Great place to exchange money! Been here a couple times for Euro's! Parking is a little sketchy but I have never had an issue!

I needed to purchase some Euros for an upcoming trip so, of course, I looked on Yelp. I called my bank to get the exchange rate before calling this place. Continental Currency's exchange rate was better than my bank. Went there today. I was helped immediately. You must take cash. They don't accept credit cards. If I have any Euros left after my trip, I can take them back and exchange it to US$. They offer many other services besides currency exchange (DMV, check cashing, money orders, scanning, faxing, etc.). I highly recommend this place! read more

I called around for rates, and this place had the best ones locally. It's crazy how long this spot has been around--I remember seeing it back when I was in grade school. June, 27, 2025 10:49am Horrible customer service, I called to see if they exchanged BSD (Bahamas) to USD, I heard her clicking in her computer looking it up. She told me, "I looked it up and yes we do". I told her "great I'm on the way now, because the place I'm leaving doesn't exchange BSD". She said okay. I arrive there and the two ladies at the counter were talking and took a while to acknowledge me. When they finally did, I walked up and said " I was the one who just called about exchanging BSD". She asked for the currency, after looking at the bills for a minute she asked the other lady if she knew about these. The other lady looked at them and seemed confused. So the lady came back to me and said "we don't take these". I responded "I called and the lady I was talking to looked it up and told me that you did so I drove here". The two ladies looked at each other and she then said, " we only take eastern Caribbean currency ". I was soooo confused with that statement and highly annoyed. She didn't say sorry, no empathy or care of the misinformation I was given or the inconvenience of the drive. The ladies continued back talking as I walked out. Contacted CCS to convert USD to NTD via Yelp. They were able to get me NTD for my trip and had it ready for me at their location. Rate was okay (not great, but not awful either). I came here to get currency for a trip to Europe. The team was really responsive online and was able to hold the amount of euros I requested for my trip for me. Exchange rates change daily, so I ended up being the worst exchange rate the following day when I stopped by. Unfortunate, but not the fault of Continental Currency Services. If you have time, I recommend checking in daily or frequently to get the exchange rate for that day. Call early and pick up later in the day. There wasn't a king wait when I got there and there was pretty good amount of parking. Overall, good experience. read more

Needed Euros for daughter's spring break trip. I of course left it to the very last minute. Searched for foreign exchange places on Yelp and this came up and was close to home. Called ahead to make sure they had the currency and in small denominations. They confirmed having both. Drove to Pomona, didn't realize Garvey was a long, long street. Coming from 60 fwy, drove northbound. Make sure to plug the address into your navigation system (I used Waze). Signage wasn't very clear from Garvey and almost missed it. In fact, I was skeptical that Waze was lying to me again. Pulled into the parking lot and realize I was at the right place after all. Waze redeemed herself, thankfully! Lots of parking available. I was there mid-morning on a Tuesday. Place was clean, no lines and was helped by a friendly lady on the other side of a glass counter. Bring cash. I later compared their rates against Wells Fargo foreign exchange and Continental gave me favorable rates! Saved some bucks and that just made my procrastination pay off. I always come here to exchange my currency before my overseas vacation. They have a better exchange rate than most of the currency services around POMONA and beyond. Tip: Just try to call and order currency a week ahead before your trip as they need some time to look for currencies especially some rare currencies like Moroccan Dirham. During this week process, try to call and ask for status update because sometimes they do tend to forget to keep you updated when the pickup date is delayed. The place is not the cleanest and the compound where the place is located is quite sketchy so avoid picking up your currencies at late evening. I called ahead because I needed EUROS for my trip to Europe, and the employee who answered asked me how much I needed, and then answered my question with yes. So, we headed on over to this place, and I was glad to see that there's plenty of parking! The inside is clean and is a large space. We were helped immediately since there was no line, only one other customer who was sitting down. The staff was very kind and helpful. They let us know there were no fees for currency exchange, and changed my USD to EUROS. They did not pressure us to sign us up for anything, did not lie about their exchange rates, or have fake quotes, unlike other businesses. The service was so quick! We were expecting and prepared to wait at least 30 minutes before getting out of there, but we were done in less than 5 mins! They gave very competitive conversion rates for Japanese yen with no additional fees, barely beaten by two competitors on the west side of Los Angeles. I'I live in upland and drove 20-35 minutes south to Pomona on Garey and Phillips to have my tax return check cashed. My tax check was a hot mess. Walmart couldn't cash it because of the amount of the check, I had signed the back because the lady told me to. I went to my bank to deposit/ cash it they said 7 business days, I went to another check cashing place in upland they said they could give me $500 off it, take $500 in fees to cash it and hold the rest for 7 business days because it was signed. Damn Walmart lady! So, I called this check cashing place and asked all my questions regarding my situation. Olga, was so nice on the phone. When I got there she said she had called her boss before I got there to ask her what they could do for me. I was shocked because nowadays no one goes above and beyond anymore for customers. Olga said they could give me $500 and take $200 in fees to cash the check, and that they would hold the remainder till Friday March 3rd. I didn't care how far I had driven, I didn't care that I was only getting $500 bucks to use because Olga's customer service made my heart feel so good. I will be returning to this place of business and referring friends and family to come and see Olga. Customer service to me is #1, it comes from the heart and something your parents teach you from childhood my parents taught me to treat people with respect and treat them how you want to be treated.
