When I arrived at the hotel, if I recall correctly, I believe that I arrived early before the designated time to check into my hotel room. However, the woman at the front desk was nice enough to allow me to check in early into my hotel room. When I arrived at and in my hotel room, I liked my hotel room. The hotel room was spacious and clean. The hotel room had a microwave (which I did not use), but was a great amenity, nevertheless. The hotel room had a safe so that I can safely and securely store my valuables, which is something key that I look for when I stay at and in a hotel. When the safe was not functioning properly, I recall that I telephoned the front desk, and the woman that I answered the telephone promptly addressed the issue, and an employee from the hotel immediately arrived at and in my hotel room to repair the safe in my hotel room. The hotel is a relatively short walk from an eatery labeled "Brotzeit Lokal." This hotel did also serve complimentary breakfast, which was a huge plus. As a result, in general, and overall, I had a very positive experience at and in and regarding the Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel.

Pros: comfy king bed, big closet, large safe, microwave, fridge, keurig, quiet room, open balcony, San Francisco Bay Trail below our balcony, large bath with separate shower, Exercise room with no free weights, Quench water machine, EV chargers, snack/drink machines, morning breakfast/coffee served (worth skipping). Cons: No USB ports in the room?! Hotel is fairly close to the sketchy side of town (homeless camp 200 ft from hotel). No cold bottled water for rewards members, no pool, no airport shuttle, carpeting instead of laminate flooring, paid parking, our thermostat was really glitchy and would not work. Added benefit: your hotel key gains you access to the Executive Inn and Suites next door. There you will find a small pool/hot tub. There's also a small bar that opens at 5pm (happy hour 5:30-7:30) and you can order food as well. A Monday night stay was $325 and they charge $17 a day to park in their lot next to Hwy 880, not in a garage. I thought the rate was fairly high considering it's not the closest hotel to the airport and it's in the sketchy part of town. Check out the photos.

There a small microwave at the breakfast area for your food and drink warming convenience if you use world of Hyatt point, excellent value.

Super close to walk to all the things there, so which we loved. -Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Even made us a free coffee after breakfast time had ended and things were already cleaned up. -Nice looking hotel and rooms. Rooms had a mini fridge and ours had somewhat of a living room situation. -Free breakfast that had quite a bit to offer. Negatives -Bed was extremely firm. I actually woke up sore the next day. -Wall's are very thin. We had some loud neighbors going on late into the night on a Wednesday. -Our room was SO warm. It was really cold out yet no matter how low we turned the thermostat the temperature never got below 74. We are people who like it cool when we sleep so between the firm bed and warm temp we didn't get much sleep. Extra note parking was available on site for $40 or you could parking in the Bay Street garage for $25. Given the positives I think we would give this place another try especially if the thermostat was working.

And the cleaning staff does a great job cleaning the room is you request the service. I had a lovely spacious sized corner room on the 12th floor. The bathroom was great. Water pressure was nice. I utilized the gym both mornings. There are 6 treadmills, a weight room, pelotons, elliptical stations, etc. They have a water station and towels available too. I didn't have an issue with using the equipment or finding an available treadmill. We also utilized the free Marriott minivan for a ride to dinner with my 5 other work colleagues. Rebecca was friendly and offered us a ride within 3 miles of the hotel. She dropped us off and picked us up as well. What a wonderful service. We also had drinks one evening at the bar. Great service and delish drinks. You cannot go wrong staying at the Marriott City Center...lovely hotel and staff. I hope to be back soon.

Ambiance: it is a beautifully decorated with much Oakland and City vibes. I'm not sure when they were established here but it looks brand new. The rooms are clean and spacious. Service: it's great. Walked up to the front desk and I was checked in within five minutes. There were a couple of people in line but, I hardly waited. There is a restaurant in the hotel and may I say you should order their five layer chocolate cake? It's delish! This hotel also has a lovely event space. One con for some people might be that you can hear the music from the event from the lobby to the second floor. I didn't mind it though. I'd stay here again. Note: parking fees are different whether you are doing self parking or valet. We chose Valet! Great service!

