum to the engine wasn't plugged in. Seriously? How can you say the service is done and have someone pick it up only to find out they did a poor job and get charged $600? Is no one checking the work after a mechanic is done??? The owner (sami) tells me I need to get new tires and get my car aligned which he would do for free. He suggests that I get my tires from costco and to bring it back to get aligned making me assume he is going to align the tires for free as part of the service. Few weeks later the check engine light turns on and starts flashing while I'm driving. More engine issues...and there is no doubt in my mind due to his negligent work. Of course when I bring it back after I've changed the tires Sami demands that I pay $90 dollars when the whole time there was no mention of a fee or payment and his tone becomes very rude and spiteful after I told him I thought alignment was free. I explained that there must've been some sort of miscommunication and was fine with paying but the way he started backtalking and talking down to me made me realize what a low quality shop this is. I will no longer be coming back to Autotech for any repairs for any cars. Sami is rude, ignorant and quite frankly not a nice person to work with. read more

Hands down one of the best auto shops I've been too. Sami and his guys are always honest and to the point. I searched the area for a decent shop and kept getting referred to AutoTech. I needed a brake job really bad. Sami quoted me a price better then any other shop I went to. He even showed me my old brakes and rotors and let me know what else my car needed. Avoid Autotech at all costs! I brought in my car to fix a cooling problem. Sammy, the owner, asked for over 2k for a gasket change and said he would fully back up the work with a 1 yr/12k warantee. Based on that he convinced me to go forward and repair the car. In a week the engine began to act up again and leak. I brought the car in and his response was "this leak is not my problem" and you need to pay another 1k to get it fixed. I am livid with this guy. He did not back up his work and tried to play it off saying it was someother problem. He became very nasty and did not work with me to get this fixed. The leak clearly was due to his negligent work. BOTTOMLINE: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. read more

This place is great, I'm very meticulous about my car and some other "rafa" place balanced my wheels all half-assed very recently. My car was shaking at the steering wheel around 80mph or so, passenger door rattling. Autotech had me in and out in 30 minutes, on the way home I didn't hear a peep from the passenger door. and on the highway the steering wheel is no longer shaking. I came in on a Friday afternoon around 4pm with a screeching engine. The doctor knew just how to treat the patient. Sami identified a serpentine belt tensioner pulley that had lost its seal due to wear and tear. This was causing noise since the lubrication had dried out. I have owned my beloved Acura since the winter of 2008 and took it to the thieving dealership in Burlingame for a couple of years, where a routine oil and filter change would run at least $300. Sami and the guys at Autotech are personable and, best of all, FAIR. They know what they're doing and are so nice, it would be lunacy not to recommend them to everyone. The last routine change I had was $56 and Sami was very helpful in telling me what needed to be taken care of and what I am able to wait on. Sami was honest, super response, and proactive. My car would not turn on, and when I tried to charge it I blew the fuse. I called the shop most highly reviewed on Yelp and was told I would have to wait two days and arrange my own towing. I then called Sami since they were the only shop open early in the morning and he immediately took care of everything.