You can do mobile check in on the app and there is also a mobile key. I am a Diamond member and while I would not say it was the friendliest Hilton I've ever experienced it certainly wasn't bad. My quibble. The door on some of the rooms are overcut. The airgap at the bottom seems like a bit of a security issue. Although one could say the lack of one could also be viewed as a security issue from another angle. A couple conferences were in town at the same time I was staying here so the bar area was a touch overcrowded with the normal tech business. Some of the drinks were wandering out into the main lobby area. Where they sat for a couple hours with stray napkins, etc. It seems like a basic commuter Hilton for people who for whatever reason find themselves with the necessity of staying in Emeryville or get a better deal than springing for SF. The bed was comfortable. The room itself was clean. Check in and check out were smooth and unremarkable. The room had a tub. My preferred getting clean option! If I was a tourist I would probably be a little underwowed. But I'm not, so it was just fine. If you are a tourist considering this hotel know it's nothing fancy but it is near the shopping mall that is Emeryville and for that reason everything will be pretty easily accessible. 4/5 for lobby cleanliness but otherwise perfectly serviceable. The room itself was quite comfortable with two queen beds. My first disappointment in this place was that I found a black curly hair in the bathroom sink. It made me think that they may not have cleaned very well before we got there. Our second disappointment was that the bar closed early. We came back from watching fireworks at around 9 o'clock and the bar was supposed to close at 10. It had already closed by the time we got back there we were hoping to have a quick drink. We are also very disappointed that nobody knew anything about a shuttle that could have taken us down to the end where the park was so we could watch fireworks. I think that the staff was friendly enough, but didn't have a lot of knowledge about what was going on. It would've made it a lot easier for us if we've had the information about the shuttle so we didn't have to carry our chairs over a mile to the park. The street also was closed which we were not informed about. The refrigerator barely kept our food cold. I was very disappointed in this place.

This is the place, the room was clean and neat and was equipped with two TV's,it also has a kitchen and a couch. I'm surprised that the room comes with the kitchen and couch since usually just comes with the beds and a TV. When I went to the pool the staff offered and asked us if we wanted pool noddles. Not many hotels have that. Awesome place to charge and refuel.

This is something that one should ever have to experience, especially when visiting a new area or being displaced. The most concerning aspect of the situation is the apparent lack of security measures. There are no visible security presence or cameras in the parking area. This leaves guests feeling completely vulnerable. While filing a police report, I was told incidents like this are not uncommon in the area, which makes the absence of basic safety precautions even more absurd. Despite the severity of the situation, the hotel did not provide any meaningful support or reassurance afterward. Safety should be a top priority for any hotel. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying at this property.

The king room was very clean and modern. Everything still feels brand new. I appreciated that they provided 2 bottles of water in the room -- always a huge plus for me. Spacious shower, blackout curtains, comfy bed, robe... what more could I ask for? There is a restaurant in the lobby, Otto's, where I did enjoy breakfast in the morning. The rooftop lounge was unfortunately not open during my visit. Housekeeping turns over & refreshes your room daily (if you wish). I was able to safely walk everywhere I wanted to go within 5-10 minutes. This ended up being the perfect location in reference to the wedding I was attending at a venue around the corner. It was a great little getaway for this solo trip. Would definitely stay here again!

Day of the wedding it took 30 minutes of me waiting to get the car. 30 minutes which put me behind schedule arriving late and was not allowed to attend the wedding ceremony. On top of that which I didn't bring up to hotel staff because I was already livid and super late so I just wanted to get going was that the cars system let me know the car had been running for 50 minutes. Which means while I was waiting for 30 minutes panicking I was going to be late the car was mysteriously running. Whatever it is what it is it's a nice hotel but valet is the downfall.

I just wanted to check in when I got to the hotel, get my stuff from my car, get a drink and wake up the next morning at 5am to get ready to go to an event. Shout out to the receptionist and the girl who was stocking the drinks that night..they were SUPER NICE to me and provided me exceptional service. I felt welcomed and taken care of even though I was only staying overnight. They made my very long day wonderful..their kindness meant a lot to me.

Sheets, covers & pillows were not on the same levels of quality, however... A very underwhelming set of dressings for such a fine mattress. Yet, the overall TV solution could be much simpler, particularly regarding the dual-remote system, which was as cumbersome as the AC controls... Audio performance was also subpar, making it a struggle to hear movies at a reasonable volume. Consider packing a Chromecast/GoogleTV. The hotel is very clean, in a great location and even offered a canteen where you could purchase snacks and some frozen meals. We will definitely be back.

Cons - The tv never worked. I even called down to the front desk and it rang 10 times + but no one picked up. I tried everything on the remote and with the random cords hanging out. The containers in the bathroom had 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner. I was hoping there would be one container for body wash so all I could use to wash my body was the bar soap by the sink. The windows were filthy and need a washing on the outside...it's definitely been a while. The room was clean with the exception that the bath tub looks like it has leftover stuff on the bottom of the tub but its stains but it still looked very funky. The rep who checked me out was definitely not very friendly. Pros - Check in and check out were easy and quick. The location to my company was convenient.
